Last time on 'Pop! The Brave Beats Crisis!':

Moni steps out of the washroom to find Maito waiting for her.

"Feel better?" he asks.

"Yep!"

Together with Hibiki, Kotone, and Maito, Moni enjoys the rest of the festivale.

"Soon Brave Beats, I will destroy you all."

"Hibiki you're slacking again!" Breakin shouts, stomping his tiny foot on the floor of Hibiki's bedroom floor.

Hibiki groans and straightens out his back. Up, down and back up, then back down; having developed this rhythm, Hibiki was lazily doing his push-ups. Breakin, however, was not going to allow his partner's laziness.

"You're not going to improve unless you give it your all!" Breakin says.

"Yeah yeah." Hibiki groans, "Hey! Why don't we go practice with Kotone and Adeline?"

"That's a good idea Hibiki. Maybe Kotone can actually make you practice." Breakin jokes walking to the door.

"Ha ha ha. Very funny." Hibiki retorts following.

"Are sure this is the right place?" Tippie asks.

"I am, now get back in the bag!" Moni whisper-yells and pushes Tippie into her gym bag.

Moni pushes the door to the bakery open and steps inside shyly.

"Hello?" she calls out.

"Is that you Moni?" someone asks.

The door behind the counter opens to reveal Kotone covered in flour.

"H-hi!" Moni waves.

"Hello! I'll meet you upstairs in a few minutes. Make yourself comfortable!" Kotone says and heads back into the kitchen.

"Uh..." Moni climbs up the stairs and enters Kotone's room.

"Wow. Very modern." Tippie comments.

"Get back in the bag!"

"It's a modern room for a modern girl-a-roo!" a squeaky voice exclaims.

"Who's there!?" Moni stumbles back and gets in a fighting stance.

"Whoa, whoa, super stop-a-roo! I'm not the enemy!"

Moni looks down to see Adeline. She jumps back and falls on her rear.

"You gave me a scare little rabbit!" Moni says crawling toward Adeline.

"Super sorry! Didn't mean to scare you!" Adeline bows, "I'm Adeline! The super cute bunny dancerian!"

"So you're one of them too? I'm Moni." Moni holds out her hand to shake.

"Kotone's told me about you. She says you're super dancer-a-roo!"

"S-super dancer? No I'm not that great." Moni rubs her neck.

"If only you knew the torturous training it took to get this far." Moni thinks with a shudder, "And why does she keep saying 'a-roo'?"

The bedroom door opens to reveal Kotone and Hibiki.

"Hi guys! Hope you don't mind but Hibiki and Breakin stopped by to practice dance." Kotone smiles, "I see you've met Adeline."

Moni nods slowly, "Um I have a question..."

"Okay. Ask away!" Kotone chirps.

"Who's Breakin?"

"That would be me." Breakin steps into the room.

"A robot?" Moni questions.

"I'm dancerian."

"So you're a dancerian too..." Moni mumbles.

Hibiki and Kotone look at each other confused.

"Something on your mind?" Hibiki asks.

"Wh-what no-I-uh-!"

"Oh just tell them already!" Tippie shouts and pops out of her bag.

"A dancerian!" Kotone and Hibiki exclaim.

"I didn't even sense her pressence!" Breakin says surprised.

"Ehe. Guys, meet Tippie." Moni introduces nervously.

"Yo! Thank you for befriending this airhead." Tippie teases.

"Oh come on Tippie! That's not nice!"

Kotone laughs, "How about we go practice dance now?"

"Good plan." Tippie nods, "Onwards!"

"Let's take a break." Kotone suggests breathlessly.

"Sure." Hibiki says wiping some sweat off his forehead with his sleeve.

"Here you guys go! You guys are super sweaty-a-roo!" Adeline exclaims handing out towels to the students.

"Thanks." Moni smiles and dabs at her face.

"Wow look at that, it's already getting dark." Hibiki states looking at the purple sky.

Moni freezes, "D-da-dark...?"

"Is something wrong?" Hibiki asks.

"Wrong? Wh-why would you think something was wr-wrong? Aha, ha ha ha. There's n-nothing wrong." Moni rambles.

"Hibiki! Kotone!" someone shouts and runs into their practice alley.

"Eep!" Moni squeals and falls back.

The person grabs her wrist and pulls her up into their chest.

"Are you alright?"

"M-Maito?" Moni asks.

"Mmhmm. It's me."

"Are you okay Moni?" Tippie asks.

"Y-yeah. I'm alright."

"A dancerian?"

"What were you yelling about anyway Maito?" Hibiki asks.

"Oh yeah! Here, thought you and Kotone would like this." Maito gives Hibiki a sheet of paper.

"A courage test at the school?" Kotone reads.

"Yep. The seniors are putting it on." Maito explains, "I thought us four should go."

"Wh-what?!" Moni exclaims.

"Are you against it? You'll be going with Maito since it's pairs of a girl and boy." Hibiki asks.

"I-I'm- I'll go..." Moni mumbles.

"Great! Let's go!" Hibiki exclaims.

Moni gulps and she pales.

"Okay we're going in! See you on the other side!" Kotone and Hibiki exclaim and run into the dark school.

Maito turns to Moni, "Are you doing okay?"

Moni shudders and wraps her arms around herself, her legs wobble and she looks pale.

"Y-yeah..."

"Hey, are you afraid of the dark?" Maito asks looking down at the scared girl.

The wind howls and rustles the bushes around them.

"Kyaaaaa!" Moni screams and covers her ears.

"So you are afraid... You didn't have to push yourself this far." Maito smiles softly.

"You looked so ex-excited; I didn't want to sp-spoil it for you." Moni quivers like a fallen leaf in the wind.

"Are you sure you still want to go in?"

"It w-would be di-disappointing for the others if we d-didn't go."

Maito finds a new adirmation for the red headed girl; he pets her head.

"Well it's our turn." Maito says.

"O-okay."

"This is perfect. This is the time I will destroy you Brave Beats!" the voice laughs out into the darkness.

"Boo!"

"Kyaaaaaa!" Moni cries covering her ears for the sixth time since they had entered.

Maito can only watch as Moni has her bearings scared out of her.

"We're almost at the end." he informs her.

That's when the dim lights making the hall just barely visible cut out. Maito and Moni are left in the dark with no light.

"Waltzzzz!!"

"A Do Disk!" Moni thinks urgently.

"Moni I'm here!" Tippie whispers.

"Alright. Hurry and transform me!" Moni whispers back.

"Step on!"

"Feel your heart pound! Pulse Beat!"

"Huh? Pulse Beat is here?" Maito asks, still not being able to see.

Pulse taps the stars on her gloves and they light up exposing two ghouls doing the waltz and Maito.

"Get behind me!" Pulse orders Maito.

He obliges and hidee behind Pulse. She gets ready to defend him.

"Waltzzzzz!" the ghouls wail and crash into Pulse.

Pulse stands her ground and holds them back but she is loosing footing. She is sent flying back into a wall.

"Pulse Beat!" Maito exclaims.

"I'm alright." Pulse grunts getting up.

"Upstream Rainbow Wave!" a flash of pink flies through the hall seperating the ghouls.

"Wink Beat!" Maito shouts.

"Dino Fang!" Flash Beat enters the scene sending the ghouls outside, "What are you waiting for?" he teases.

Pulse rolls her eyes and runs after the ghouls. Wink and Flash trail her.

"Tapper Special!" the ghouls fly up into the air.

"High-speed Plasma Edge!" Flash calls out, purifying the in-costume students.

"Seeya wiltering waltz." Pulse says breaking the Do Disk.

"Guys I can't find Moni!" Maito runs out.

Pulse gulps, "W-well I'll leave finding her up to you!"

"Wai-" Flash calls but it was too late.

Pulse jumps into the school and turns into Moni again, she straightens her clothes and enters the hallways.

"G-guys...?" She calls out nervously.

"Moni!" Kotone exclaims.

Meanwhile a figure stands on the far side of the school yard with a satisfied smirk.
