Adams pov

"Thank you for agreeing to babysit on such short notice" sera said gratefully as she handed off Emily "I promise I won't make a habit of it"

"It's fine. You know how much I love the little munchkin" I rubbed noses with the giggling girl.

"Normally I wouldn't trust you with her but with lute around I feel a little more confident"

"Hurtful" I muttered.

"Oh don't take it to heart" lute poked my cheek "don't worry ma'am. Emily's in perfectly good hands" she ruffled the girl's hair.

"Thank you dear" she nodded politely before leaving.

"Alright kiddo" I threw her up in the air, making her giggle "what does Emily want to do first with her uncle Adam and auntie lute"

"Movie night!" She threw her arms in the air.

"Sounds perfect" I grinned "we'll find the perfect movie and eat sweets until we throw up"

"After a healthy dinner" lute chimed in.

"Oh good call babe" I winked at her "you've always been the responsible one"

"Hence why sera trusts me more than you" she said teasingly.

"Well hey someone has to be the fun uncle" I carried her to the sofa "now what movie are you thinking of?"

"Paw patrol!" She cheered.

"Aw the dog show!" I let out a disappointed sigh. I was hoping for a fun kids movie like Shrek.

"Please uncle Adam" she gave me the biggest puppy dog eyes.

"Fiiine" I sighed in defeat. Damn that kid and her magic eyes!

As the credits rolled Emily lay fast asleep in my arms. My heart melted a little at the sight.

"You're good with kids" she laid her head on my shoulder.

"I guess I am" I squeezed her hand with a smile. I've never given it much thought before but I think I'd like to have kids. Especially if it's with her..
