The gang were all sitting in Leia's basement per usual. Becca had returned to the group hangs now that her only other friend turned out to be a douche. She could feel the strange tension between Jay and Leia and it made her annoyed and uncomfortable.

"Nate why would you want a used hot tub?" Nikki questioned as Nate tried to show her an ad for a hot tub. "It's gonna be contaminated with other people's juices." She reminded him.

Nate chuckled. "Yeah. Until we contaminate it with our juices."

"That's so romantic." Nikki said sarcastically.

"It's free, Nik. The only other free thing is a goat." Nate tried to persuade her. "I love you, but I am not sharing a goat. What happens if we break up? Who gets the goat?" Nate panicked.

"As someone whose parents split it, you don't wanna force the goat to choose." Gwen commented.

"Nate, go get your disgusting used hot tub tomorrow. We have an appointment to get out pictures done at Glamour Shots." Nikki reminded him.

"Awww Nate, you're gonna be glamorous!" Becca teased

Nate rolled his eyes at Becca before turning back to Nikki. "It's cool. We can rebook Glamour Shots for when my mustache comes in." Nate told her.

"Oh! So in, like, 1990-never." Gwen joked.

"Shut up, Gwen!" Nate shouted. "When I drink milk, you can almost see it." He defended before going back to the hot tub. "Nik, this hot tub is first come first serve. It can't wait. That's how I lost that giant dog crate." Nate ranted.

"You don't have a dog!" Nikki reminded him.

"But I might get a goat."

"I'm done!" Nikki said, throwing her arms in the air and sitting on the chair.

Nate scoffed and sat as well. "You never want to talk about our relationship." Nate whined.

Jay took this as a que to enter the conversation and lean closer to Leia. "Relationships, right?" He tried to joke. "Who needs 'em?" He asked.

"So you're okay with us just being friends?" Leia asked.

"Pfft. Oh yeah, it's great. I love it. It's so good." Jay lied. Becca could tell it was killing him; which in turn was killing her just as much. "It's so good and fun." Jay added before standing up and began to open the freezer over and over.

Becca couldn't bear to see him like this, over someone who wasn't her. Thankfully Nate wasn't letting go of his stupid hot tub. "Okay, Nik, I'm not sitting here anymore, listening to you not talk to me." Nate said, standing up.

"You're so unintelligent it's shocking." Asher laughed.

Nate rolled his eyes. "Asher, don't just make up words to make me feel stupid." He reprimanded. "Jay, wanna help me pick up this hot tub?" Nate asked.

"Sure." Jay agreed immediately. "What? Sure. What?" He repeated, almost like he was short circuiting.

"Bro!" Nate yelled.

"Yeah, I'm coming." Jay agreed, hurrying to the door.

Ethan had kept calling Becca's house so her dad called the Foreman's house, which greatly pissed off Red and so Asher left with her. "Dude you gotta tell this guy to lay off, he's got your dad calling Red!" Asher said as they walked up the two porch steps into their house.

Becca laughed. "There's no way he's called as less as any other guy." She shook her head.

"Clearly he has." Asher stated.

Becca put her car keys on the coffee table before her dad entered the living room. "This kid has called 20 times today! That's only counting when I started a tally." Her dad said, holding up a notepad with tally marks on them.

This caused Asher to start laughing. "This guy is obsessed, what did you give this guy Becca?" He asked.

Becca shrugged. "Some nice conversation and my good looks have him whipped!" She joked. "But why did you make us come home for this?" She asked.

"To answer the next time this kid calls." Her dad said. "I'm going to take a nap, I'm not your secretary kid!" He said before going to his room.

Becca and Asher both looked at each other before falling onto the couch. "Can you answer one?" Becca asked, looking over at her cousin.

Asher smiled. "Should I put on an accent?" He asked.

"Considering he's never met you, no!" Becca said.

Asher nodded as he walked over to the phone and cleared his throat after picking it up. "Hello, Mitchell residence." He stated with a smile. Asher was silent as he listened to whatever Ethan had to say. "Sorry no she's never mentioned you, maybe you've got the wrong girl? Have you ever considered going back and retracing your steps? Maybe you'll find her at the spot she left you at, you piece of trash!" Asher stated. "Have a nice day!" He added before hanging up the phone.

Becca gave Asher a look. "Was that supposed to be funny?" She questioned.

Asher shrugged. "Certainly made me laugh."

Yet again the phone rang and as Asher went to pick it up, Becca stopped him. "Let me answer him, maybe then he'll go away." She explained before picking up the phone. "Stop calling!" She yelled into the phone.

"Why?" Nate's voice sounded through the phone.

"Oh! Nate what's up?" Becca asked.

"The hot tub was a bust! But if I pay you $20 will you help me sneak a goat into my house?" Nate tried to sound persuasive, even raising his voice at the end of his question for some strange reason.

Becca thought for a moment. "Make it $35 and we have a deal." She told him.

"Fine, I'll come pick you up and we are getting this goat!" Nate said excitedly before hanging up.

Becca hung up the phone too before turning to her cousin. "If Ethan calls tell him I'll kick his ass if he calls again." She tells him, earning a nod from Asher.

"What is Nate paying you for this time?" Asher questioned.

"He's getting a goat." Becca said, earning an odd look from Asher. "It's Nate don't ask me questions." She shrugged.

Asher sighed. "It's a miracle that you two passed school." He mumbled, earning a shove from Becca. Asher just laughed as Becca left the house and waited for Nate to pick her up.

The day after Becca helped Nate get the free goat and sneak it into his room, he called her again to help him get into his car so he wouldn't have to leave it home alone; for an extra $10.

Becca did and when they got to The Hub Nate turned to her. "Okay, please come in with me. We haven't hung out with the gang for a while." He begged.

"Give me $5 extra and I will." Becca smiled, holding out her hand.

Nate sighed, reaching for some cash in his wallet. "You're like having a second sister." He complained, placing the bill into her hand.

"And you're truly an angel." Becca smiled, stuffing the dollar into her pocket. The two got out and met up with Nikki, Gwen, Leia, and Ozzie. Most of them got food but Becca wasn't extremely hungry.

As Gwen and Nikki came back to the table, Nate stood up. "Sit here, Nik. I'm gonna take this lettuce out to my goat." Nate told her.

Nikki glared up at her boyfriend. "You did not." She said.

"It was free, Nik!" Nate defended himself. Putting a hand on Nikki's shoulder he said, "You're a goat's mommy now." with a smile.

"Okay, that's cute." Nikki agreed before the two left.

"Alright, I'm gonna get a burger for myself." Becca announced to the three left, standing up to leave her seat. Just as she stood up and got to the counter, Jay entered.

Becca smiled at him and he smiled back. "Hey, can't believe you're hanging out finally." Jay joked.

Becca rolled her eyes. "I hangout." She then turned to the guy at the counter, away from Jay and ordered her food, giving him some cash.

"Barely! You stay for like two hours max. We've all missed you." He told her. "I've missed you." Jay added, almost mumbling.

Becca smiled. "Well it looks like I'll have to stay for at least three hours max." She joked. Making Jay laugh.

"Alright I'm gonna get some ketchup." Jay told her. "Don't leave." He ordered.

"Yes captain Kelso!" Becca saluted, making Jay laugh.

As Becca stood by the counter, Leia had approached Jay. Becca, trying her hardest not to, eavesdropped on their conversation. They exchanged "heys" before Leia got into the conversation. "Um, so you know how the other night I said I just wanted to be friends?" Leia questioned.

"Yeah. That was a surprise, and not the fun kind." Jay said.

"Well, then you're gonna like what I'm about to say." Leia promised. Becca felt her heartbeat increase at this. She knew what Leia was going to tell him.

That was until Leia got interrupted in her confession to Jay. "Sorry. It took me forever to park. Your friend is chasing a goat around the parking lot while some girl yells at him." A girl said to Jay, coming up to him and making him laugh. "At least we'll have a funny story for our first date." She added.

Becca was somehow way more hurt for Leia than herself. It must suck to try and put yourself out there for it to be ruined. Becca wouldn't know because she never tried with Jay herself.

"Oh, Serena, this is my friend Leia." Jay introduced the two.

"Howdy, friend!" Leia shouted. "I was, uh, just getting some ketchup from the big ol' pump." She told Serena before pumping ketchup into her hand.

"Okay...I'll see you later Leia." Jay said, leading Serena over to Becca, who wasn't being very discreet about her eavesdropping and was basically staring at them. "I'm so glad you didn't leave because I need like 5 extra bucks to get drinks." Jay said to her.

Becca smiled. "Totally, here." She agreed, reaching into her front pocket. "But I'm actually gonna go. Nate's my ride and I don't want him to leave without me." She lied, knowing Nate wouldn't do that anyway.

"Oh..." Jay said, his smile faltering. "Alright, well, that's fine. Serena and I are going on a date anyway." He said, making Serena smile and wave at Becca.

"Sounds awesome! Have fun!" Becca said through a fake smile before turning and walking right into someone else. "Sorry!" She shouted at them before actually leaving. It seemed like no matter what happened, she would never get to have a chance with Jay Kelso.
