Just a few more minutes, I thought, staring at the clock. It was the last day of school, and the entire class was ready to get out of there. Of course I was ready to run with them, but for different reasons. The class was well, okay I guess. The usual mean girls, divas and jocks were there like in every high school story. 

     But there was something... different, about that class, and especially about Goode High School. I mean, sure, you see a few rude teachers in school, and that's normal right? But do all of them sniff and growl at you when you pass them in the hallways? I was so caught up in thinking about that stuff that I didn't even notice when the bell rang. Half of the class was already gone, and as I was making my way out the door I hear, "Megan? Could I speak to you for a moment please?" 

     Oh great. What I fail this time? I turn around to find  Ms.Hagsberth's wrinkly face smiling at me. "And close the door while you're at it dear." I sigh and start closing the door when someone else's warm hand grabs mine firmly but gently, and stops me. I look up to see who it is... and my heart stops. 

     It's Percy Jackson, only the hottest guy in the entire school. He's 6'2 (A/N: I don't know how tall he is) and really muscly, but not gross muscly like hot muscly. He has raven black hair that sticks out in every direction like he's never brushed it in his life. His eyes are the colour of the sea- not blue but a mesmerizing sea-green. Oh and one more thing, he was holding my hand. 

     I open my mouth to say sorry but all that comes out is, "Umm, umm." He just smiles like he's used to this and says, "Could you wait outside for a little bit? I need to have a... private, conversation with Ms. Hagsberth." I nod my head yes and quickly let go of his hand, which was probably sticky now thanks to my perspiration. After he closed the door I heard multiple strange noises; hissing, shuffling, and at the very end, a loud wail that echoed through the empty hallways. 

     Finally the door unlocked, and I hesitantly opened it. I look inside for Percy or Ms. Hagsberth, but strangely no one was in there. I step inside to get a better look, but freeze when someone locks the door behind me. I slowly turn around to find Percy at the door, covered in some sort of yellow pollen that was also all over the floor. He also had what looked to be a bronze sword from the ancient times (I learned that from greek class), but it turned into a ballpoint pen when he touched the tip with a pen cap. Was I hallucinating? 

     "What do you want?" I manage to say without tripping over my words. "I need you to come with me," he said, "I can explain on the way, but if you want to survive, I suggest you follow me right now." I was about to object, but my voice faltered when a pitchfork shattered the door's window. I heard more hissing as a woman's hand reached through and felt around for the door knob. "What are they?" I asked. "Like I said, I'll explain later." he replied, his handsome face dead serious. "But we have to hurry up if we're going to get you out of here alive." 

     I looked at the door, and back at Percy, and back at the door. Maybe I should've taken my chances with the door, but his face was just so cute that I couldn't resist. "Fine, what do I do?" He gave me a mischievous grin that made me think I made the wrong choice. "Nothing, nothing at all Megan, I just hope you have a good grip." And with that, he grabbed my hand once more and together, we jumped out the fifth story window.
