Lute's pov

"We're back lute!"

I jumped to attention to the sound of my husband's voice. I looked over to see vaggie skipping up happily with Adam trialing before with an armful of toys, wallpaper and more.

"We bought stuff for my room" she pointed at Adam with a cute smile.

"I can see that" I chuckled softly before looking up at him with a teasing smile "she's already bossing you around I see"

"Yeah well that's what happens when you have daughters" he dropped everything on the sofa "there's more in the car. I'll be right back"

"Okay hun" I smiled softly before turning back to vaggie "you wanna help me do up your room?"

"Yeah!" she smiled excitedly as she followed me to the bedroom.

*Time skip*

"Mama why are we putting this sticky stuff on the wall?" She asked.

"It's to keep the wallpaper on the wall honey" I gently explained.

"Oh then I'll put lots on the wall so it stays up for a really long time" she said, rolling the paste on like her life depended on it.

"That's a good idea" I smiled at the girls enfusiasum. What a good kid.

"Delivery!" Adam came in with a purple iris flower mat, a tea set, a plastic table and-

"Toy swords, really?" I gave him a sceptical look.

"What, the kid wanted them" he shrugged.

"Yeah I'm training to be a samurai" she said determinedly.

"A samurai. That's pretty badass" he picked up a toy sword and pointed it at her "it seems we meet again samurai vaggie. You may have won last time but today victory is mine" he said in a terrible Japanese accent.

"That's what you think demon lord" she picked up her sword and the two of them had a sword fight. I watched with a smile on my face. They're so cute!

After a while Adam disarmed her, pointing his sword at her neck "what a shame great samurai warrior but it seems you lose. With you out of the way I'll take over this world easily" he let out a evil laugh.

I snuck up behind him and pretended to stab him "oh no. Betrayed by my wife. What a cruel way to go out" he collapsed dramatically. I laughed at the silliness but vaggie-

"No daddy don't die" she burst into tears.

Adam immediately got up, pulling her into his arms "easy baby girl I'm alright. We're just playing"

She cried against his chest while we held her close. With all that happened we forgot just what that poor girl had gone through.
