Becca heard from Gwen about Leia's attempted kiss with Jay and she had waited for Jay to tell her about it, but he didn't. Becca didn't want to think much about it, if it had meant anything to Jay he would've told her right away.

Becca hadn't gone to Leia's basement like everyone else did because she had work. She had taken up a job at a convenience store on the corner of her street. Usually past hookups would come into the store once they found out she was working there.

Today it was a guy she hooked up with so she could get a discount on ice cream at the ice cream shop in the next town. Apparently he wouldn't let her go.

He brought up a pack of candy and a drink to the counter and smiled as he handed it to Becca. "Will that be all?" She asked him.

"Why haven't you returned my calls?" He immediately asked.

Becca sighed, "Dude, you can't just show up to my work because I won't return your calls. If you want a girl this badly stick to one's in your own town." She lectured him as she scanned his items. "That'll be $4.50." She stated.

As he dug in his pockets for some cash he defended his case, "Let me take you out on a date and I can show you I'm a good guy!" He explained, switching pockets.

"Dude, what's the hold up?" A guy behind him questioned.

He huffed. "I'm asking her out!" He simply said.

He looked at Becca, "Do you wanna go out with him?" He asked as the other guy had finally found cash and put it on the counter. Becca shook her head and the guy sighed in defeat.

"Here's your change and your bag." Becca said after getting a few coins for the guy in front of her. "Have a good day." She stated as he left. The next guy came up and handed Becca his things. "You didn't have to say anything." Becca commented as she tallied up his total.

The guy shrugged, "Sometimes having the presence of another guy makes some guys become anxious." He explained.

Becca smiled. "$6.30." She told him as she put his items in a bag.

"I'm Ethan." He introduced himself. "I just moved into town." He added as he handed her money

Becca smiled as she handed Ethan back his change. "Nice to meet you Ethan." She said.

"What's your name?" He asked.

Becca shrugged. "My shift ends in about 15 minutes. If you wait I'll tell you my name." She said, handing him his bagged items. Ethan smiled and exited the store.

As 15 minutes passed by, Becca almost fell asleep out of boredom until her shift finally ended. She exited the store and when she rounded the corner of the store to get to the other side of the parking lot she saw Ethan leaning on the wall.

"It's Becca!" She yelled at him.

Ethan's head whipped towards her in confusion but then he smiled as he began walking towards her. "Nice to meet you Becca. Do you drive?" He asked.

Becca nodded. "That's my car." She pointed to it. "Do you wanna go somewhere?" She asked.

Ethan shrugged. "Where?" He questioned.

"I'll show you all the best spots in town, which is very few." She suggested.

Ethan smiled and nodded. The two got into her car and spent the rest of the day together. Becca had completely forgot about the entire Jay and Leia situation.

The next day Becca had gone to Leia's house. She was sitting in her car with Asher because he said he had something private to tell her.

"Can you hurry up and tell me? Jay's oiling himself up and this could only mean something hilarious is gonna happen." Becca hurried him.

Asher sighed. "Okay...let's just say yesterday I got some shocking news from a shared friend of ours." He explained.

Becca tilted her head in confusion. "If it was Nate, I already know he broke into our house and he didn't even break in I gave him a key." She stated.

Asher shook his head. "No, but that's really weird, you guys are a bit too close." He commented. "It's about Jay." Asher began, "Jay likes this girl and when I say like I'm not using it in a normal Jay-type-of-like I mean like a normal person. I wanted to tell you because she's the reason Jay is oiling himself up." Asher expounded.

Becca was silent for a few seconds. "Okay." She said.

Asher looked confused. "Okay?" He questioned.

"I can't stop Jay from liking a girl." Becca scoffed. "I'm fine." She lied, plastering a smile on her face.

Asher gave her a look but let the topic go and the two got out the car. "Dude you missed Jay laying his game down!" Nate told Becca when she and Asher returned.

"He didn't do anything." Nikki corrected her boyfriend.

Becca laughed. "Hey, I'm gonna go hangout with my friend but I'll catch you guys later, okay?" She questioned.

As Becca was going inside to ask Red to use his phone so she could call Ethan, Jay stopped her. "Friend? All your friends are here." He inquired.

Becca smiled. "New friend named Ethan. He just moved in." Becca explained briefly, continuing to try and go inside.

"He?" Jay asked. "How many more guy friends do you need?" He questioned.

Becca was confused. "That's a weird question." She laughed, sliding the door open with Jay trailing behind her. Red Foreman was sitting at his kitchen table, reading the newspaper.

"Good lord what?" Red questioned the two teens.

"Can I use your phone?" Becca asked.

Red made a noise that Becca took as a yes. She was honestly just scared to ask for more clarification. "How'd you meet this guy?" Jay asked.

"At work." She stated.

"How old is he?"

"Same age as us."

"How tall is he?"

Becca shushed Jay as the phone began to ring and Ethan picked up the phone. "Hello?" His voice rang through her ear.

"Hey Ethan! It's Becca." She started off with.

She could hear Ethan's smile through his voice. "Hey what's up?" He asked.

"Wanna hang? I'm super bored right now." Becca said.

"Sure!"

Becca smiled. "I'll pick you up in like 15 minutes!" She then hung up the phone.

Jay was just staring at her in shock. "You're bored?" He questioned. "You just got here!" He reminded her.

Becca shrugged. "You'll live without me. Go hunt down Leia or something." She told him with a hint of snark in her voice.

Jay frowned. "Becca I want to hang out with you! It's been like two days and I'm having withdrawals." He declared, starting to rush his words a little.

"I'll see you tomorrow!" Becca assured him, putting a hand on his shoulder until it just slipped off. "Gross." She said wiping it on her shorts.

Jay sighed as Becca left the house to go get her new friend. He was very upset that she didn't want to hangout with him and was ditching him for a guy she just met.

"Why the hell are you covered in oil in my kitchen?" Red asked. "Get out!" He ordered Jay, who quickly complied.

Becca had heard from Nikki about the group going to a rave so naturally she tagged along. They all rode together but Becca didn't speak to anyone except Nikki. Asher decided he hated raves last minute, leaving Becca to arrive alone and awkwardly.

"Those girls are half naked." Nate observed as they got out the van, staring at a group of girls. Nikki threw him a glare and he instantly looked back at her. "And it's terrible." Nate declared.

Nikki ignored her boyfriend and turned to Jay. "Why do you smell like cat pee?" She asked him.

"To close the deal with Leia, I put on a bunch of these pheromones I bought from the back of my bodybuilding magazine." Jay explained, showing the three a bottle of his cat pee pheromones.

"Tiger Sweat." Nate read, chuckling a bit. "That's badass." He concluded.

"Ladies find the scent irresistible." Jay stated.

Becca snorted. "Who told you that? Your dad?" She questioned.

"Yes, actually."

Even though they had forgotten Ozzie, they still went in anyway. Becca found some guys to dance with and watched as Jay danced with other girls and even though he was probably trying to make Leia jealous she was crazy jealous.

Instead of being her usual immature self, Becca decided to not make-out with a random guy. She went up to Nate and Nikki, tapping Nate on the shoulder. "Can you take me home?" Becca questioned.

Nate frowned. "What? I'm having so much fun." He whined. Nikki shoved him in the shoulder and Nate gave her a look but she only stared at him. "Fine." He mumbled.

Suddenly, Gwen came rushing up to them. "Code Red!" She shouted at them.

"Red's here?" Becca questioned.

"Yep." Someone said from behind them. The group turned around and saw Red with Leia standing behind him with her head low.

"Red! I didn't know you liked raves!" Nate smiled.

Nate took everyone except Leia back home and when Becca got back home she saw a familiar face walking up to her porch.

"Ethan?" She called, making him turn around. "Why're you here so late?" She asked.

Ethan smiled as she came closer. "I just wanted to talk." He shrugged. "I got bored." He added.

Becca smiled. "Glad I'm who you think of when you're bored." She said.

Ethan laughed, making Becca laugh a little also. They sat on the bench that Becca's dad had installed years ago, meaning it had a creaking noise when people sat on it. "I also wanted to ask you out on a date." Ethan finalized, looking Becca straight in her eyes.

Becca froze for a moment. She was still intensely interested in Jay but she couldn't lie she was attracted to Ethan. Plus, Jay liked Leia and the even though it was wrong Becca desperately needed to find a way to move on. There was no point in waiting forever on a boy who had clearly shown no interest in her.

Becca took a deep breath and smiled. "I'd love to go on a date with you."
