9 | Secrets Revealed

I WAS ENJOYING MY breakfast when my phone ringed from an unknown number. I ignored it the first four times till I let out an annoyed sigh and pushed the boy from me, his limp body falling to the floor with blood oozing out of his neck.

"What?" I barked into the phone.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." A very familiar voice spoke from the other line.

"Oh sorry, I don't take calls from unnecessary people." I said before ending the call, throwing my phone on the couch.

I headed over to the kitchen, stepping over the dead body of the boy. I pulled out a bag of blood from the refrigerator and took out a wine glass. I popped open the bag and poured myself a glass.

I walked to the stairs to head up to my room when painful whimpers sounded behind me. My steps halted and I turned around to see the boy slightly sitting up, his hand instantly covering his neck in pain.

"Oh, you're not dead." I mumbled.

The boy's eyes fell on me and he instantly panicked, jumping to his feet.

"Who - who are you?" he stuttered, pointing a finger at me.

"I'm Emilia." I replied shortly, placing my hand on my waist. "Oh, this is going to take a while." I muttered under my breath.

"W-What happened to me?" his eyes held fear and pain in them as he stumbled over his words.

"I drank your blood." I said honestly and his eyes widened in horror. "Oh don't worry, I left you some. I'm not that mean." I chuckled, stepping closer to him.

"Don't move." he barked, his voice wavering slightly.

"Listen, buddy, I have no time for this. Door's right there." I pointed at my front door, "If you know how to turn the knob, then you can find your way out."

He stood silently.

"Are you human?" he whispered lowly.

"No, I'm a hybrid. I kill people." I said, "And if you don't leave now, I'll kill you."

The boy instantly moved his feet and stumbled over to the door, turning the knob but it wouldn't budge.

"The door's locked, idiot." I throw my arms up dramatically. "I guess you can't find your way out."

Finally, the boy managed to unlock it and he and stumbled outside, the door slamming behind him.

I sighed in relied, taking a sip from my glass. I cringed at the sour taste, placing my glass on the kitchen island.

"Oh that's some nasty blood." I moved to make my way upstairs.

Halfway through the stairs, a knock came from the front door and I huffed.

"Door's open." I said loudly as I made my way downstairs.

The door flew open and in came a very familiar person, smirk widely displayed, mischievous glint sparkling, and arms wide open.

"There's your sexy ass, miss me?"

I tilted my head slightly, "Aren't you Klaus's brother?"

His face instantly fell along with his arms. "Forgotten me that easily, gorgeous?" he replied disappointedly.

"Oh, honey, I have the tendency to forget about unnecessary people."

"You're different than the last time I saw you." he mumbled, spacing off for a while as he thought. "I'm guessing you no longer have your humanity."

"Oh, Kol, if only I had an Oscar for you." I placed my hands on my heart in fake sadness.

Kol smirk made an appearance once again, "Oh, so you do remember me."

"Unfortunately." I muttered, "But to be honest, in my head you're that guy who has nothing better to do than constantly flirt."

"Ouch, sweetheart, you hit me right here." he places his hand on his heart.

I rolled my eyes, "What are you doing here?"

"Rebekah asked me to fetch you."

"Fetch me?"

"Yes." he nodded, "She's working on her plan."

"Well sorry, but I don't want to do anything with the plan or you Mikaelsons." I replied.

"You don't really have a choice." Kol quietly said as he walked towards me. "I don't want to do this, but I have to."

I narrowed my eyes at him, opening my mouth to speak but Kol had already started compelling me.

"You will head over to school with me and you'll obey all orders given to you." he said, "Understood?"

I almost rolled my eyes at him but I held myself and instead decided to play along. But honestly, how stupid was he?

I nodded, "Understood."

"Look who's here, sister." Kol announced pushing the double doors to the library with his arms around my shoulders.

My eyes instantly fell on Stefan, Elena, Rebekah, and Caroline who sat in a circled table. I could feel the tension and I almost wanted to smirk, but lord knows how bad I tried not to.

Rebekah stood up as a wide smirk widened on her face. "What a pleasant surprise!"

"Oh, what a joy!" I exclaimed sarcastically, "I've really missed you, blondie."

Rebekah chuckled and rolled her eyes, stepping around the table before she walked over to me. I narrowed my eyes at her, watching her every move before she stood directly in front of me.

"Emilia, it's so good to see you again." Rebekah smiled sarcastically.

"Couldn't disagree more." I replied bluntly.

"Sit down."

Rolling my eyes internally, I obediently followed her orders and walked over to the table. I sat down next to Caroline, placing my hands on the table. All three looked at me and I smirked at them.

"Good," she turned to her brother, "Now fetch me Shane, he words at Whitmore College."

Kol nodded before he turned around and left the library, not before sending me a wink.

"Alright," Rebekah clapped her hands, turning to us. "Let's spice things up a bit. Elena, truth or dare?"

"We're done playing your stupid games, Rebekah." Stefan said.

"Truth or dare, Elena." Rebekah repeated, ignoring Stefan. "You're compelled. Answer."

Elena sighed, "Dare."

"I dare you to tell Stefan the truth about Damon." she dared, crossing her arms.

Caroline scoffed, "Seriously?"

Compelled, Elena says, "Being with Damon makes me happy."

"Makes you happy?" Rebekah asks, scoffing as she sat down between Stefan and Elena. "Clowns make you happy, Elena. Dig a little deeper."

Elena gulped, looking at Stefan. "When I'm with him...it feels unpredictable, like - like I'm free."

"Oh, my god!" I groaned, placing my chin on my palm. "This is such a sap story."

Rebekah asked, "And how do you feel when you're with Stefan?"

"Stop." Caroline said.

"She can't, she's compelled." Rebekah said, smirking at Caroline.

"Lately, I feel like I'm a project, like I'm a problem that needs to be fixed." Elena started, staring down at the table. "I think I make him sad, and I can't be with someone like that, because when he looks at me, all he sees is a broken toy."

Rebekah smiles but Stefan looks hurt by what Elena said.

"Do you still love Stefan?" Rebekah asked.

"Yes." Elena nodded.

"Are you still in love with Stefan?"

"No." Elena replied, looking like she wants to cry.

Rebekah turns to Stefan, "Did that hurt? Having someone you love drive a dagger through your heart?"

"Go to hell."

"Did that hurt?"

"Yes." Stefan answers.

"Welcome to the last 900 years of my life."

"Okay, this is entertaining." I sat up, "Watching those two rip each other's hearts out, but...why am I here?"

Rebekah stands up just as Tyler bursts through the double doors.

"Ah, good, you're here." Rebekah smiled, "It was just getting depressing."

"What the hell is going on?" Tyler asks, coming to stand next to me as I crossed my arms.

"Listen to the rules carefully." Rebekah turns to the vampires, "Stay in the building, no vamp-running in the hallways."

"Vamp-running from what?" Caroline asks, confused.

Rebekah smirked and turns to Tyler and I. "Turn." she compels.

"What?" Elena exclaims.

"They can't, they'll lose control!" Caroline added.

"That's the whole point. I've exhausted all your knowledge. Now I have the professor to help me find the cure, you're just competition." Rebekah said, "Whoever finds it first gets to decide what to do with it. Use it, share it, destroy it, save it. I want that to be me."

"But if we turn, we'll kill them."

"Yes, you will." she nodded, "Turn."

Rebekah looked at us one final time before she walked out. I roll my eyes and turn to walk towards the double doors.

"Emilia?" Caroline asks.

"What?" I growled, turning on my heels to look at her.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Leaving. What does it look like to you?" I asked, scoffing.

"Aren't you compelled?" Elena asks, frowning.

"You didn't seriously think I wouldn't be on vervain, did you?" I tilted my head, laughing lightly.

"But I don't get it, Pastor Young destroyed the vervain supply." Stefan replied, frowning.

"Not for me, he didn't." I said, turning back around.

"You're just gonna leave us here to die?" Caroline exclaims.

"Um...yeah. That's the plan." I said before finally walking out the double doors.

I followed the sounds of Shane painful cries to the custodial closet. I stopped by the door and watched as Kol continuously shoves Shane's head into the tub full of water while Rebekah stands by and watches.

Kol yanks Shane up as he breathes heavily for air.

"You're human. Why do you want it anyway?" Rebekah asks.

"That's the beauty of this." Shane replied between breaths, "You can have it. I just want Silas."

Kol holds Shane up by his shirt, "No. What do you know about Silas?"

"He's the world's first immortal being, who just happens to be imprisoned with the cure." Shane answered, "And I want to free him."

"No!" Kol growls, shoving Shane's head back in the water.

"Stop!" Rebekah shouts, as Shane stays under water for too long.

Kol brings Shane back up for air and throws him. Shane falls back and lands against a metal shelf, water dripping from him as he gasps for air.

"He's of no use dead." Rebekah said, sighing.

"Did you not just hear what he said?" Kol turned to his sister, "Silas will kill us all, sister."

"Silas does not exist. He is a-a fairytale made up to scare children into eating their vegetables."

"Silas is very real. I know where he's buried, and soon I will have the spell that wakes him."

"Wait a second, you're lying. You can't get to him." Kol says, looking down at Shane.

"Without his tombstone? Dozens to die in a blood sacrifice? Believe me, I know. I've done it. Those massacres are a pain to engineer." Shane says, smirking slightly.

"You're the one who got the council blown up." Rebekah says, realization falling on her face.

"It was a noble sacrifice...and temporary, because once I raise Silas, Silas will raise the dead." Shane said, "He will bring back every last soul who died on his behalf."

Silas would raise the dead and I bet there's a ton of dead people who would want the Mikaelson's gone, which is a good thing. But if Klaus dies, I would die. And that's not a good thing.

So I still had to kill Shane, or it would be the end of me. But then Kol picks up a thin metal pipe and drives it through Shane's stomach.

A knock came from the front door while I was changing. I ran downstairs and opened the door, a smirk gracing my lips once I saw who was on the other side.

"I come bearing gifts." she smiles as I let her inside while she carries a big brown box.

"That's good." I shut the door, "I'm running out."

"So, what did you do today?" she asks, opening the big box that was filled with vervain water in water bottle.

"Meh, nothing much." I shrugged.

"You're not gonna tell me anything?" she asks, sighing.

"Yes." I nodded, "I still don't trust you, Katherine."

"And I'm still not surprised." she purses her lips, "Well, have a good day. And don't waste a drop."

"Alright." I replied as she pulled open the front door.

"Bye." she waved before she left, shutting the front door behind her.

I sighed as I started storing the vervain water bottles into the refrigerator. My phones rings on the kitchen island and I grab it, huffing at the ID number.

"What do you want?" I ask, all the while placing the bottle in the refrigerator.

"What do you say about turning a club full of humans to vampires?" Klaus asks from the other end.

"What's in it for me?"

"What do you want more than fresh human blood?" he asks.

"Hmm, you're right." I reply, "Okay, I'm in."

"Great, meet me at Zanadew Lounge."

How was chapter 9??

This chapter didn't really have a very fun plot but it was important because some things were revealed. Like what shane's plan was, what silas would do, and where emilia got her vervain from.

Also, next chapter will be a rollercoaster because emilia is gonna be involved in some serious blood and fun.
