I stood at the edge of the cliff

My knees shaking as I inched closer

The wind swept at my clothes as i wished

Sucking a deep breath in as it grew darker

Panic struck my heart when I heard your voice

It called to me somewhere in the darkest void

I didn't realize my ending had a choice

This death I chose, surely I could avoid

You call to me in such a way

That all the pain and the once decay

Of this fading soul found a light

Shining brightly, beckoning me so I just might

Turn away from falling into darkness

Leaving the thought of never being me

Finding such passion in your kiss' sweetness

I feel so breathless when I think of all we can be

You chased the shadows that lurked all around

Gave me a strength that I had longed for

In the depths of a violent sea, the only sound

I could hear was you singing me to safety on shore

We both fell to the wet sand in an embrace

Warming up in the summer sun
