chapter seven: reunion
Elisa laughed as Peter stared at the box for the fifth time.
"I could have sworn it said four- fifty," he sighed and Elisa chuckled.
"It's fine Peter," she spoke warmly, "you're not perfect, and it's one happy accident."
Peter smiled as they salvaged what they could with the cake and cleaned everything up. They were doing the dishes and smacking each other with the hand towels when Aunt May walked in.
"Hey kiddos, wow that's a strong smell," she said and Elisa smiled.
"Hi Miss Parker, we tried making a cake," Elisa spoke up from the kitchen as she finished the last dish, dodging Peters thrips from the towel.
"Elisa, is that you?" Aunt May asked, walking in on the immaculate kitchen.
She held a hand to her chest as Elisa made Peter finish drying.
"I haven't seen it this clean since I moved in," she said and looked to Elisa.
"I felt bad for using all your stuff and then was unable to get it right," she frowned.
"Yeah she went into hyper cleaning mode," Peter said as he put the last cup away.
"Honey, this is so sweet!" Aunt May spoke in awe.
"It's no problem, I enjoy organizing," she said and Aunt May nodded.
"Well I'm so glad you're here, I'm happy that Peter now has more than one friend," Aunt May winked at Peter.
"May," he groaned and Elisa raised an eyebrow.
"I'm shocked, you're awesome, Peter, you should be the most popular guy at your school," Elisa assessed as she crossed her arms.
"That title is held to Eugene Thompson," Aunt May rolled her eyes.
"Sounds like an ego," Elisa Said and looked to Peter.
"You know he calls him Penis Parker?" Aunt May said and Elisa widened her eyes
.
"You let people bully you, Parker?" She asked and Peter sighed.
"It's a long story," Peter went on and Elisa rolled her eyes.
"I'm not standing for this," she said and went on her phone.
But as she went onto Twitter she was already trending. And on the number one tweet was a photo of her and Peter in the Park.
"Oh," she said and tilted her head.
"Peter you're practically famous now, you're trending on Twitter with me," she said and showed Peter the photo.
Aunt May smiled.
"That's great!" She chirped and Peter took the phone and stared at the photo.
"Well uh, at least I won't be called Penis Parker," he said and Elisa nodded.
Elisa felt a buzz in her pocket and she pulled out her phone.
Dad
Bring home milk.
Elisa
Okay
Elisa looked at the time and widened her eyes.
She had to go home.
"I uh, have to go," she frowned.
"Has really been that long?" Peter asked and Elisa nodded.
"This was fun," she smiled and Peter smiled back.
"Yeah," He agreed.
"I'm going to go change," Aunt May said and left, leaving the two to be alone.
Elisa looked up at Peter and smiled.
"Alright, you wanna hang out at the base sometime?" She asked and Peter nodded.
"Alright, Test me when you're free sometime, it was fun getting to know you," she smiled and gave him a brief hug before leaving.
Peter stood there awestruck as she left.
Elisa left the building but was bombarded by paparazzi. She kept her head down as she made her way to the bodega, pushing her glasses up.
"Elisa! What's it like to be a child of an Avenger?" One asked.
"Elisa! Do you think you and your friend will be together?" Another added on.
"I just want to get some milk," Elisa said as she walked off in the direction of a store.
Elisa sighed as they followed her around. She sighed and turned around.
"I'm sorry but isn't there some wedding you can cover?" She asked and she they continued with the questions.
"If I answer them will you go away?" She asked and they nodded.
She sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Alright, how about five questions since there are only five of you?" She asked and they nodded.
"Alright, start with you, end with you," she referred and they got the cameras ready.
"What's it like being the child of an Avenger?" The first one asked.
"Stressful, every mission can be your last," she said and the guy walked off.
"What's going to happen between you and your friend?" He asked and Elisa smiled.
"We've just met, we're friends," she said.
"Wait, how does your friend know Tony Stark?" The third guy asked.
"He has a Stark internship," she responded and he walked off, going through the negatives.
"What happened to your mother?" The fourth asked and Elisa frowned.
"She passed away," Elisa admitted and they held a moment of silence and the guy walked off.
"Did you know Tony was your father or was it also a surprise?" He asked and Elisa chuckled.
"I had a suspicion because of my name but it was a bit of a shock," she smiled.
"Thank you," he asked and left.
Elisa rolled her eyes as she walked away. She got the milk and at that point, Happy picked her up as she didn't want another run in.
"Sorry about that, kid," Happy said and Elisa shrugged.
"Not much you can do at this point," Elisa replied and Happy nodded.
"Well how was your day with Peter?" Happy asked.
"It was great! We went to his place because of the paparazzi literally stalking us from the trees and we almost succeeded in baking a cake," she smiled and Happy raised an eyebrow.
"Almost succeeded?" He questioned.
"Peter turned it into dust," Elisa giggled, thinking of the boy.
"Well sounds eventful," Happy said and Elisa nodded.
"It was great!" She said and Happy smiled.
"Is the Happy Hogan smiling?" She asked in awe and he rolled his eyes.
"Hush it, kid," he joked and Elisa smiled wider.
"I'm so telling Tony," she smirked as he stopped the car.
Elisa practically flew out of the car, the bag with the milk swinging wildly behind her.
"TONY YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS!" Elisa yelled as she ran into the base, Tony was standing next to Natasha, she miles at the sight of Elisa.
"What's up?" Tony asked.
"I made Happy smile! I've finally done it!" Elisa chirped, handing him the milk. Tony laughed as Happy trailed in, Happy sighed and walked off to finish his assignments for the day.
Elisa directed her attention to the woman who was like an older sister and gave her a bear hug, holding her tight.
"I haven't seen you in forever!" She said and Nat chuckled.
"I couldn't miss my favorite girls admission to The Avengers," Nat smiled and Elisa's smile grew.
"Is Clint coming?" Elisa asked.
"Ask him yourself," The familiar voice rang out and Elisa gasped as she turned around, Clint stood there in a dad outfit, a grin plastered on his face.
"Bird Dad!" Elisa yelled and ran over to him, tackling him in a hug.
"Ghost Child!" He yelled backs and Elisa laughed.
"I miss you guys so much oh my god," Elisa said as she pulled away.
"I swear, if Thor pops around that corner, I'm going to have a melt down," Elisa said and speak of the devil, he came over, chuckling as he pulled her into a tight hug, lifting her in the air and set her back down.
Elisa held a hand over her heart.
"My super family, we need Bruce and Steve," she said and looked around.
"They'll be here tonight," Tony said and Elisa turned around.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah, go on and do your Picasso thing, we'll make dinner and call you out to get ready when it comes close to time," Tony said and Elisa nodded.
Elisa walked into her art room and pulled out her new canvas and paints, tracing her image of Peter and shutting her eyes, a smiled forming on her face.
Elisa couldn't remember happiness like this in a long time.
And she wanted to savor it for along time.
