Rollan, Abeke, Conor, Meilin, and Tarik finds out that Zerif is Lloyd's stepfather

Abeke: Who is your stepfather

Lloyd: My stepfather's name is ZeriF

All: WHAT!!!!!

The teens and Tarik looks at Lloyd in surprise after finding out Lloyd's secret

Lloyd: Why are you all looking at me... Wait you all know my stepfather

Meilin: Of course we do, he is one of the conquerors here, he's basically one of the leaders of the devourer's war.

Lloyd looked at Meilin, in fright and started shaking, he thought he didn't have to see his stepfather again, as much as he would love the grab a mace and club it over his head, he still can't get the over the abuse and scars he left on his back.

Lloyd: You...you mean...Zerif my stepfather is here... In Erdas

Meilin looked at him, in concern and understanding what Lloyd his feeling, I mean its a scary thought to have the same person who abused him, in this world, and is one of the main leaders, but as a group, we all faced off of Zerif.

Rollan looked on and felt a protective surge through him, he didn't even know why he was feeling this way, he sure liked his new friend, and most definitely didn't like seeing his friend in pain.

Abeke chose to intervene at this point, she took a knee and looked into Lloyds' eyes, and saw fear in those eyes.

Abeke: I'm afraid so, but you have nothing to worry about now, you have us to back you up, not even Tarik would allow Zerif near you, he's more like a protective father then a guardian.

Lloyd: Okay, I trust you on this Abeke, I trust your word, but every time I see him, I just see myself as a 6yr old child again, getting abused, I can't help it, but I want to fight it, can you and Tarik, and the others train me up, I can fight, but not as skilled as you guys probably.

Abeke looked on and smiled at Lloyd

Abeke: Of course we can help you, I can teach you to hunt, use a bow, be stealthy.

Conor: I can teach you to use staff

Rollan: I can teach you to believe in yourself, and most obvious use a dagger.

Meilin: AND I, will teach you sword fighting, and fighting with your bare hands.

Lloyd: Really, well thanks this is honestly great.

Tarik: Well they can teach you their skills, but maybe you should also concentrate on your own skills as well.

Lloyd: Yeah, of course, I mean I specialize in Wrestling if that helps, I grew up picking idiot people up and dropping them on their heads...its fun

Tarik: That may be great, but that's more close up a battle, and most of the conquerors will have spirit animals and weapons.

Lloyd: So, let's do a nectar ceremony than, you told me you'll help right. oh, and don't doubt my skills in wrestling, I've dropped much bigger man than myself.

Tarik: It's not that I'm doubting you, I'm just saying it's important to have another skill, and that is your primary weapon, and yes we are just about to do a nectar ceremony for you, and I will be hosting it.

Tarik led Lloyd to the stage, on his side he had his friends looking on, and Tarik holding a flask, with some suspicious yellow liquid.

Lloyd: Wait, what is that stuff, I know suspicious shit when I see one

Tarik: I am just about to get there Lloyd.

Tarik took a deep breath and explained

Tarik: Today Lloyd, you'll embark on a new journey, new bonds and new experience. Today you take the Nectar of Ninani, and to determine if you get a spirit animal or not. Lloyd steps forth and take a knee.

Lloyd stepped forward, and got down on one knee, ready to receive the Nectar of Ninani.

Tarik: Lloyd, receive the Nectar of Ninani

Lloyd took a sip of the nectar, it tasted so good, it was so rich and sweet. It got to his heart, and he felt weird, his legs went numb, his arms felt weak, his heart started heating up, and he looked on seeing, Briggan howling, Essix screech piercing my ears, her screech is so loud. and suddenly he saw a flash of light, a black panther stood forth in Lloyd's path. Lloyd looked at the panther, he didn't know what to do, does he walk up to it, does he stand there, he was speechless, a black panther came out of nowhere. It was bulky, so big and great, its eyes so yellow, and its black fur so dark like the night sky. suddenly, the panther walked slowly up to Lloyd and licked his hand. Lloyd felt a surge of speed, agility, stealth. Honestly, he had no idea what is happening.

Abeke chose to intervene, she noticed Lloyd looking on in confusion.

Abeke: It's your spirit animal Lloyd, you have bonded to a black panther, and no one summons black panther, cause they are very rare to bond with. How do you feel??

Lloyd: I don't know, at first I was mesmerized by the panther in front of me, I just didn't know what to do, as soon as it licked my hand though, I felt a power surge through me, I feel lighter, stronger, healthier. I haven't felt this way in such a long time.

Abeke: That power is because of your spirit animal, cause of your bond, you inherit the panther's skills and powers. But that's something you'll figure out later. If you get your panther to trust you and the bond, it will choose to mark itself anywhere on your body and become a tattoo, this is called passive state.

Rollan: Well, any ideas of names.

Conor: Yeah, why not night

Rollan: Conor, no it doesn't seem right of a name, what about glow, cause of its eyes.

Meilin: Birdbrains that is just not right, you should name it, something that relates to your animal.

Lloyd: Hey, I already have a name for it, it will be called 'Shade' cause of its dark fur.

Abeke: nice name, it actually makes sense, I like

Meilin and Conor both agreed.

Rollan: its a good name, but I think glow is better

Meilin slapped if on the back of his head.

Meilin: Bird breath it's his choice dummy

Rollan: Okay, my lady panda, don't get your bamboo stuck in a knot.

Lloyd laughed and intervened.

Lloyd: snap out of it lovebirds, you both stink at flirting

Meilin blushed and looked away, while Rollan was left speechless. In the background, both Abeke and Conor was on the ground laughing.

Tarik: Now that you have been bonded with Shade, you can choose to take the oath of a green cloak, or you can take your time. This vow is an oath to protecting Erdas.

Lloyd: What do you say Shade, should we take the vow and get revenge on Zerif.

The panther looked Lloyd in his eyes and purred in agreement.

Lloyd: Well, Shade accepts, so I trust his Judgement, I accept the oath.

Tarik: Congratulations, you are now a green cloak.

Lloyd smiled at Tarik and the others, he laid next to Shade and patted his fur, and Shade purred back. Lloyd whispered 'Please trust in me Shade, I already like you a lot, and I feel like, we have just started on an epic journey together. I will be patient until you choose to become a tattoo'.

Shade purred in agreement and understanding and laid its massive head, on Lloyd's lap and went to sleep, with Lloyd not so far behind.
