Ok so ya you know my brothers and of what happened to my parents and what happened with Ponyboy running off but what you didn't know is Johnny and Dally are not dead. Why the hell does everyone think that?! Anyways yes everyone thinks ' oh yes it's great being a Curtis sister or Ponyboys younger sister' yaaaa... No. They are so over protective especially since I'm a girl. It's not fair. It's been a while since the whole Pony and Johnny fire thing but Ponyboy is now 16 and I just turned 15. Two bit brang me a cake that was half eaten already and my brothers made me a photo album bought me a book and some records. Dally gave me a cigarette but Darry took it from me of course Steve and Soda and Two bit got me a necklace and Johnny made me a card.
Anyways the name is Chrissy short for Christina. It's one of the most normal names in the family next to Darry. So back to the story. Its the last week of school for Ponyboy and I. But it was the weekend so nothing really mattered. I put on my regular loose jeans and had them rolled up a little below my knee and a regular flannel shirt that was tucked in. I walked outside my room to see Ponyboy making breakfast Sodapop going to work with Darry and Steve Two bit on the couch and Dally and Johnny not here yet. I started walking towards the kitchen as Soda and Steve ran past me trying to get ready to leave quick. "Chris your hair needs to be out of your face" Darry told me. My hair was longer then most girls. Almost all girls had short hair and had it curled. I didn't like that though I like my hair long and down but I at least put it half up half down. Darry wants me to act like a proper young lady but I'm not ready for that too many desired adventures I want to go on. I'm a dreamer, which also means I have the attention span of a goldfish. I'm also a greaser well partially because Darry doesn't want me to get caught up in that stuff but I refuse to be a soc. That's personal just not me so I dress more middle class. Anyways I see Ponyboy making him self a bacon sandwich and right when he finishes and turns around I take it. "Chrissy give it back" he said annoyed as I grin. I walk over to the couch and sit down eating my sandwich. Just then Ponyboy comes and tries to snatch it out of my hand and at this point my brothers are already gone so they can't do anything about it. I keep pushing him and almost kicking him. Two bit ignored us of course watching whatever was on TV. "Just go make a new one" I say almost laughing.
"That's the last of the bacon"
"That's not my fault you left it unattend"
"I turned around for not even 2 seconds he said annoyed.
"Fine u want it?!" I then licked the half eaten sandwich and offered it to him.
"You are so frickin disgusting" he said but then snatches it from me. He walks away and know I'm just here with Two bit.
"Hey Two can I change the channel?"
"No Mickey's on kid" he said taking a swig from his beer.
"Is it almost done?" He shook his head no. I stood up and grabbed my black jeans jacket.
"Pony I'm leaving"
"Where? You can't leave Darry would kill me"
"Well I'm not going to stay here bored"
"Do homework or something I don't know"
"I don't do homework on the weekends sides it's a nice day"
"Who you meeting up with?" He asked looking at me funny.
"Relax no one I dont have friends"
"Where are you going then?"
Into town I can go see a movie"
"Can't you just be a good child for once and listen" he whined
"Pony I'll be fine and I'll be back before anyone gets home"
"Fine but if something happens you snuck out!" I rolled my eyes and took 40 cents with me. I walked there all by my lonesome not minding it. I then see some girls walk past me and whispering to each other and I'm sure it was about me and how I look. I past by a few other greasers then see curly start walking up to me.
"Hey Chris where's Ponyboy?" Even though Tim Curlys older brother didn't like him and Pony hanging out they didn't care and would hang out once in a while.
"Ya he's at home we were supposed to stay home so if you see any of my brothers don't tell them you saw me" he nodded as we both said our see yas and went on our ways. I finally got to the movies and as I was ordering my popcorn a boy I knew came up to me and started talking to me. At school since I didn't have anyone to really talk to I was pretty mellow so I was surprised that the boy new me.
"Hi Chrissy"
"Oh hey West how's it goin?"
"Good thanks so uh I was wondering if you would want to go to Kassie Riders party with me tomorrow night." Wholly cow! Super cute Westly Bakerman wanted to take me to a popular party. At this point I didn't know what to say.
"Umm ya sure that would be fun" I softly smiled even though I was dieing inside. He then smiled and decided to sit and watch the movie with me. He's actually really nice and I was excited.i then started thinking about tomorrow night and realized that I've never actually been to a party or have a bathing suit and oh the most important one I don't know what my brothers are going to say.
