-Eva's POV

We get to the library doors and I gently push the door open. I feel Asher standing behind me. I hear the turning of a page and walk in. I sit down next to Leila while Asher begins walking around the room.

"Hey sis, did you find anything interesting?" I turn towards Leila who then puts her legs over my lap.

"Great Expectations by Charles Dickens." She says closing the book and placing it on her lap. I chuckle. Who reads something like this at her age?

"That's an interesting choice." Asher comes and sits in a chair beside us. I can feel him looking at Leila and me.

"So where is everybody?" Leila says looking towards Asher.

"My friends fell asleep with your sister in the theater."

"Figures, Cara can't stay awake for any movie we watch." Leila states back. "I'm sorry what is your name?" I smirk at my sister's cheekiness.

"Asher Moore" He says reaching out to grab Leila's hand.

"Leila Willow," She says shaking his hand. "Hey sis, is this your boyfriend?" I abruptly spin my head towards her and glare at her. I can hear Asher trying to stiffen a laugh.

"No, he is not my boyfriend..." I answer "He is just a friend that I met a few days ago." I can hear Asher talk under his breath but don't really catch what he said.

"The way he is looking at you says otherwise." She says nonchalantly.

I can't help but laugh at her. "Well I wouldn't know how he looks at me."

"He is given you the look that dad used to give mom." That stopped me dead in my tracks from continuing my laughing fest. Mom & Dad... I feel Leila reach for my hand. "I'm sorry, I didn't-"

"It's okay Leila, don't apologize." I squeeze her hand and give her a forced smile. "I'll be back in just a minute."

I get up and start walking towards the door. I can feel Asher stand up to. I turn back towards him and gently shake my head letting him know that I need to be alone for a second. I walk out the door and close it. I walk to one of the bathrooms and go inside slumping down on the door for a minute. I take deep breaths trying to control the tears from streaming down my cheeks. How I miss you guys.

I pull out my phone. "Hey can you come get me?"

-Asher's POV

I was about to get up and follow Eva out but I see her gently shake her head at me. I know she wants to be alone so I sit back down and just stare at the door she just closed. I turn back and see Leila already looking at me.

"My sister has went through things that no one should ever have to go through. I hope you are patient with her." She says still looking at me. I nod my head at her.

"You sound to wise for your age."

"Eva trust you otherwise you wouldn't be sitting with me right now." She says gesturing towards me.

"Do you mean close to you or close to her?" I ask leaning forward onto my knees.

"Both." She says standing up walking towards a bookshelf. "She maybe blind but she would be willing to kill anyone who hurts me or Cara. May want to mention that to your friend that seems to be all over Cara." She says putting her book back on the shelf.

I can't help but smile at her. She is straight forward and isn't afraid to speak whats on her mind. She comes and sits back down in front of me.

"How old are you?"

"I'm 11, how old are you?"

"17, same as your sisters." I say looking back towards the door.

"I can tell you care for her..." My head snaps back to her. "Do anything to hurt her, I will find out and it won't end well for you." She is glaring at me by this point.

"I won't." I say back confidently. She nods her head at me. I hear the door begin to open but then Cara, Parker, Brody, and Marcus walk in.

"Where's Sis?" Cara ask.

"She stepped out for a minute." Leila says looking over her shoulder. Leila gets up off the couch and gives her sister a hug before walking out of the room.

"Wow... you guys really do have a library in your house?" Marcus says sounding awestruck. I roll my eyes at him. Cara just giggles at him.

"My sister must like you Asher." Cara says sitting down on the couch. Parker comes and sits beside her.

"What makes you think that?" Parker asks looking at her.

"She wouldn't have left him alone with Leila." I smirk remembering how Leila just said that.

"I'm guessing she doesn't allow a bunch of people to get near you guys." Brody says from upstairs.

"No, I don't."

All of us snap our heads towards Eva standing at the door. She starts walking in.

"What made Asher so lucky then?" Cara ask watching her sister walk over to us. Eva just stops and smirks but doesn't answer.

"So how long have you girls been here?" I ask.

"We came here about a week ago." Eva says sitting beside Cara. Cara lays her head on Eva's shoulder.

"Where were you guys before that?" Parker ask. I watch Eva and Cara tense from the question. Cara taps Eva's arm. Eva nods before answering.

"We were traveling around but most recently we were in Nevada." I cock an eyebrow and look over to see Parker looking questionable as well.

"Nevada to Florida, that's a change..." Parker states questionably.

"It was time." Eva says simply. She didn't elaborate and I didn't want to push her. "So, are you guys ready to go back to school?"

"Ugghhh, you just had to bring that up didn't you?" Brody says walking to us.

"Why do you make it sound so bad?" Cara says lifting her head up off of Eva to look back to him.

"It's not really that bad especially when you are with the most popular guy in school as you friend." Brody says gesturing towards me.

"And which one of you would that be?" Eva says directing her head towards Brody.

"Your boyfriend." Parker says leaning towards her. I glare at him.

"He's not my boyfriend." She says. I don't know why but that kinda hurt. "So Asher, does that mean your screeching ex will be there as well."

Brody & I laugh thinking about how she recalls Danielle. Parker looks confused at me. "Danielle is not my ex, but yes she will be there as well."

"Dude, she met Danielle?" Parker ask.

"Yea, she was at the club." Brody answers for me. "Actually she stood up to Danielle and called her a last resort booty call." He says proudly putting a hand on Eva's shoulder.

Marcus & Brody bust out laughing. Cara glares at her sister while Eva just shrugs.

"Well she definitely kept Asher's attention enough..." Parker mumbles. What the fuck man?! I glare at him before looking at Eva who shoulders have slumped a little. Brody slaps his head.

"Eva it's not-"

Knock Knock

All our heads turn towards the door. Lucas walks in and stops a few feet away from us but looks at the back of Eva's head.

"Eva, let's go." He says gesturing towards the door. Go, go where? Why is she leaving? Eva nods her head. Cara gently grabs her arm when Eva stands up. Eva turns to her sister and kiss her head in a motherly manner before giving her arm one good squeeze. Cara relentlessly let's Eva go. Eva goes to Lucas and they disappear through the door.

"Seriously Parker?!?" I say glaring at him.

"What, would you rather she heard it from someone else?" He says shrugging. I continue glaring at him but I can see Cara shifting uncomfortably on the couch... almost like she's worried??

"Cara, are you alright?" Brody says noticing her discomfort. Her head snaps to him and she puts on a smile that qnyone can tell is forced.

"Hey guys, I need to get going." Brody says standing up. We all decide it's time to leave. I can't believe Parker? Fucking Prick!! How Eva just looked once he said that made me feel like I was guilty of something... And where did that Lucas guy come from? Why did Eva just leave with him without saying anything?? All these thoughts were rushing through my mind as we were walking out the door. My head snapped up once Brody nudge my ribs and gestured for me to look up.

There in front of me was Eva getting into a black car wearing a black one piece outfit with some high heals. My eyes narrowed in on her feeling like I just wanted to run her but I restrained myself. She looked incredible!

She got in the car and they sped away. We continued on to Parker's Lexus. Where Parker asked me if I knew where Eva went off to? I didn't know but one thing is for sure. Eva is just a mystery to me...
