Bree's POV

Chase was gone when I woke up. At first I saw nothing in it. I want to the living room and found no sign of Chase. I superseded around the house and Chase was no where to be found. That was in the morning. I hoped he would come back, but he didn't. It's now 11:05pm and he still hasn't returned. He wasn't at school either.

I sat in the living room watching the door carefully. Tasha, my 'mom', was cooking in the kitchen and Adam was playing some video game with Leo. Mr. Davenport was in the lab trying to locate Chase. What was taking him so long?

I got up and super speeded to the the lab. Mr. Davenport was frustrated on his work.

"What wrong?" I asked. "Where's Chase?"

"His signal is turned off," he said. "I don't get how that's possible."

"Why not?" Couldn't we turn off our signal whenever we want to?

"The signal needs a special code only I know. It is the most protected device on earth." He said. "I'm not exaggerating."

"I wonder how he turned it off," I said.

"I just don't get it!" Mr. Davenport cried. "I need a break, my stress bad for my beautiful face."

I super speeded back upstairs. Still no Chase. What happened to him? Well, he did say he was feeling bad last night.

What if his secret spilled! What if he went to the hospital, got x-rays, and his secret was found? That would be- wait if that happened wouldn't that be the only thing on TV? Of course it would. So that crosses out that possibility.

I just want him here. In my arms.

"Hey, Bree, you wanna play?" Leo asked handing me a controller.

"Two reasons why not: I don't know how, and two now's not the time!" I cried.

"Okay, cheesh, you don't need to be mean about it," Leo said with wide eyes. He sat down next to me. "Look, I know you're worried about Chase. But he'll come, you watch."

The doorbell rang. Leo, already bionic, said,"I know I have a bionic arm, but I didn't know I could predict the future!"

Adam was almost to the door but I speeded in front of him. I swung open the door to find my love.

I jumped onto Chase throwing him on the floor. I kissed him, but he didn't kiss back. That's weird. I broke free from him and got up. Adam helped Chase up throwing him off the floor a little.

"Chase where've you been?" Adam asked.

Chase answered, "Leo sent me to go get tickets to a hockey game, but gave me the wrong directions. I ended up in a subway, unable to use my bionics."

I looked at Chase. Oh my god. His eyes. "Chase.... Uh, um, what's up with your eyes."

I blinked and his eyes were now normal. What?

"What do you mean?" He asked innocently. I shook my head. "Nevermind."
