The next morning, Brock walked into Ash's room to wake him up so they could finish getting ready for the hangout that Brock has planned.

"Ash wake up." Brock says nudging his side.

No response.

"Ash last chance."

Still no response.

"Alright I can play this game." A smirk appears on his face.

Brock then reaches over to Pikachu and wakes him up.

"Pika pi pi chu?" (Why did you wake me?) Pikachu asked groggily.

"I'm trying to wake you both up so we're not late getting to the cafe for the hang out I planned." Brock explains, which immediately makes Pikachu excited.

"Pika Pikachu?" (What hang out?)

"Ohh that's right. I forgot you were asleep. Well it was going to be Misty, Gary, Tracey and I, but were going to surprise the other three with a visit from yours truly." Brock points to the sleeping Ash next to Pikachu.

"Pik pi Pik. Pikachu pi pik chu." (Don't worry. I got this one.) Pikachu says grinning from ear to ear.

Pikachu got on top of Ash's stomach and positioned himself to discharge a powerful thunderbolt.

"Pika...CHUUUUUUU!" Pikachu screams, while shocking Ash out of his sleep.

"Ahhhhhhh!" He yells in pain. "Okay, okay. I'm up, I'm up."

Ash gets out of bed and heads into the bathroom to change into his normal outfit.

When he comes back out of the bathroom, Brock notices that he is still wearing the same outfit he has been for years.

"Will you ever change up your style?" Brock asks.

"Why change it up if it works?" Ash snaps back with a grin.

"True." Brock roles his eyes. "Well we better get going. They are probably there by now." Brock pulls Ash out of the room and out of the gym towards a meeting Ash would surely enjoy.

30 Minutes Later:

Misty's POV:

"Where is Brock?" I ask worriedly. "He should be here by now."

"Don't worry about him. He's probably google-eyeing some hottie on the side of the street. He will be here." Gary responds.

I look towards the doorway. 'He hasn't done that since he's been with Lily though.' I think to myself, which makes me even more worried.

Just as I was about to turn back around, Brock walks in with a smile on his face.

"There you are!" Tracey exclaims.

"Where were you? We were getting worried." I exclaim.

"No, she was getting worried." Gary corrects me sarcastically, while I look back at him. "I knew you were fine Brock. What, were you sexually assaulting nurse joy?" Gary then starts snickering.

"Sounds like something Gary Oak would say." A man directly behind me says.

"Nah I'm just playing arou..." Gary pauses, while looking towards the man.

Tracy also looks up and is stunned by the man.

"What is it guys?"

I turn around and I immediately gasp at the sight.

The boy I had spent years traveling with. The boy I had once called my best friend. The boy I have crushed on since I pulled him out of the river. That same boy was standing in front of me. The only problem was he wasn't a boy anymore. He was a young man now.

"ASH!" I scream in joy and I immediately get up and hug him with all my might.

"Hey Mist. It's been a while." He says. When I heard that nickname it made my knees buckle. There was only one person I allowed to call me that and here he is. After 8 long years, I'm finally standing face to face with him again.

"Yes it has. Too long." I respond still hugging him.

He isn't all that different from the last time I saw him. His hair is still just as messy as when I last saw him. But he is taller than me now! He's about 5 inches taller as a matter of fact. I could tell he has been working out since the shirt he wore shows off his abs flawlessly. Plus he has tanned a lot and his skin is now a slight golden brown color instead of the usual pale color like it used to be.

'He's so much more handsome now.' I blushed at the thought. 'He has such broad shoulders and his abbs are so sexy.'

I looked up into his chocolate brown eyes and got completely lost in them for a while. As I stood there I completely lost track of how long I was staring at him and had to be reminded to sit down.

"Misty? Earth to Misty? Sit down so we can go ahead and get this lunch started." Tracey said, while rolling his eyes at the sight.

"Oh-ohh. Okay my bad." I said blushing, knowing that I had gotten carried away with how long I was looking at Ash.

Ash POV:

I don't know what got over me. I just couldn't stop staring at Misty. I thought it would be like when I normally see her but I can't keep my eyes off of her. Even when we sat down I couldn't stop looking her way.

'She's gorgeous' I thought to myself.

Mom was totally wrong. She has changed tremendously. The only thing she got right was that she doesn't wear her normal tomboyish clothes anymore. Everything else was completely different from how my mother described it.

She wore her hair down and it had the most perfect waves that flowed down to her neck. She is about the same size as she used to be though (only being about 2 inches taller than the last time I saw her), but her curves were a lot more defined due to her age. Her breasts have also developed a lot since the last time I saw her. Having gone from flat chested to a c-cup.

'Not to big, but not to small.' I thought.

'No Ash! You shouldn't think about your best friend like that!' I yelled to myself in my head.

But I couldn't stop myself. I wasn't being a pervert and just focusing on her lady parts though like Brock would back in the day. I couldn't keep my eyes off anything about her.

'Her cerulean eyes. Her luscious red hair. Her small, pointy nose. Her light-framed body. Her beautifully developed curves. Her...' I was suddenly thrown from my thoughts and back into the real world.

"What did you say Gary?" I asked.

"I asked about what you've been up to, but you are clearly occupied by something else." He said with a smirk on his face. He was currently pointing at Misty who was distracted by a conversation with Brock.

Before I could respond Tracey looked towards me and asked, "Yeah Ash, what have you been up to?"

This gets everyone's attention.

"W-Well..." I stutter. "After I split up with Iris and Cilan, I went back to Sinnoh on my own and competed in the tournament there. I was able to win there and I just kept going until I also won the Hoenn, Johto, Unova, and Kalos leagues. The only ones I haven't won are the Kanto and Alola leagues."

"So your only back to compete in the tournament?" Tracey asks, which instantly made Misty frown. Ash saw this and it broke his heart to see her like this. He did have some good news though.

"No I'm done with competing. I'm home for good now." Misty heard this and immediately perked up and smiled. This made Ash smile back.

"Well good. I'm glad to hear it." Gary said as he slapped me on the back.

"So Tracey what have you been up to?" I ask.

"Well as you know I have been working with Professor Oak for years and I have actually started to paint professional."

"That's awesome!" I exclaim. "What else?"

"Well Daisy and I have started dating."

"I heard about that from my mom. I'm happy for you both." I say. "What about you Gary?"

"Not a lot has changed really besides Violet and I being married for about a year. I still work with Tracey and Grandfather at the lab." Gary replies.

"What about you Mist?"

Misty POV:

'There it is again.' I thought to myself and it immediately made me blush.

"Well not much has changed at all. I still run the gym by myself and I have been helping Brock plan his wedding." I let out a sigh from the reminder of my boring life.

"Well now that I'm back maybe we can change that." Ash replies

'What does he mean by that?' I thought to myself with a blush shooting across my face.

"I would love that."

"Well I better head home. I have to get home to the fiancé." Brock says.

"Yeah I have to head out as well. Daisy and I have a date tonight." Tracey starts to stand up.

"Well I guess I'm going to head out to. Violet wants me to cook tonight since she's the one that always does it." Gary sighs. "Looks like I'm going to have a horrible supper."

Everyone laughs at that and we get ready to leave. As I am walking away from the cafe, Ash comes up from behind and startles me.

"Ahh! Ash you scared me." I say and then I punch him playfully on the shoulder giggling in the process.

"Sorry about that." Ash says, while rubbing the back of his head.

'I love it when he does that' I think to myself. He does this anytime he's in an embarrassing situation. 'I wonder why he's embarrassed?' I asked myself.

"What's up Ash?"

"What? I can't take a walk with my best friend?" Ash asks sarcastically.

"I never said you couldn't moron." I respond, sadly knowing that he just friend zoned me.

"Well good. At least your personality hasn't change." We both start to laugh at the remark. "Hey I have to go meet with some old friends. You want to come with?" Ash asks me.

"I'd love to!" I respond. "Who are we going to see?"

"Iris and Cilan."

"Well what are we waiting for let's get on the road. Where are we meeting them?" I ask, thinking that Ash has already made plans.

"Well honestly I don't know. I can't get ahold of them and I don't know where they live."

'Typical Ash to not have a plan of attack and just wing it.' I thought as I giggled to myself.

"It's fine Ash. I happen to know where they are today."

"Well great! Lead the way Mist."

And with that we head off towards the mall where Cilan and Iris are looking for a wedding gift to bring to Brock and Lily's wedding. Looks like their going to get a little surprise of their own today.
