Adams pov

"Alright kiddo this is the place" I parked the car outside our house. Little vaggie's finally been let out of hospital so we're bringing the kiddo home. She's been quite the whole journey, just hugging the teddy bear I bought her when we first met. Hopefully she'll open up more when we take her inside.

"And here we are" I threw the door open dramatically "pretty cool right"

She nodded before reluctantly stepping inside, wobbling a little bit.

"Slow down sweetie" lute gently led the child "you're still getting used to only having one eye"

She let out a hiccuping sob. It kinda broke my heart.

"Hey kiddo I've got something for you" I pulled an eye patch with a pink x on it from my pocket. I undid her bandages and tied it around her missing eye "there you go sweetie" I held up a mirror to show her "you look like a cool pirate now. All the other kids are going to be super jealous"

She teared up again. I worried that I upset her when she tackle hugged me. Lute bent down and petted her messy hair, giving me a thankful nod.

"Okay sweetie" I scooped the little girl up "let's get some food in you and have a family movie night"

"Family?" She looked up in surprise. I froze.

"Sorry sweetie. It was too soon to say something like that" I looked away guiltily.

"Me and Adam just want you to feel comfortable here vaggie" lute gently explained "but we're not trying to replace your parents"

"It's okay. I wouldn't mind having nice people like you as my mommy and daddy" she murmured against my chest.

"Oh sweetheart" lute hugged the girl with tears in her eyes "that is the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me"

"We're going to be the best parents we can to you kiddo" I held both girls close "I promise"
