Dash POV

When I was 15 years old my mom and dad died in an auto wreck. My oldest brother Darry was 20, my second oldest brother Sodapop was 17 and my younger brother Ponyboy was 14. My parents didn't only mean a lot to me and my brothers but to the whole gang too. Mom was the only one who could keep Dallas out of trouble, Keep Sodapop Two bit and me laughing, and understand me and Pony the best. Dad was the only one that could really help Darry with sports, all of with school, help Steve and Soda learn more about cars, and teach Two bit how to tell jokes and to keep trying in school. They were the best parents anyone could ask for. A week after they died, a social worker came to pick me up and put me in a girls home for 5 months then I moved to 8 different foster homes by the time I was 16 then put me in a group home for another year then I moved to another foster home for a year. I didn't like it there. I never minded being anywhere. I was always happy and kind till I moved to my last group home that I stayed in for a  year. They always beat me and starved me. They where mean no matter what I did. If I dropped a cup by accident then they would pour hot sauce in my mouth. They would beat me no matter what I did. Every night I always thought to my self ' What did I do wrong, Why did I deserve this,Why don't my brothers want me anymore?' Ever a year of staying here I knew my brothers were never coming back for me. My foster parents always told me about how the social workers would tell them how much my brothers hated me. After that I was just cold hearted like Dally. One day I was cleaning the bathroom and my foster parents got a call and they told me that my brothers now want me. The next day the social worker drove me to a house. I liked it. The social worker just dropped me off and left. I knocked on the door and saw Darry now 20 years old. I gave him a huge hug. Then I saw Sodapop and Ponyboy and the rest of the gang. From then on I've been living here for about a year and I've toughin up a bit.
