Becca was actually excited to go on a date with Ethan. She asked Nikki to come over and help her get ready but of course Nikki brought Nate.

"Can you braid my hair?" Becca asked Nate. For some odd reason, for as long as Becca has known him, Nate can do two really good braids. He said it was because his mom always struggled so he learned for her.

Nate smiled and nodded, getting to work on Becca's hair. "Does Jay know you're going on this date?" Nikki questioned as she painted Becca's nails.

Becca shook her head. "No way. If I told Jay I was going on a date he'd make fun of me. I've never been on a real date." She explained.

Nate made a face that Becca couldn't see but Nikki saw. "Babe? Did you tell Jay?" Nikki asked.

Nate sighed. "Yes! He asked why I was coming over and I told him! He didn't seem like he was planning on making fun of you though cause he didn't say anything." Nate rambled.

"Why did he even know you were coming over?" Becca asked.

"He's my bro, I tell him everything." Nate stated. Becca and Nikki rolled their eyes as Nate finished braiding Becca's hair. "I'm surprised he didn't know. You two might be closer than me and him." Nate added.

Becca shrugged, looking at Nikki who gave her a sympathetic smile. "Okay, so who is this guy?" Nikki questioned.

"His name is Ethan, he's super hot, and we both like fucking with people." Becca explained.

"Sounds like a match made in heaven." Nikki joked.

Becca smiled. "Whatever, not like you knew everything about Nate before you went out." Becca countered.

Nate scoffed. "She did!" He corrected.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang and Becca looked at her two friends confused. Ethan wasn't due for another 45 minutes. They all went downstairs to answer and it revealed to be Jay.

"What're you doing here?" Becca asked.

Jay frowned. "All my friends are here! I thought we were gonna meet at Leia's?" He questioned.

"You can go meet at Leia's. Nate and Nikki will be there soon." Becca explained.

"And you're not?" He asked. Becca shook her head. "You never hangout anymore dude!" Jay whined.

Becca sighed. "Come in." She gave in. She didn't resent her choice when Jay walked into her house with the biggest smile.

"Thanks." He whispered to her.

Before Becca could respond, Nikki spoke very loudly. "Let's go back to Becca's room before her date gets here!" She then bolted back to Becca's room. She didn't run, Becca had never seen Nikki run but she got there pretty quickly with Nate right behind her.

"So you're going on a date?" Jay asked, not looking at Becca but clearly speaking to her.

Becca nodded. "Yeah. He's new to town. His name is Ethan." She stated.

Jay nodded in understanding. "Cool." He muttered. "You look really good." He added.

Becca blushed and smiled. Even while she was about to go out with another guy Jay Kelso could still make her blush and smile like an elementary school kid. "Thanks." She said.

When all four of them were in Becca's room she shut the door. Even though Asher was being quiet and was probably still asleep, she didn't want him being nosy. "Okay, he'll be here soon." Becca squealed.

"Do I need to introduce myself? Should I scare him a little? Jay, you gotta be my backup man." Nate panicked.

"Jesus, it's like you're the one going on a date." Becca joked.

Nikki paid zero attention to the strange outburst her boyfriend, it's a common occurrence, and grabbed Becca by the shoulders. "Are you nervous?" She asked. Becca shook her head. "If you need to get away from him remember, it's your car and you can easily ditch him and hang with us." Nikki reminded her.

Becca saluted Nikki with a serious face. "I'll be home by curfew mom." She joked.

Nikki rolled her eyes. "You always remind me why you're friends with these two." She said, gesturing to Nate and Jay.

"Hey, she loves us because we're great." Jay defended with a nod from Nate in agreement.

Nikki looked at Becca who shook her head but Jay and Nate didn't notice. Yet again, there was a knock at the door. "Are you kidding me? He's early." Becca groaned.

"Wouldn't you wanna get this date out of the way so we can hangout?" Jay questioned, but he only received odd looks from Nate and Nikki.

Becca shook her head. "No, I see you everyday! This is a date Jay." She reminded him. "If you guys need me we'll be at the arcade." Becca added, rushing down the stairs.

She opened the door with a smile and saw Ethan standing there. "Hey!" Becca greeted.

"Hey!" Ethan greeted back until his smile turned into a confused look. "Hello?" He added, looking behind Becca.

Becca whipped around seeing Jay behind her. "What are you doing down here?" She asked.

"We agreed someone should intimidate this guy." Jay explained. Becca rolled her eyes as Jay moved to stand beside her. "I'm Jay, her best friend." He introduced himself to Ethan, sticking out a hand.

Ethan shook it but Jay held on for a weird amount of time while staring Ethan directly in the eye. "Dude...you're crushing my hand." Ethan told him.

Jay let go, clearly fake smiling. "I've known Becca for years. I just want you to remember that." Jay added before turning to Becca. "Have fun! We'll all be at Leia's." He said before leaving and shoulder-checking Ethan.

"What's his problem?" Ethan asked.

Becca shrugged. "He got dropped on his head multiple time throughout his life." She stated, making Ethan laugh as she closed her door and stepped out onto her porch. "I'm serious."

Becca thought her date with Ethan was going really well. He won her a stuffed bear, lost to her in air hockey "out of respect", and they ate all the junk food in the arcade they could. At the end of the night, Becca drove Ethan home instead of making him walk from her house to his own.

"You need your own license!" Becca laughed as she was driving.

Ethan laughed along with her. "Turn right." He shook his head.

Becca did as she was directed. "I had a lot of fun tonight by the way." She added.

Ethan smiled. "Me too. You're so much fun Becca and probably the prettiest girl I've ever seen." He told her.

Becca blushed but soon became confused when she hit a dead end. "Did I miss a turn?" She asked.

Ethan shook his head. "Nope, I wanna show you something." He told her, opening the car door and quickly getting out.

Becca followed him and the two sat on a grassy patch. "Now I know you see stars every night but if you look up, I can point out the constellation Leo to you." He told her.

Ethan began to point and Becca's eyes followed his hand. "Wow. Stars are so pretty." She mumbled.

Suddenly she realized that Ethan was no longer staring at the sky but at her. She looked at him as well and he leaned in. Becca didn't exactly want to kiss him, but she allowed it to happen and kissed him back. Ethan then pulled away but instead of leaving it at that he began to try and make out with her. Becca shoved him away from her.

"You're going too fast." She warned him.

Ethan looked confused. "I thought you put out?" He asked her.

Becca was bewildered. She did confide in Ethan about her sexuality, she wasn't ashamed of it but now she was a little humiliated. "You asked me out so we could have sex?" She asked him.

"Not initially." He shrugged. "But I mean...it wouldn't hurt to let me have some action." He added.

Becca scoffed and stood up. "You're an asshole. Don't contact me again, you can walk your sorry ass home." She yelled at him before storming off. Ethan didn't chase after her so Becca left.

She wasn't going to cry, but she was admittedly upset. She didn't want to go home and tell Asher about the failed date, not because he would make fun of her but because she didn't want to seem weak in front of the one person whom she felt she was responsible to be strong for.

Becca drove to the only person she knew would truly comfort her.

"Becca?" Jay asked as her saw Becca at his window. He opened it and Becca climbed in. "What're you doing here?" He asked.

"The date was horrible." Becca admitted. "He just wanted sex." She added, before breaking down into tears. She didn't even know why she was crying, but it felt good to.

Jay quickly wrapped his arms around her and consoled her. "I'm sorry." He whispered to her. "Tomorrow we can spend the whole day together? Rent your favorite movie and eat ice cream." He suggested. Becca only nodded, as her head buried in his chest. "You're gonna be okay." He assured her. "You only need me, Nate, and Asher in your life anyway." He added.

Becca laughed as she unburied her head and stared at Jay. "You're the best." She told him.

Jay just smiled as they stared at each other. "You wanna stay over?" He asked.

Becca smiled and released herself from Jay's arms. "I get the bed! Blow up that air mattress sucker!" She shouted, flopping onto Jay's bed.

Jay groaned. "You always get the bed!" He complained.

Becca laughed. "Well, I'm not sharing. It's either air mattress or floor." She told him.

Jay rolled his eyes but then smiled as Becca began to play with the teddy bear on his bed. Becca was just glad that Jay had cheered her up just by being near her. Getting over him definitely wasn't in her near future.
