Lutes pov

I hummed to myself as I flipped the pancakes in the air, catching it in the pan. I heard clapping behind us. I turned around to see both Adam and vaggie applauding me.

"Thank you thank you" I bowed to them "now we've got a delicious stack of pancakes specially made for a beautiful little girl and handsome man" I placed the pancake down in front of them. The two of them drooled at the sight. I ruffled vaggie's hair and kissed Adams cheek before sitting down with my pancakes.

"So you ready for a long day of running after low lives and doing paperwork?" Adam poured some coffee into his mug with the words dick master written on it. Should probably get him a new mug.

"Unfortunately yes. Let's just hope today's a little more eventful" I sighed before turning back to vaggie with a smile "you ready to start your first day of school honey?"

"Mmm I don't want to go" she played with her hands nervously.

"Sweetie I know it's a little scary but you're going to be ok" I smiled reassuringly.

"Yeah a tough kid like you can handle anything" Adam ruffled her hair "now go get your school bag"

"Okay" she jumped down and grabbed her bag before following us to the car.

*Time skip*

"Good luck vaggie"

"Knocked them dead kiddo"

We waved to her as she walked into school. A teacher gently led her away. I hope she'll be ok.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah" I nodded as we drove to work..
