A/N: so I'm home sick once again and I decided to update. So enjoy <3
"Wha-What are you doing here?"
Rey narrowed her eyes at him. He seemed different somehow, a knight's helmet no longer covering his face.
"I've come to see you."
In that moment she almost wanted to laugh. It was quite a ridiculous sight to see the infamous Kylo Ren waiting by her window in the dead of night.
"I've never expected you to pull a Romeo, Ren."
She smirked dangling her arm loosely out the window.
"So you're a fan of Shakespeare?"
"A lot of things are abandoned in Jakku, including old books," Rey shrugged. "Anyways, I'm getting off topic...what the hell are you doing here?"
"I thought I answered you...I've come to see you."
This time she burst into laughter, leaning against the window frame.
"What's so funny?"
"You, you're funny. Never did I expect the cold hearted infamous Kylo Ren to show up at my window at who knows what time."
"It's a first, I guess."
"I guess..."
The two went silent and Rey let out a close lipped smile. It was some sort of a silent bliss and the cool air outside caused Rey's loose hair to blow along to the wind.
"You're an idiot you know that..."
Her voice was barely a whisper and Ren rested his forehead against hers.
"I know."

"Finn, we are going to need to ask you a few questions..."
In response he simply nodded, tapping his feet nervously on the ground.
"When did you realize you didn't want to be a part of the First Order anymore?"
Finn looked down at his feet before deciding to answer.
"It was my first battle...I saw the way these Knights were, they were violent...and aggressive...and ruthless and I couldn't...I couldn't be like them. They slashed at people, impaled them, tortured them...so when I was given my first mission, my first command to kill...I couldn't do it...I couldn't."
"What happened after that?"
"I made excuses not to go on missions, I would hide or pretend I'm not well. If I was forced to go I'd stay near the side and not use my sword...then Poe was taken prisoner and I knew I had to do something...so I helped him escape."
"Thank you."
A silence settled between the three and Poe placed a comforting hand on Finn's shoulder. In response he didn't flinch like he usually did at such contact, mostly because what he needed at that moment was comfort.
"Finn."
Leia's voice broke the momentary silence.
"Yeah?"
"Come here."
He nodded, getting up from the chair in which he sat. Slowly he made his way towards Queen Organa.
"I'm sorry."
Finn didn't say anything, his eyes sad. Instead he let the queen bring him into a tight embrace.
People say comfort brings people close together.
And they were right.

"Father!"
"Ah, Bazine. Back so soon my dear?"
"He's missing!"
"What?"
She nodded at him, crossing her arms tightly across her chest.
"He wouldn't let me do anything with him and then when I went to get something, I came back and he was gone! He left father! H-he can't do that!"
"My petal, my precious child, are you sure he left?"
Bazine stomped hard onto the ground.
"Yes! At first I believed he was nervous or something...and that he ran off to another room in the castle to calm down... but I asked everyone and no one has seen him! Oh father!"
She threw herself onto Snoke's lap, empty sobs taking over her body.
"I can't believe it!"
"Don't worry, my petal, we will get him back. I doubt he's far from here."
"He better not be."
"You're right because if he ran away from The First Order like a coward I'll put a price on his head so damn high that he won't be able to show his face again!"
Snoke slammed his fist down on the arm of his throne.
"King Snoke."
"Come in Phasma."
A tall, blonde knight walked into the throne room. The expression on her face was almost smug and she held a heap of garments in her arms.
"I heard Ren went missing."
"He did."
"Then I have something that may help you."
Phasma smirked before letting the pile of clothing drop onto the ground.
"These are his."
"What difference does that make?
Maybe he got hot?" Bazine cut in, her eyes narrowed.
"I found this in a old tunnel in the dungeon, and that's not the end of it..."
Phasma reached towards Snoke, handing him a dark gray helmet.
"His mask sir, he never goes anywhere without it."
"Thank you for the information Phasma, you are dismissed."
The knight simply nodded, walking stridently out the door.
"And Bazine I suggest you go back to your quarters."
"Yes father."
He watched as she scurried out the door. When the door slammed shut he let his anger out.
"General Hux!"
"Yes sir."
"Prepare the knights and ships, we are getting Ren back."
"They'll be ready as soon as possible."
"Good."

Rey had soon come to her senses, remembering his betrayal from days ago once again.
"Kylo Ren, Ben Solo, whoever you are...you are the absolute worst."
"I know."
"I actually really hate you."
"Are you sure about that?"
Their foreheads were still touching, surprisingly Rey hadn't squirmed away from his touch yet.
"Yes I am."
Ren didn't reply, instead he broke their touch and started to tug lightly on her hand.
"I'll prove you wrong."
"Uh-huh."
"I will."
Rey rolled her eyes as he helped her out from her window. She was still in her sleepwear but it didn't matter, the weather outside was nice enough not to worry about having a light jacket on.
"I can't believe you'd betray me like that! Then decide to come to my window in your enemy's castle to see me in the middle of the night? That makes no sense."
"I didn't plan on betraying you..."
"Then what was that for?"
"I had to...it was my duty. I'm sorry."
"Well I'm sorry too, it was nice seeing you Kylo Ren."
Ren winced at the way she said his name. It wasn't because he had called her "Kylo Ren" it was the way she said it. The way she sounded made him heavy with guilt. Rey sounded disgusted by him, yet he couldn't blame her.
Who wouldn't be disgusted.
"Rey..."
She gave him one last look before heading back towards the window. This look wasn't a glare though, it was pure sadness.
"Rey..."
He walked towards her, grabbing at her waist before she could make her way back to her room.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..."
"You've said that so many times Ren! I'm tired of hearing you apologize..."
He didn't reply this time, instead moving closer to her.
"W-what are you doing?" Rey breathed out, her voice quiet and a low whisper.
"Something I should've done a while ago..."
Ren scanned over her lips before moving in to capture them with his own.
