11 | Island Hunt

"GOD, WHAT'S this dump?"

I jump from the boat, my boots sinking into the soft sand with a light thud. My narrowed eyes studied the place Shane deliberately brought us to. My face scrunched up in dislike.

The dumbass brought us to an island.

I turn to the group as they unload from the boats on the shore. I spot Stefan as he turns to look at me with a backpack in his hand.

"Here." he hands it to me.

I eye the backpack, my right eyebrow raised in question.

"That's not mine."

"I know." he replied, "I packed it for you."

"I don't remember asking you to do that." I told him.

"I know." he repeated, "But you deny the fact that you might die out here without your necessities."

"These are not my necessities," I replied, "they're yours."

"Why do you even bother, brother?" Damon sighed, coming to stand next to his brother.

"She thinks she can survive without her necessities," he rolled his eyes, "wouldn't it be entertaining to watch her fail miserably?"

"Damon – "

"You think I might die here like that dumb hoe over there?" I ask, nodding towards Elena who miserably tries to zip shut her backpack.

Elena's eyes snap to mine and they narrow, "You know I can hear you, right?"

I sarcastically smiled.

"I'm pretty sure Elena's capable of surviving here, by herself too if that were the case." Damon replied, "You, otherwise, are gonna die the second you step between the trees."

"Are you challenging me, Salvatore?" I crosses my arms.

"I wasn't actually..." he said, "but now that you mention it, I do."

"Great." I place my hand in front of him.

"Wonderful." his large hand clasped mine and we shook hands, my hand purposely gripping his painfully.

Stefan eyed us, "Just so the two of you know, I have nothing to do with this."

It's night time and we're hiking up the woods as Shane tells some story about his past, honestly I wasn't paying attention but he was still annoying.

"Do you ever shut up!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air in exaggeration. "All you've ever done this whole time was talk talk talk, you're like a fucking radio. Actually, you always talk. All the time and it's all fucking nonsense."

Everyone stops and turns to look at me.

"We're here for the cure so why don't you just do your job and find it before I seriously kill you right here and bury you right beside you're obsession Simon or whatever his name is!"

"Emilia – " Bonnie steps forward.

"Shut up!"

"I think you're forgetting that I'm a witch." she glares at me.

"And I think you're forgetting that I'm a hybrid, Bonnie." I snarled at her, "So get in line."

I walked past her, bumping her shoulder purposely as I pass the group and continue hiking up the woods alone.

"I think it's her stomach talking, she hasn't eaten or drank anything." Damon muttered.

"If you don't shut it, I'm gonna grill you!" I growled.

"Keep talking, sweetheart." Damon winks.

"I'm sorry if it bothers you that I talk a lot, Emilia."

"You're doing it again, professor."

Shane walked forward as the rest followed him, all giving me disappearing looks.

I rolled my eyes at them before I followed.

Shane pulls out his phone and raises it high in the air, "Satellite phone lost its signal."

"Well, that's a good sign." Damon mutters, sarcastically.

"Is anyone else a little creeped out?" Elena asks, wrapping her arms around her body.

Before I could make up some remark, Rebekah raced me to it.

"So then leave." she said, "Out of everyone, your presence is the least necessary."

"Please don't start." Stefan sighed. "We've had enough of Emilia already."

That got him a glare from me.

"I'm merely stating the facts." Rebekah shrugs, "Jeremy has the spell on his body. Bonnie is the witch that unseals the cure. Shane is the human compass. Emilia is very entertaining. You and I have the tombstone, which does god knows what. And Elena has no point."

"You've earned one percent of my appreciativeness." I told Rebekah.

"What about me?" Damon asks.

"You have a nice behind." Rebekah replied.

My face fell, "Now you've lost it."

Ten minutes later we stop at a site.

"What is this place?" Stefan asks.

"According to island lore, a group of college kids came here for spring break. A few weeks later, they were all found dead, completely drained of blood."

"Well, tragic for them, brilliant for us." Rebekah says, "Who sleeps where?"

"You guys have fun with your little camp trip." I turned to them, "I'm gonna go have some real fun."

"Don't get yourself killed." Elena calls out when I start walking away.

"Please, die in a hole."

I continued walking away from them and entered the woods once again. The moon and the stars illuminated the place as I dove in between the branches.

Suddenly, a low growl could be heard a few meters away and I instantly turned in alarm. I stood in a defense stance as I turned to look for the voice.

"Show yourself." I spoke loudly, a low growl erupting from deep within my chest.

It happened so fast I barely caught sight of it but when I turned around, a large ass wolf stood in front of me; its claws and fangs bares as it growled at me.

I snarled at the wolf and before I could make a move, I was suddenly on the floor with the wolf on top of me, its claws deep against my throat. I growled, glaring up at the beast.

I wrapped both my hands around its throat and threw it off me, instantly jumping to my feet. The beast stood up on its feet again and growled.

Once again the beast was quick to jump on me, its claws slashing against my chest, leaving a gash on my chest. I looked down at the claw marks on my chest, blood dripping out of them.

I hissed but quickly forgot the pain and pounced on the beast, kicking its side harshly. It went flying to a tree before it fell to the floor. I wrapped my hand around its neck and pulled it up, carrying its heavy weight as I pinned the beast against the tree.

The beast growled at me and scratched it claws on my hands, trying to make me loosen my grip. But that just made me angrier and I tightened my grip on its neck.

With one arm, I flung the beast across the woods as its body went flying. I could hear bones cracking as the beast's body hit the tree once again and rolled onto the floor.

I walked to the beast on the floor and once it tried to stand up, I place my foot on its neck and pressed down, earning a groan of pain.

"You never give up do you?" I asked, staring at him under my foot.

"Shift." I said, removing my foot from its neck.

The beast only growled and stood up. I kicked its face and it fell back onto the floor.

"I said shift!" I growled loudly, snarling at the beast. "Now."

The beast only stood back up and went to pounce on me again.

"That's enough." I growled lowly, before I punched the beast halfway through its jump.

The beast rolled onto the floor and I grabbed onto its neck, flinging it across the woods once again.

"I said shift!" I yelled, "Now! Or I will cut your head off!"

The beast growled.

"Shift!" I yelled loudly, my voice echoing through the woods as I glared my blue veiny eyes at the beast, my fangs slipping out. "Or I will drain your body of blood, and trust me I haven't had anything all day."

The beast stepped back, its ears lowering as it whimpered quietly. It sat on its lower body with its head down.

My body shook with anger as I took deep breaths that sounded more like pants. I wanted to know who this bastard was and why it was attacking me. I wanted to show this bastard who was in charge of this now.

I watched before my eyes as the beast slowly shifted into its human form, the fur disappearing and replaced with skin. I narrowed my eyes at the man kneeling before me, muscle everywhere covered with bronzy skin.

I watched as his head looked up at me and I was met with strikingly blue eyes, defined nose, rosy lips, a subtle, and messy brown locks that fell on his forehead.

I soon realized that his legs were covering where his manhood was supposed to be. I also realized that he was looking at my leather jacket.

I sighed loudly and slipped off my jacket, throwing it at him. He was fast to catch it with his hand before he stood up and placed the jacket in front of his lower body.

Abs.

I suddenly feel the hots for this guy as I openly looked at his chest and abs covered with slight sweat that dripped down his body. I ran my eyes down his muscled legs.

"I - uh- I'm sorry for...that. My wolf can get a little...vicious." A deep husky voice spoke and I looked up to see him looking at the three long slender holes in my shirt that showed the three bloody gashes on my chest.

My black bra was openly showing through the holes and it was also slightly ripped.

I sighed through my nose, "You're gonna pay for that."

I eyed him, "What's your name?"

"Aiden. You?"

"Emilia." I replied, "So I'm guessing you have a place somewhere here in this dump?"

"Yeah." he nodded.

"Okay then, lead the way."

Aiden nodded and starts walking the other way from the site. I followed him and walked beside him.

Aiden clears his throat, "So...what are you?"

"I'm a hybrid." I replied, "Half werewolf half vampire."

"I've heard of your kind but never really saw one."

"I'm guessing you're a werewolf?"

"Yeah."

"Where's your pack?"

"I don't have one." he answered.

"So you're like a lone wolf."

"Yeah." he nodded.

"What happened to your pack?" I asked as we walked side by side.

"They betrayed me." he sighed, "I was their alpha. I used to be in New Orleans and I ruled this pack. That was until my greatest enemy manipulated my pack and he took them away from me. They held me prisoner for a year until I woke up one day on this island, alone."

"How long have you been here?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"For six months." he answered, "I think."

"That's not long."

"Easy for you to say." he said, "People come and go. They leave some...abnormals behind."

"And I'm guessing you've had to deal with them?" I said.

He nodded, "Yeah. Almost lost my life a couple of times."

"How come you look fresh and clean?" I narrow my eyes at him.

"Oh well, I go to this barber shop across the lake to get my haircuts." he replied sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes at him.

"You might not believe it but I used to be bald." he answered seriously, "They shaved my head completely when I was held prisoner."

"Did you send them a thank you note?" I asked, "It would be rude not to."

"I did, actually." he said, "With a handmade leaf envelope and three x's to show my absolute love."

"That's wonderful." I said, "Very very nice of you."

A deep chuckle erupted from within his chest.

"Do you know anything about the cure?" I asked.

"You mean the cure the cure?" he asks.

I nodded.

"Yeah." he nods.

"Have you found it?" I tilted my head.

"How will I find it if I'm stuck on this island?"

I nodded but didn't say anything. If I told him he might find the cure, kill us me, then flee the island.

Aiden suddenly stopped in his tracks and I realized that we stood in front of a cave.

"This is where I stay." he told me.

I nodded and stepped inside, following the dull light that came from inside the cave. I stopped and studied the place. There was a hammock that was hung low from the ceiling, torches on the walls, blood stains on the floors, scattered clothes on a rock, and wood kitchen materials on the floor.

"This is not too bad." I said, "Could be better."

"Thanks." he replied, "So, how are you here?"

"I'm looking for someone." I lied, "I just came today."

"Who's this someone?" he asks.

"None of your business." I replied, "Now give me a shirt and give me back my jacket."

"Oh right, sorry." he chuckled awkwardly. "Um...do you mind not looking while I change."

I rolled my eyes but turned around while crossing my arms.

"Okay." he sighed, "Here."

I turn around to see him handing over a white shirt and my leather jacket. I took it from his hands as I took in his attire. He was dressed in khakis with no shirt.

"You mentioned a lake." I said, "Where is it? I need to wash up."

"Follow me." he nodded outside.

I threw my leather jacket on the hammock and followed him outside. He walked me between the trees before I soon stood in front of a lake that was not fare from his cave.

I grabbed the hem of my shirt and pulled it over my head, flinging the shirt to a nearby rock. I took off my boots and jean shorts, placing them alongside my shirt.

I heard Aiden audibly gulp beside me as I walked towards the shore of the lake with only my underwear on. I dipped my foot inside and was instantly met with cold ice water.

Yet I still walked inside till the water reached my waistline. I turned to look at Aiden who stood watching me.

"Aren't you gonna join me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"N-No, I'm fine." he swallowed.

"Come on." I nodded towards the lake, "You need it."

Aiden's face fell and I chuckled before I swam further into the lake. When I turned back around, Aiden was already halfway through the lake.

I smirked and swam backwards, heading towards the waterfall that fell on the lake, splashing little drops of water around.

I dunked under the waterfall, the hard strong waters falling on my body as I washed my hair. I opened my eyes to find Aiden rubbing his hair as well.

I smirked to myself and swam closer to him, taking him by surprise when I wrapped my legs around his hips and my arms around his neck. His eyes opened and he stared at me with wide eyes.

"I'm going to have so much fun." I said quietly before I grazed my teeth on his jawline, moving my lips towards his own.

I caught his bottom lip between my teeth and tugged at it, earning a groan of pleasure from the back of his throat. I smirked and continued my assault on his lips before I fully captured them.

Aidens strong hands were placed on my lower back before they slowly traveled down to the back of my thighs and he gripped them.

"We..just..met." his breathless voice said between kisses.

"Where's the fun in taking things slow?" I asked, pulling back. "I find you hot, you obviously find me hot. So why wait."

Aiden laughed, "I never said you were hot."

I raised an eyebrow, "You don't find me hot?"

"No, I do. I would be stupid if I didn't." he replied.

"So why are we still talking?" I asked before I captured his lips again.

It may be mean to pretend to be nice and like I had feelings. But no one told the idiot to fall for it.

So excited to finally be able to introduce Aiden!! I really hope you guys are gonna like him.

Also, sorry for being late...once again. But I kinda lost motivation to write for a while but I finally gained it back.

Please vote and comment, it helps motivate me. Also, share this story with your friends.
