Last time on 'Pop! The Brave Beats Crisis!':

Pulse jumps into the school and turns into Moni again, she straightens her clothes and enters the hallways.

"G-guys...?" She calls out nervously.

"Moni!" Kotone exclaims.

Meanwhile a figure stands on the far side of the school yard with a satisfied smirk.

BRIIIIIIING!

RING RING RING!

"Hibiki! Wake up!" Breakin yells.

"I'm up, I'm up..." Hibiki replies sleepily.

He sits up and wipes at his eyes groggily. He looks at one of his many alarm clocks,

"I'M GOING TO BE LATE!" he yells getting up and ready at rocket speed.

Breakin just sighs and gets into Hibiki's backpack. Hibiki grabbed his bag and ran out the door.

"Bye mom!" he calls charging onto the sidewalk.

"Alright class, we have another new student. Please say hello to him." the teacher smiles.

"Another one?" Kotone questions.

A tall boy with black hair steps into the classroom, he smiles slightly and sweeps over the crowd with his eyes.

"I'm Kurai Qeazu. Nice to meet you all." he says as his eyes meet with Moni's.

"What is he doing here?!" Moni thinks frantically.

"Alright, let's seat you right there in the front row." the teacher says.

Kurai nods and sits where he is told to sit. Moni lets out a quiet sigh and holds a hand to her heart.

Hibiki looks at her weirdly, "You know him?"

"Y-yeah. You could say that." Moni replies in a whisper as class began.

The lunch bell rings and everyone bolts for the door. Moni stands up and looks at Kurai; she motions him to follow her.

Moni leads Kurai to the school roof. She closes the door and turns to him.

"What are you doing here?!" she asks.

Kurai crosses his arms, "Am I not allowed to simply come visit you?" he asks while pretending to be hurt.

"No."

Kurai chuckles, "I'm actually here to check up on you and make sure you're doing your job."

"I am doing my job! I'm destroying the Do Disks as I was asked to do!" Moni counters putting her hands on her hips.

"Don't get pouty with me. I'm just here to help you out. You act as if I was bad or something." Kurai laughs.

"I already have help." Moni states; Kurai looks at her quizzically, "They call themselves the Brave Beats. They're helping me."

"I'll have to meet them if they're helping you." Kurai grins.

Moni is about to retort, when the door to the roof opens.

"There you are Moni! We were looking for you!" Hibiki exclaims stepping onto the roof.

Maito and Kotone follow behind him. They all look at Kurai.

Moni smiles slightly, "Guys, this is Kurai. Kurai, meet Hibiki, Kotone, and Maito."

"It's nice to meet you." Kotone and Hibiki bow.

"So how do you know Moni?" Maito asks.

"Straight to the point are we?" Kurai chuckles, "Well we come from the Da-"

"He was a friend of mine from my old school." Moni interrupts strictly.

She sends a 'don't tell them that!' look to Kurai. He quirks an eyebrow but nods none the less.

"That was close..." Moni sighs mentally.

"Suspicious..." Maito thinks.

"W-well, lunch is going to end soon and I'm starving! Let's go Kurai!" Moni grabs Kurai's arm and drags him away.

Hibiki, Kotone, and Maito all look at each other.

"What do you think they're hiding?" Kotone asks.

"H-hey they might not be hiding something..." Hibiki returns.

Maito and Kotone give him a 'you're just too nice' look and shake their heads.

Meanwhile...

"They don't know you're from-"

"Don't say it out loud!" Moni interrupts for the second time.

"Sorry." Kurai mumbles, "But why didn't you tell them?"

"Because what are they supposed to think if I told them? They might I'm crazy or something!" Moni exclaims.

"I'm sure they don't think you're crazy Moni." Kurai put a hand on her shoulder, "You should trust them more."

Moni stiffens at his touch but relaxes almost immediately, "Well I told them about Tippie. They have Dancerians too."

Kurai seems generally surprised, he considers his words carefully.

"Do you think they're the Brave Beats?"

Moni bursts out laughing, "The Brave Beats! Nice one Kurai!"

Kurai frowns, "I'm serious! Think about it, they have Dancerians to transform them and everything."

Moni stops laughing and goes wide eyed, "That's true..."

"See?"

"Yeah..."

Kurai and Moni look at each other.

The figure watches from the darkness; a wide smile spreading across their face. It's almost time...
