+ i hope that's alright with everyone!! enjoy the chapter!!

HOLDING MY DRESS, I walk up the lawn to the Lockwood Household where the pageant is being held. A cocky smirk is plastered on my face, knowing very well that some action will take place today.

I might start it or someone else might. Who knows.

Trudging my heels against the grass, I finally make my way to the house. I blow out a sigh and let my dress slip past my fingers. A few eyes turn to me, staring me down and studying my appearance. Some of them sent me smiles of pity – probably because of my parents – and others just stared at me in disgust.

I snorted to myself, rolling my eyes at the strangers as I moved my feet, making my way throughout the crowd.

I was totally not expected here and everybody knew I wasn't invited, which made them quite surprised. I was surprised myself and quite hurt at the fact that I wasn't invited.

Oh I'm sorry, did I say hurt? I meant I don't really give a fuck.

"Emilia!" Caroline exclaims, her eyes wide as she comes to a stop in front of me. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh you know, the usual. Smiling at the people and pretending to be polite. It's become quite a habit now." I replied, shrugging. "Oh and I'm also here to kill Professor Shane. Tell me if you see him, alright?"

I send Caroline one last fake smile before I walk past her, leaving her stunned.

I grab myself a glass of champagne from a walk-by waiter. I take a sip of it and keep my legs moving towards the entrance of the house. I jog up the stairs, one hand holding my dress and the other holding the champagne.

Just because I felt like it, I purposely spilled my champagne on the stairs, earning gasps from the guests behind me.

That champagne sucked anyway.

I smirked to myself and continued my way up stairs, my back to the guests and my strides confident. I finally came across the door and I stepped inside through the big white doors, the air condition blowing against my bare skin, my body adjusting to the change of temperature.

"Emilia." A stunned Matt stops at the bottom of the stairs, his eyes wide as he stares at me.

"That's my name."

"What are you doing here?" He slowly asks, stepping down the last step till he stands in front of me.

"You see...I would tell you but then it's not really your business." I told him.

"Wow," he chuckles dryly, "You do know you're not invited, right?"

"I know."

"Yet you're still here."

"Hmm...well you see, Matty Blue." I mumble, stepping closer to him till our noses touched. "When I want to do something, I will do it. And no one nor anything will stop me."

"Duly noted." he nodded.

"Good." I smirked before I walked past him.

"What is it that you want?" his questions stops me and I turn to him.

"Well, that's for me to know and for you to...not know."

I turn around and make my way into the house, my eyes searching for a certain Professor.

You're all probably wondering why I'm after Professor Shane. I'm not after him, I just want to kill him. But meh, same thing.

Anyways, it came kind of suspicious to me how this Professor Shane just came out of nowhere. He seems to know all the answers to everything and he has Bonnie falling at his feet. Something is off about him and I have no time to interrogate him.

Killing him just seems easier.

I round a corner and my smirk widens when I spot Elena standing in the middle of the hall, the wheels of her stupid useless head turning.

"Look who it is." I muse, walking closer to her.

Elena turns to me swiftly, her eyes wide and her body frozen.

"E-Emilia." she gasps as I come to a stop in front of her.

"Hey. How are you, killer?"

Elena's face falls and her mouth parts in surprise. "I — "

I hold up a hand to stop her. "Don't answer. I don't really care."

"What are you doing here?" she asks, "I'm surprised you came."

"Why? Because I wasn't invited or because I'm a bitch like that?" I ask, tilting my head in question.

"Neither actually." she replies, "I just thought you were resting."

I narrowed my eyes at her, "And why would I be resting?"

"Because you were injured badly."

"And how was I injured badly?"

"You were kidnapped and tortured."

"And who kidnapped me and tortured me?"

"Connor."

"Oh yeah! What happened to him by the way?"

Elena gapes at me, her eyes watering.

"Oh right, he's dead." I chuckled dryly, "And you killed him."

A tear slips past her eye and she instantly wipes it, increasing the size of my smirk. She looks at me one more time before she turns around and walks away.

"Hey Elena," I call out to her and she turns to me, a small glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Have you seen Professor Shane?"

Her face falls but she nods, "Yeah. He and Damon went to talk outside.

"Of course, Damon." I mumble to myself, "That manipulative asshole."

I sigh and turn around, heading towards the doors that lead to the party outside. I push open the doors and walk past them, the sun shining bright down on me and the gust of wind blowing slightly against my skin.

My eyes roam the place for the two idiots I'm searching for and I finally spot them standing over beside a table, their heads close to each other as if they're talking in secret. Which they probably are.

I waste no time and walk towards them, my fists clenching. I can't wait to punch his brain out of his head.

"Professor Shane. Just the idiot I've been looking for."

Both men turn to me, both they're expressions surprised as they take in the fact that I stand before them.

"I'm sorry but, do I know you?" Shane asks, his eyebrows creased in confusion.

"How could you not know me, man?" I scoff, "I'm the bad bitch who's going to kill you."

Shane's eyes widen slightly and he tilts his head, his mouth opening to utter something but Damon cuts him to it.

"Excuse me, bad bitch, but I want to talk to Professor Shane. Privately."

"Hmm. Well, I want you to rot in hell but we can't always get what we want, Damon."

Damon narrows his eyes at me, "I thought you always got what you want, Emilia."

"You really wanna try me, Damon?"

"I've tried you before, Emilia, and you were an average."

I chuckle, knowing very well that he was changing subjects.

"Well, it seems Professor Shane isn't the only one who's going to end up dead tonight."

"Enlighten me on how you plan on killing me, Gilbert."

"Well I plan on using your average dick to choke you to death."

"One thing you should learn about men, Emilia, is to never insult them about their dick."

"Well I think that represents the fact that I'm not afraid of you."

Damon rolled his eyes and he looked over my shoulder before an irritated sigh escaped his lips.

"Thanks to your blabbering, Shane escaped."

"He can't escape. Not from me."

"Are you sure? 'Cuz he just did."

I roll my eyes, "I think you're forgetting the fact that I'm a hybrid, Damon. A very angry one."

"Remind me, when are you not angry?" he asks.

"When you're not around."

"I'm so done with you." he mutters before he turns around and leaves.

"Point for me, bitch." I chuckle to myself.

"Word's around that Emilia Gilbert has showed up, spilled champagne on the stairs, and made a chaotic scene with Damon. I didn't believe any of it until now."

"What gave me away?"

"Not sure if it's the chicken you'r stabbing or the psychotic look you've got on your face."

I rolled my eyes, pulling the fork out of the chicken and placing it on the table. "What do you want?" I ask, sighing.

"Caroline's pissed at the mess you're making and we both know how Caroline gets when things don't go as planned. Especially event related."

"Hmm, of course. You have to make sure your precious Caroline is satisfied." I stood up, "Well you see, Klaus, that would just make me want to make an even bigger mess."

"Emilia, how about you just leave right now and no one gets hurt." he replies.

From the corner of my eye, I spotted Professor Shame step inside the Mansion.

"I'm a woman on a mission, Klaus, and you're not going to stop me from getting what I want." I scowled, glaring at him before I sashayed past him.

I quickly headed towards the Mansion's entrance where I saw Shane walk into. I walked hurriedly, my strides quick. I bumped into a few people who later on scowled at me and cursed, me flipping them off right after.

I finally stepped inside the house and instantly started roaming the halls, my ears and my nose searching for any sign of him.

Fortunately, his familiar empowering fragrance  hit my nose and I followed the scent down the hall. The scent lead me to the living room and I stepped inside it, my eyes instantly spotting Shane who stood in the middle of the room, his phone pressed against his ear as he spoke into the phone.

As if sensing me, Shane turned around and narrowed his eyes at me. He said something into the phone before he hung up, sliding the phone back into his blazer.

"What do you want now?"

"I'm going to kill you."

"Why?"

"I have my reasons." I shrug.

"And may I know what your reasons are?"

"No, you may not." I mimicked him.

He rolled his eyes, "Okay then, answer this. What are you going to benefit from killing me?"

"The satisfaction."

"That's it?" he asks, "You'll be satisfied?"

"Yes, Shane, shove that information into your tiny brain."

"I will assure you it is not tiny."

"Yeah, because asking me why I want to kill you isn't stupid." I mutter.

"What did I ever do to you?"

"You existed."

"No seriously, Emilia, what is it that I did makes you want to kill me?"

I blow out a big breath, "I don't trust you."

"I don't expect you to. We don't know each other."

"Tell me, bud, how come you show up to Mystic Falls just now?"

"I don't know what you're talking about. I taught in Mystic Falls for years."

"Now, that's just a lie."

"And how do you know that?"

"Because I can tell when you're lying.

"Right, because you're a vampire."

"No, because I'm a hybrid." I corrected, "And if your tiny brain doesn't know what a hybrid is. A hybrid is a very strong creature who can kill a human in a millisecond and if you don't stop talking, I'm afraid I'll just have to do that."

Shane chuckles, "So you want to kill me because I'm suddenly in Mystic Falls."

"No. I have my other reasons." I mumble, "But like you previously said, Professor Shane, I don't trust you."

"Okay then – "

Before the idiot could utter another word, I rush up to him and slam him against the wall with a deadly grip around his neck. He gasps and kicks his legs in the air, his hands trying to pry my grip.

"You talk a lot." I say.

He only gasps for breath as he digs his nails into my hand. His lips move as he tries to utter words, but I can't hear them.

"Wow. A deadly grip around your neck and you're still trying to talk."

Suddenly, two hands grab my shoulder and pull me back forcefully. My grip from Shane falls and he falls to the floor, his hands rubbing his neck as he takes deep big breaths.

I trip backwards but manage to stay on my feet, furious to whoever pulled me away from killing that idiot.

I growl and swiftly turn around to look at who had the nerve to pull me away. My eyes land on Damon who stands between Shane and I, his eyes glued to me.

"Do you ever do anything else other than killing people?" he asks, furrowing his eyebrows.

"You son of a bitch." I scowl, "I was seconds away from killing him."

"As much as I'd love for him to be dead too, he can't be dead just yet."

I glare at him, "The idea of killing you right now sounds satisfying to me."

"Of course it does." he rolls his eyes.

"Emilia, oh my god." Elena comes into the living room, her eyes wide. "You can't just go around killing people like that."

"Shane is not some people. He annoys me and I want to kill him." my eyes look at Shane only to find that he is gone already.

Elena sighs, "Great. Now he doesn't trust us."

"He never did." I chuckle dryly.

"Why are you trying to kill him, Emilia?" Elena asks, crossing her arms.

"I just feel like it." I lie, shrugging.

"Wow." she chuckles.

"This is a waste of time." I mutter, turning around to leave.

"Wait, Emilia." Elena grabs my shoulder, "Can we talk?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Because I don't like you."

"I know that. But could you at least listen to me?" she pleads.

"No."

She sighs, "Okay then. I just wanted to tell you that I didn't give up on you."

"Why not?" I ask, turning to her. "The Emilia you know, Elena, is dead. She's gone and she's never coming back."

"There's no harm in trying." she says quietly.

"I like me like this Elena. For once, nothing revolves around you. You know why? Because you're dead." I smirk, "By the way, where's Stefan?"

She glares at me.

"Told you that he won't stick around longer. He hates you because you're not his innocent girl any more. You're a monster."

Her chin quivers.

"Welcome to the club, Elena. I have a feeling you'll be stuck here forever."

"Don't listen to her, Elena." Damon says, glaring at me.

"Interesting." I mumble, my eyes moving between Damon and Elena. "Something's going on between you two. I can feel it." I smirk, "That's also why Stefan broke up with you, isn't it?"

She gulps, exhaling a nervous breath.

"Wow. So your kiss really did mean something, huh?" I chuckle dryly, "Great."

I smirk, "Caio, bitches."

I turn around and leave but a hand clasps on my shoulder, halting my steps.

"Wait." Elena says quietly, her voice pleading.

"What?" I snap, turning to her.

"I can't live without you, Emilia." she says quietly, her eyes watering.

"Then die."

I slap her hand off my shoulder and turn around, walking to the exit.

"I really did lose her, didn't I?" Elena asks quietly.

"We all did." Damon replies.
