Pokéballs and Dragons

"RING RING RING, PHONE CALL, PHONE CALL!!!" Ash jolted out of his sleep at the sound of the videophone.

He got out of bed, groggily walked to the phone, and accepted the call. "Hello?"

"ASH, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!!!" Misty screamed through the black screen. It shocked Ash so badly that he nearly fell out of his seat.

"Your video cam isn't..."

"I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THE..." The redhead suddenly stopped mid-sentence. She figured out what was happening. She could hear it in his voice.

Misty groaned angrily into the phone and regathered herself. "You just woke up didn't you?"

"Uhhhh... yeah." Ash responded, confused about what the hell was going on.

"I knew I should have woken you up." Misty muttered to herself. "Look at the clock."

Ash hesitated for a second, wondering what a clock had to do with this, but he knew better than to question Misty. He turned around and gasped.

"HOW THE HELL DID I OVERSLEEP!!!"

"I told you it was a bad idea for me to stay at your place last night, but you had to push it." Misty groaned again. "I'm going to go so you can get dressed and get your ass down here." She was about to turn off the phone when she remembered something. "Oh, and Ash."

"Yeah Mist?"

"NO BREAKFAST OR ANY OTHER OF YOUR BULLSHIT MORNING ROUTINES! JUST GET DRESSED AND GET DOWN HERE! GOT IT?"

Ash sighed and made his way hastily to the closet. "Yes I do."

"Good." Misty sighed once more before hanging up.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Look, I'm not going to sit here all day waiting for this battle. I have more important things to do today." Lance, the dragon-type Elite 4 member, stated.

"Just give him a few more minutes. I talked to him about 15 minutes ago. He's on his way as we speak." Misty reassured him. She had walked out to the middle of the arena where Lance was waiting to explain what was going on.

"Alright, I'll give him another 5 minutes. If he doesn't show up between now and then, I'm going to..."

"HOLD ON!!! I'M HERE!!!" Ash screamed as he entered the stadium. Ash was so fast that Pikachu was having a hard time keeping up.

"Well, it's about damn time!" Misty exclaimed as she made her way up to Ash. "Hey Pikachu!" Misty exclaimed as she bent down and rubbed the electric mouse on the head.

"You ready to start?" Ash asked Lance as he embraced Misty in a quick hug.

Lance scoffed at this question. "I've been ready." He turned around and walked to his side of the arena.

"I have to get back to the stands now. Good luck and I love you." Misty gave Ash a quick peck on the lips before turning around and running to her seat.

"LOVE YOU TOO!!!" Ash called to her as he made his way to the opposite side of the arena from Lance.

The referee started to make his way to the middle of the battlefield when Lance put his hand up, stopping him in his tracks. "There's no need." He simply stated. Lance then pointed to Ash, signaling him to start things off.

"Infernape, I choose you!" Ash screamed as the Pokémon formed from its Pokéball.

"Kingdra, teach him a lesson!" The Kindra formed and took its battle stance. This fight was ready to begin.

"Infernape, start this off with Close Combat!" Infernape screamed his name and then ran straight toward Kingdra at full speed.

"Kingdra, use Agility and dodge it!" Infernape was just about to land the first punch when Kindra shot to the left in a blaze of speed. "Now use Hydro Pump!"

Kindra began to build up the attack in its chest when Ash gave his counter-attack.

"Infernape, use Flamethrower and evaporate his attack!" Infernape sucked in as much air as he possibly could and the two Pokémon unleashed their devastating attacks at the same time.

The Flamethrower and Hydro Pump hit at full strength and exploded in a massive cloud of steam. Once the steam dissipated, Kingdra and Infernape caught sight of each other and took their fighting stances.

"Infernape, use Taunt!" Infernape nodded and jumped into a backflip, so he could get further away from the opposing Pokémon. He landed, looked up at Kingdra, and smirked. Finally, he brought up his hand and tempted the Kingdra to attack.

The staus effect worked and caused the Kingdra to go into a fit of rage. "Kingdra, use Dragon Dance and build up your stats!" Lance called to his Pokémon.

The Pokémon, due to Infernape's previous attack, didn't listen and shot forward in an attempt to tackle Infernape.

"Infernape, use Mach Punch!" Infernape started to run straight at Kingdra. Once he got close enough, he jumped up and aimed the attack straight at Kindra's chest.

"KINGDRA, DODGE IT YOU FOOL!" Unfortunately, the Pokémon was still under Taunt's effect. Kingdra continued to rush straight for Infernape until he was hit directly in the chest by the Pokémon.

The impact sent Kingdra flying backward and into the ground. The referee started to run out to the arena to declare the victor of the round, but, once again, Lance stopped him.

"I told you that wasn't necessary." He then recalled Kingdra and threw out his next Pokémon.

"Druddigon, I choose you!" The dragon formed and took the first attack.

"Druddigon, use Rain Dance!" Druddigon then brought his hands up above his head and swayed his hips. Rain clouds formed above the arena and, soon enough, the entire battlefield was being drenched with rain.

Infernape could feel the effects immediately and dropped to his knees. Ash called to him and Infernape looked toward his master.

"I know you can do this! You've been through so much worse! Give him all you've got!" Infernape smiled at Ash and got back on his feet.

"That's the spirit buddy! Now use Acrobatics!" The Pokémon rushed forward and began to do front flips in the air.

"Druddigon, just wait for it!" This worried Ash.

'He has something planned. What the hell is it?' Ash asked himself.

Infernape was steadily getting closer and closer. Suddenly, a realization hit Ash. "They're going to use a water-type attack!" Ash exclaimed to himself.

Rain Dance boosts water-type attacks and the combination of that and a water-type attack proves deadly against any type of Pokémon, even more so when it was a fire-type.

Ash looked up and tried to warn him. "INFERNAPE, LOOK..." but by then it was too late.

Infernape was just about to hit Druddigon with Acrobatics when Lance gave his command. "DO IT DRUDDIGON!"

The dragon roared as his tail was engulfed in water. He did a quick spin to build up the attack's power and hit Infernape with a direct and super-effective Aqua Tail attack.

The power behind the hit was enough to send Infernape soaring into the stadium's wall. He fell to the ground and face planted. Infernape's battle was over. It already was when Ash failed to recognize his opponent's strategy.

The rain clouds parted and light began to shine down on the battlefield as Ash returned Infernape to his Pokéball.

"You did a great job Infernape. Get some rest now." Ash whispered to the Pokéball after returning his Pokémon. He then placed it back on his belt and grabbed his next combatant.

"Garchomp, I choose you!" The Pokémon formed and immediately started to run at Druddigon.

"Garchimp, use Dragon Claw!" As Garchomp was running, he brought his arms down and his claws started to glow green.

"Druddigon, use Dragon Claw as well and block him!" Druddigon started to run at Garchomp and did the same as his opponent.

The two came closer and closer until the finally collided at full speed and strength. The hit caused dust to fly everywhere, blocking people's views of the fight.

Once everything settled back down, it was revealed that Garchomp and Druddigon were caught in a vicious melee. Neither of them was backing down and they were giving it their all.

Eventually, Ash noticed that Druddigon was becoming tired, while Garchomp was still at full stamina. "Garchomp, you know what to do!"

Garchomp waited for his most opportune moment and managed to trip Druddigon and pin him to the ground. He then started to build up fire in his chest.

"Druddigon, get out of there!" Lance roared, but the dragon didn't have enough stamina left to throw Garchomp off.

Once Ash was sure that Garchomp was ready to unleash his attack, Ash gave his command. "NOW GARCHOMP!"

Garchomp got off of Druddigon and jumped up from his position to avoid being damaged by the attacks blast radius. Once he was far enough away, Garchomp unleashed his most devastating fire-type attack, Fire Blast.

The attack of all-consuming fire hit the dazed Druddigon at full power. The hit caused an explosion that had enough power to knock the hats off of spectators' heads. Once the fire and smoke cleared, Druddigon was seen to be buried into the ground and fainted.

"Druddigon, return!" Lance called to his Pokémon angrily. The bright red light absorbed Druddigon and then he threw out his next Pokémon. One that Ash wasn't expecting.

"Garchomp, I choose you!"

Once the Pokémon formed, the two beasts snarled and growled at each other as they circled the center of the arena. Suddenly, without warning, the two crashed into one another with perfectly aimed Dragon Claw attacks.

The two dragons slid away from each other and took their stances. "Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse!" Lance called to his Pokemon.

Lance's Garchomp built up the attack and shot it at its rival. Ash saw this and managed to warn Garchomp before it hit.

"Garchomp, jump up and dodge it!" Garchomp did as he was told and managed to jump right over the attack. He landed and started to rush at the other dragon. "Now use Dragon Rush!"

Garchomp started to pick up speed as bright blue energy began to build up around him.

"Garchomp, use Dragon Rush as well!" Lance called out. Just like his rival, Lance's Garchomp rushed forward and began to build up the same bright blue energy around him.

The power and speed behind their attacks increased and two dragons made of pure energy formed around the two Pokémon. The attack hit with enough force to blow both of their trainers back and onto the ground.

Ash got up first and waited patiently for the dust to settle. Once it did, both dragons were facing each other, panting and sweating.

"This is insane!" Misty exclaimed to Brock. "They're both so equally powered that I don't think either of them could take out the other!"

"There'll be a winner eventually. You know how Ash is. He'll think of something." Brock reminded the redhead.

"Yeah." Misty smiled. "He always does."

Ash took a second to think. 'There's no way that Garchomp is going to be able to beat him in a straight-up fight. They'll both just faint from exhaustion before even landing a...' Suddenly, Ash had an idea.

"Garchomp, rush at him and use Iron Head!" This would be risky, but if it worked then it could possibly assure him the victory.

"Garchomp, counter with Aerial Ace!" Lance called to his Pokemon. Right before Garchomp could head butt his opponent, Lance's Garchomp jumped into the air and landed behind him. He then sliced into Garchomp's back, causing him to drop to one knee.

"Keep it up Garchomp!" Lance called to his Pokémon. The dragon continued to rush around Garchomp, slashing at him with Aerial Ace, eventually bringing him to both his hands and knees.

"Take the hits Garchomp! You can do it! I KNOW YOU CAN!!!" Ash screamed to his Pokémon.

"What the hell is he doing Brock?" Misty asked as she leaned against the barricade blocking her from entering the arena.

Brock smirked at Misty. He knew what Ash was planning. He was the one who taught him this. "He's being patient. We all know that Garchomp is to equal in power to Lance's to take him down in a straight-up fight."

Misty looked at Brock and smirked, realizing what Ash was doing. "He's trying to wear him down until he's out of stamina!" Misty exclaimed.

"Exactly! It would give Garchomp the advantage and hopefully even the takedown. We just have to hope and pray to Arceus that Garchomp doesn't go down before he gets his chance."

The two looked back out to the battlefield to checkup on Garchomp's condition. It wasn't looking too good.

Garchomp was steadily being slashed and hacked at by his rivals Aerial Ace attack and was getting closer and closer to giving way.

"Just a little more Garchomp!" Ash yelled. As Ash said this, he noticed something. Lance's Garchomp was beginning to sweat and slow down. A grin made its way to Ash's face.

"Keep it up Garchomp!" Lance called to his Pokémon. "Only a few more hits and..." Suddenly, Lance's Garchomp backed off and stumbled backward. He was too exhausted to keep up the attacks and needed to regain his strength.

This gave Ash the perfect chance to strike.

"This is our chance! Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse at point-blank range!" Garchomp got up and walked up to the other. He grabbed the dragon by the shoulders and brought him in close.

Garchomp quickly built up the attack and unleashed it directly into the other's chest. The attack sent Lance's Garchomp flying back and slamming into the ground. He started to get back up, but Ash wouldn't have it.

"Garchomp, finish him with Draco Meteor!" Garchomp planted himself into the ground and put all of his remaining strength into the attack.

"GARCHOMP!!! MOVE, NOW!!!" Lance yelled. Unfortunately, his Garchomp didn't have enough energy to get up and move in time.

Ash's Garchomp, after finally building up his strength, leaned back and roared as loudly as possible into the sky. While Lance's Garchomp was trying to get back up, meteors began to fall from the atmosphere on a direct course for him.

All the dragon could do was lay there and wait for its impending doom. Eventually, the attack hit and caused a massive explosion. The explosion was bigger than any Ash had ever seen before and even caused an earthquake right after.

Once the dust finally settled after a couple of minutes, it was revealed that both Garchomps were on the ground. Ash's had gone down due to exhaustion, but this draw provided Ash with everything he needed to end this fight as a victory in his name.

The two trainers congratulated their Pokémon and called out their next ones.

"Sceptile, I choose you!"

"Dragonite, I choose you!"

The two Pokémon took their places and the battle commenced.

"Sceptile, use Leaf Storm!" Sceptile yelled his name into the air as he built up a tornado of leaves and sent them hurtling toward Dragonite.

"Dragonite, dodge it by flying into the air and then use Thunderbolt!" Dragonite listened and flew straight up, dodging the storm of leaves by a mile. He then quickly charged up a powerful Thunderbolt and shot it straight toward Sceptile.

"Sceptile, dodge it!" Sceptile tried to jump out of the way but was still hit in the process. The attack chared his right leg and sent him tumbling to the ground.

"Dragonite, finish him off with Flame Punch!" The dragon looked down at its target and dived straight for him.

"Come on Sceptile! You have to get out of the way!" Ash yelled. Sceptile stood up and tried to walk, but his busted leg caused him to fall back down.

Dragonite winded up his fist and smashed right into Sceptile. Dust and debris flew up and into the air from the impact the punch caused. Ash already knew the outcome and didn't need to wait for the dust to settle.

He blindly called Sceptile back and looked down at Pikachu. "You've faced one of these before. You up to the challenge?"

"Pika pikachu pi!" Pikachu exclaimed. He then bolted out to the arena and prepared for battle.

"Dragonite, let's start this off with a Dragon Tail!" Before Dragonite could even move, Ash was already giving his order.

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail to counter!" As Dragonite took off toward Pikachu at blazing speed, Pikachu stood his ground. Eventually, Dragonite's tail began to glow green and he reared back to strike.

Once he got close enough, Pikachu rushed forward with a well-timed Quick Attack and jumped into the air. He did a front flip and brought his tail forward as it turned to solid steel.

Their tails hit with such force that it sent both Pokémon back about 15 feet. After Pikachu recollected himself, he was ready for his next order.

"Pikachu, use Electro Ball!" Pikachu shot forward and jumped into the air. He then did a front flip as he charged up a ball of electricity at the end of his tail.

"PIKACHU!!!" He screamed as Pikachu unleashed the ball from his tail and sent it straight toward Dragonite.

Lance simply scoffed. "Show them what you can do Dragonite!"

Dragonite clenched his fists and closed his eyes as he panted himself. As the Electro Ball became closer to him, Dragonite stood his ground. The attack hit full force and sent dust flying all around the Pokémon. Pikachu, just to be safe, took a battle stance and awaited the dust to settle.

Suddenly, red eyes could be inside the dust cloud. "Dragonite, use Outrage!" Purple energy could be seen building up around the red eyes when, suddenly, Dragonite stormed out of the cloud of dust at Mach speed.

"Pikachu, use Quick Attack and jump onto his back!" Pikachu looked back and nodded before picking up speed. Soon, Pikachu was reaching speeds faster than Dragonite, and time seemed to slow down.

He jumped up and grabbed ahold of Dragonite's wing. He pulled himself onto the dragon and grasped the top of his head.

"Dragonite, shake him off!" Dragonite sored into the air and flew up, down, left, right, sideways, upside down, and whatever way he could think of to get the mouse off of his back.

"Pikachu, finish him off with Thunder!" Ash called to his Pokémon.

Pikachu grabbed ahold of Dragonite's head and began to build up the electricity in his body.

"YOU'VE GOT THIS PIKACHU!!!" Ash screamed as loud as he possibly could. "YOU'VE DONE IT BEFORE AND YOU DAMN SURE CAN DO IT AGAIN!!!"

This was it. This is what everyone was waiting for. Pikachu had finished building up the attack and was ready to unleash it.

"PIKA... CHUUUUUUUUU!!!" Pikachu screamed as he unleashed the devastating attack into the back of Dragonite's head and neck. Dragonite instantly fainted and fell from the sky.

Just before Dragonite hit the ground, Pikachu jumped off and landed on his feet. Dragonite hit the ground and fainted right after, causing Lance to become even more frustrated than he already was.

He didn't say a single word as he returned his Pokémon and threw out his next. What surprised Ash was that it was another Dragonite.

"You have two of them?" Ash looked over to Pikachu. He knew that he couldn't handle another fight against one of these. Ash started to recall Pikachu, but he immediately refused.

"Are you sure Pikachu?"

"Pika!" Was all Pikachu said before turning back around and taking a battle stance.

"Alright then!" Ash yelled while grinning. "Pikachu, start this off with a Quick Attack and Double Team combo!"

"Pika, pika, pika, pika, pika, pika, pika!" Pikachu huffed as he built up speed. Once he reached his terminal velocity, Pikachu split into 8 copies to try and confuse the dragon.

"Dragonite, use Ice Beam and take them all out!" Lance directed his Pokémon.

Dragonite leaned back and built the ice up in his chest. He was just about to unleash it when Ash gave Pikachu his order.

"Pikachu, jump up and dodge it!"

Pikachu did as he was told and jumped up and out of the way right as Dragonite unleashed his attack upon Pikachu's copies. It ripped straight through them in an instant, but this distraction gave Ash plenty of time to get out his next attack.

"Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!"

Pikachu rushed forward in a blaze of speed and built-up electricity all around his body. He jumped up and hit Dragonite directly in the chest, sending the pseudo-legendary sliding backward before coming to a stop.

"Show him what a real attack is! Dragonite, use Wing Attack!"

Dragonite took off from the ground and extended out his wings. As he began to swoop in, Ash tried to get Pikachu to dodge it in time.

"Pikachu, dodge it!" Ash cried.

Sadly, Pikachu just wasn't fast enough and the attack was a direct hit. It sent Pikachu soaring out of the main arena and into the entrance on Ash's side of the stadium.

Ash rushed to Pikachu's side and picked him up. "You did your best Pikachu. I'm so proud of you." Ash walked back inside the arena and laid Pikachu down.

The audience took a second to applause Pikachu for his effort. After they finished, the battle was ready to begin again.

"Greninja, I choose you!" Ash yelled as he threw out the Pokéball. The ninja frog formed already in his battle stance and was ready to battle.

"Dragonite, use Thunder Punch!" Lance screamed. The dragon jumped up and took flight. After soaring up high enough, he started his descent and began to build up electricity around his fist.

"Greninja, use..." Before Ash could finish his sentence, Greninja took off running straight for Dragonite.

Dragonite was just about to punch Greninja right in the chest when Greninja jumped up and used Aerial Ace midair, managing to slice into Dragonite's back in the process.

The attack hurt Dragonite badly and sent him crashing into the ground. Before Dragonite could get back up, Greninja grabbed a nearby rock and rushed toward him. He then jumped into the air and landed on Dragonite's back, using Rock Smash on the back of his head in the process.

The hit was devastating and fainted Dargonite instantly. Greninja backflipped off of the unconscious Pokémon and landed in front of Ash, crossing his arms in his signature victory pose.

The entire crowd roared and applauded Greninja's quick takedown of Dragonite. Lance, however, was fuming.

"Salamence, I choose you!" The Pokémon formed and the first thing Ash noticed was the brace around the dragon's neck containing a mega stone. Lance then pulled up his sleeve and revealed his matching stone and bracelet.

"Salamance, I need you to harness the power of your long lost ancestors. I need you to... MEGA EVOLVE!!!" Lance pressed the stone and awaited the transformation that was sure to come soon after.

As was expected, Salalmence became engulfed in bright shining lights and once they went away it was revealed that he had mega evolved. Ash was hesitant at first but decided that Greninja could handle the beast.

"Greninja, let's give him everything we've got!" Ash yelled as both he and Greninja were surrounded by a bright white light. Suddenly, they both reappeared with Greninja having transformed into his Ash-Greninja form. Greninja took his battle stance and got ready for the first attack.

"Salamence, use Thunder Fang!" Lance cried out.

Salamence shot off the ground and started flying straight at Greninja at top speed. Greninja crouched down and planted himself to the ground to prepare for the incoming attack.

Once Salamence got close enough, Ash gave his order. "Greninja, use Ice Beam!"

The frog brought his hands to his chest and began building up the super-effective beam. Lance saw this and desperately tried to get Salamence to get out of the way.

"Salamence, dodge it!"

The dragon started to pull away, but Greninja had managed to completely build up the Ice Beam before Salamence could get away.

"GRRREEENNIIIINNN...JAAAAAAAAAA!!!" The Pokémon screamed as he unleashed the devastating attack. It hit Salamence directly in the side and sent him flying across the stadium.

Salamence somehow managed to correct himself midair and didn't hit the ground.

"How did he manage to take an Ice Beam like that?" Ash questioned himself. This battle would be a lot more difficult than he originally expected it to be to say the least.

"Salamence, use Flamethrower!" Salamence built of the fire in its chest extremely quickly and unleashed it in Greninja's direction.

"Dodge it!" Ash yelled to Greninja.

The Pokémon did a cartwheel to the right and managed to dodge the attack. He then took off in Salamence's direction and awaited Ash's command.

"Greninja, use Smokescreen!" After hearing this, Greninja jumped into the air and threw a smoke bomb at the ground in front of him, vanishing from everyone's sight.

"Salamence, where did he go?" His answer was almost immediately answered when Greninja dropped out of the air and smashed down into Salamence's back with a Water Shuriken.

"Salamence, wrap him up with your tail!" Greninja heard Lance and tried to jump out of the way, but Salamence managed to get ahold of him beforehand.

The pain from Greninja being bonded instantly hit Ash like a truck and he felt his knees buckled.

"Salamence, use Dragon Breath on him at point-blank range!"

Salamence looked at Ash and then back at its trainer. He was more worried about what it would do to Ash than anything.

"JUST DO IT!!!" Lance screamed.

Salamence hesitated at first but decided that it was best to listen. He built up the purple fire in his chest before unleashing it on Greninja.

"AAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Ash screamed in pain as he dropped to his hands and knees. The entire audience went silent at the sight.

Somehow, through the pain, Ash managed to look over at Misty. He could see her crying over his condition. Then he noticed something else. She was mouthing something to him. He read her lips and she was saying...

"Just stop... I don't want to lose you."

Ash thought about this for a moment. If he gave up then that was it. This was his last chance. There weren't any after this. But if he didn't... what if he... Ash stopped thinking about it. He looked over at Misty one last time before using all the strength he had left in his entire body.

He planted his right fist on the ground and slowly pushed himself back up. He somehow managed to get back to his feet and took a second to recollect himself. The pain was immense and that task was almost impossible.

Once he was ready, Ash tried taking a step forward, but nearly fell back down. He looked at Greninja and made his decision.

"I-I... argh... must fight through the... pain." Ash whispered to himself.

Ash planted his feet to prevent himself from falling and proceeded to do something no one expected.

"ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Ash screamed. "FIGHT THROUGH THE PAIN GRENINJA!!! I DIDN'T COME ALL THIS WAY FOR THIS TO BE HOW IT ALL ENDS!!! FIGHT THROUGH THE PAIN!!! GRENINJA, USE HYDRO PUMP AT FULL BLAST!!!"

Suddenly, Greninja's eyes glowed blue as he built up the water in his chest.

"No... No there's no way!" Lance screamed.

"GRENINJA....... NOWWWWWWWWW!!!"

At that moment, Greninja unleashed one of the most powerful Hydro Pumps the Indigo League had ever seen before. The hit caused Salamence to lose his grip on Greninja immediately and shot the dragon across the battlefield and into the stadium's wall, causing the entire wall to collapse.

"GRENINJA, FINISH IT OFF WITH WATER SHURIKEN!!!" Greninja rushed at the Salamence and jumped into the air. He built up the shuriken with the last amount of strength that he had left.

"SALAMENCE, GET OUT OF THERE!!!" Lance desperately tried to warn him. What he didn't know, however, was that this battle was decided as soon as Greninja came out of his Pokéball.

"GRE... NIN... JAAAAA!!!" Greninja screamed as he unleashed the attack. The hit caused the debris and dust left from the wall to shoot up into the air and surround the whole battlefield.

When the dust settled almost 10 minutes later, Salamence was back in his normal form and was buried underneath the rubble, obviously fainted.

For the first time during the entire battle, the referee walked out to the arena and announced the obvious.

"Salamence is unable to battle! The winners are Ash Ketchum and his Greninja!"

The entire audience was dead silent. They were still in shock over what just happened.

Ash tried to walk but immediately fell to the ground.

"ASH!!!" Misty screamed as she jumped the barricade followed by Delia, Brock, and the rest of their friends and family.

She ran up to Ash and rested his head in her lap. She began to cry, but Ash reached up and wiped the tears from her eyes.

"DON'T YOU EVER SCARE ME LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!" Misty screamed. "WHEN I SAY TO DROP OUT OF A FIGHT YOU BETTER FUCKING DO IT NEXT TIME!!!"

"I'm happy to see you too." Ash whispered while chuckling.

"Do you really have to be a smartass in a moment like this?" Misty asked grinning, tears still running down her cheeks.

"If I wasn't then you should definitely be worried." Misty and Ash both laughed as she cradled him in her arms.

Ash tried to lean up but felt nothing but pain. "Argh!"

"WHAT IS IT ASH?" Misty asked worriedly.

"I want to kiss you, but I can't exactly lean up." Ash explained while grinning.

Misty grinned back at him as she leaned in. "I can help you with that."

They kissed until paramedics arrived to take him away. As they were loading him in the back, Misty and Delia got in.

Once Ash was finally loaded in, he looked at Misty and grinned. "And to think I still have 2 more to go."

"Don't remind me!" Misty joked as she leaned in to give Ash another kiss.

And that's a wrap! I want to do something different than usual when it comes to the end of this chapter. I really appreciate the reads and favorites on my stories and the chapters, but there have been two people in particular that have gone above and beyond and left comments and helped me with my writing.
