I started to lead Megan to my secret spot when I could start to feel her fear. Yeah, I can sense that, it's a daughter of Hades thing. Anyways, she was so nervous that it reminded me of my first time going in these forests- along with Hailey, Shirley, and Sarah. I laughed a little and Megan looked at me cautiously. 

     "It's okay," I said, patting my sword hilt. "If anything attacks us I'll be here to protect you. Besides, there aren't any difficult monsters to fight in this forest." She nodded warily but she was still pretty scared, and I couldn't blame her. It seems like yesterday when they told me that I was a demigod, and all those monsters were real. 

     We continued to walk forward until we made it to a huge clearing- the old gathering place of the council of Clovin elders. Hailey, being the usual comedian she is, was sitting on the middle throne, imitating Silenus by shoving a bunch of leaves up her shirt to make herself look fat. 

     "No, no, no!" She said in a British accent trying to sound like a Royal. "That is not the way of the trees!" Shirley and Sarah burst out laughing, and I smiled at the goofballs my friends were. Then Hailey let out a snort, which made her laugh so hard that she fell off the throne- causing her leaf belly to explode everywhere. 

     By this point everyone was clutching their stomachs, and even Megan cracked a smile. Finally they realized we were here, and Hailey got up and started brushing the leaves off of herself- not used to being seen like this in front of random people. 

     She began to make her way over here and smiled at both of us, still towering over me as usual. "Hey Vroom Vroom, do you mind introducing us to your new friend?" By this point Sarah and Shirley were already beside her. "First of all, you know I hate that nickname," I scowled. 

     "Secondly, this is Megan. Megan you've met Shirley and Sarah." "Yeah." She waved and they smiled at her. "Hey!" They both said in unison. I hated it when they did that.

     "And this giant, that towers over everyone she meets, is Hailey, our fun loving brown haired, blue eyed daughter of Apollo." I said, patting her arm. "Nice to meet you!" She said in that sweet voice that you never hear again unless you're in trouble. "I'm Hailey, Hailey Anderson, and," she raised an eyebrow. "Have you met our dear friend Daniel?" She looked at me and feigned her surprise. "Why yes!" She said in a mocking voice. "Yes I have!" 

     The three of them looked at me with a smile on their faces. "Well we can't have this information out on the loose, can we Shirley?" Sarah said with a smirk. "Of course not Sarah!" I rolled my eyes and gave them a playful push. "Well looks like you're officially part of our group now Megan huh?" I said turning towards Megan. 

     She took a cautious step backward and raised an eyebrow. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" She asked. "Don't worry," said Shirley, and then she leaned in close and whispered loud enough for me to hear, " just don't get on Hailey or Veronica's bad side, they can both do some damage if they get a bow or a sword on their hands!" Hailey and I both slapped her arms. "Ow!" She exclaimed. "Oh shut up!" We both responded, and the group started laughing. 

     We all sat down and properly introduced ourselves, and the more we shared the more I realized how lucky I was to have such an awesome group of friends, and was now excepting one more.
