chapter eleven : issues
Elisa dreamt that she was back in the laboratory,
The charge nurse threw her back into her "room". If you could call it that, it was a mattress in the corner with a camera on the other side overlooking it. Elisa crawled back to the bed and sat perfectly still.
If she moved out of its view, they would come in and beat her. Elisa sat there, her knees to her chest as her stomach growled. She frowned as she looked over at the tray being slid through the slot under the door.
She crawled over and snatched the food, running back to the mattress and scarfed it down. But as she finished her food, there was a slam on the door, she knew what was going to happen.
The nurse came back with a stick, this one was big.
"You know the rules," he growled and Elisa broke out in tears, screaming as he walked towards her.
"Elisa!" Tony yelled, shaking her shoulders.
Elisa shot up in a cold sweat and processed that it was Tony in front of her. She pulled him into a tight hug.
"Jesus, you're shaking," Tony pointed out as he hugged her back, "was it one of those dreams again?"
"I'm sorry, did I break anything this time?" She asked and finally looked around.
The desk was a mess with papers everywhere with sketches of suits strewn. The chair was on its side against the wall. She sighed and looked to Tony.
"I'm sorry," she frowned and he shook his head and pulled away from the hug.
"You're completely okay, do you need your sessions with Sam again?" He asked and Elisa shook her head.
"I don't think so, I think it was just one of those nights, you get them, don't you?" She asked.
"Yeah, but if it gets worse, talk to me, okay, kid?" Tony asked and Elisa nodded.
"I will I promise," Elisa said as she used her telekinesis to clean up the room.
Tony walked over to the door was about to leave.
"Wait, Tony!" Elisa said and he turned around.
"I love you, like, as a Dad," she said and he smiled.
"I love you too, as a daughter," Tony replied, shutting off the light and closing the door.
Elisa laid back down, going on her phone and going through the notifications and texting Peter.
Elisa
So you ARE going to College?
Peter
Elisa, it's 2 am
Elisa
Yeah I couldn't sleep, bad dream woke me up
Peter
You ok?
Elisa
Yeah, my dad got me through it
Peter
You gonna be okay?
Elisa
I promise
Peter
Good! Wanna fight some crime with me?
Elisa
As you said, it's 2 am! And you still haven't answered my question.
Peter
Mr. Stark doesn't know I want to be an Avenger, well, he does, just not like, not-enroll-in-college-and-make-it-full-time, Avenger.
Elisa
Oh lord, look, promise me you'll go to college and I'll try my best to help you become an Avenger.
Peter
Alright, I promise.
Elisa
Good, now sleep and be ready for training or I'll kick your butt!
Peter
Last I recall YOU woke ME up
Elisa
Hush your mouth and goodnight
Peter
Lol good night
Elisa smiled as she shut her eyes, going back to sleep with her heart at a normal pace, slowly going back to sleep but with a better dream.

Elisa awoke to a knock on her door and she sat up, opening it with her mind.
"Yes?" She asked and Steve walked in.
"You okay? I heard you screaming last night," Steve said and Elisa smiled.
"I'm okay now," she said and got up, walking over and hugging the old soldier.
Steve chuckled and hugged back.
"What are you doing today?" Steve asked and Elisa smiled.
"Training with Peter," she answered.
"Fury initiative?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, I found out Peter is reliant on his powers to fight," Elisa frowned.
She walked out to see breakfast already made, she made herself a plate and sat down with everyone else. Elisa finished her food and looked around to see some others finished with their food.
"Alright," she said and stood up, picking up the empty plates and walked over to the sink of the kitchen area.
She washed and put the plates away, walking to her room where she changed into a tee shirt and workout shorts. Elisa walked down to the training room where she saw Peter stretching.
"Oh good!" Peter smiled as he sat on the floor, "could you push me down?"
Elisa smiled back and walked over, spreading her hands and put them at the center of his back, pushing down slightly.
"Alright," Peter said and they waited a couple seconds.
"Go a bit further," Peter spoke and Elisa raised her eyebrow.
"Are you sure?" She asked, unsure of what he was trying to achieve.
"Yeah, yeah," he spoke and looked up at her, "come on."
Elisa nodded and pushed down a bit more, seeing the pain distorted on his face. She pulled away with a frown.
"You don't have to try out for the cheerleading squad, Peter," Elisa spoke and he stood up.
"It's fine," he said and smiled.
"Your turn to stretch," he said and Elisa smiled and gave him a playful eye roll.
"Okay, coach," she smirked and went down to a split, leaning forward and grabbing her foot.
Peter widened his eyes, his face going slack.
Elisa stood back up, stretching a bit more before she pulled Peter to the shelf and put his wraps on. She looked up at him when she finished and smiled.
"Alright, new moves!" She said and Peter nodded.
Elisa walked over to the punching bag, demonstrating the combination and made sure he knew what he was doing. Elisa stood behind the bag and held it in place, feeling the hit of his punches jolt through her hands and arms. She nodded slowly as they became better and faster.
"Alright good, yes," she said and stepped around to see a sheen of sweat on Peters forehead.
Dear god, he's hot, she thought and looked away.
"I'm gonna show you how to dodge hits," Elisa spoke and he nodded.
Elisa walked over to the double end bag, showing him how to use it and dodge.
"With your heightened senses, this should come easy to you," she smiled and Peter looked to the ball and punched it. It curved and she side stepped and watched as it hit him.
"Oh," he spoke flatly and Elisa chuckled.
"Yeah it's not my favorite," she agreed and gave him a few tricks to get the most out of it.
After seeing that he had the hang of it, Elisa walked over to the punching bag and got her training in, sharpening some of her worse-for-wear moves.
"I think I got the hang of this," Peter said and Elisa looked over at him, they made eye contact and Elisa smirked as he got hit by the bag.
"I think you need to focus, Parker."
