I changed into some clothes and called my mom to take me to Dominic's house. I waited in the car silently tapping my feet impatiently. It was 2:34 now, meaning that the boys left two hours ago. So no, I didn't lie to them about having to go to the sleepover in a few minutes, I just might've, accidentally, fainted. What can I say, I woke up early okay? Ha, that rhymes. My mom rushed into the car and drove me to Dominic's. By the time we got there it was 4:53. Traffic.. It's like destiny doesn't want me to go there. I walked towards his front steps. I hesitated, but rung the doorbell anyways. "Nomi!" "Dominic." I said strictly making him frown. "Why are ya late, Naomi?" He said putting his grin back on. "I-" "Whatever it doesn't matter, come on!" He said dragging me to his back door. I was supposed to be here four hours ago and he doesn't care about that excuse I made during the car trip?!

He led me outside where I saw crowds of people all over the place. Dominic lives on a hill, so there was some on the hill some at the bottom near the lake. There were people with tents, umbrellas, towels on the floor, and drinks. Most were in the water though. It was at this moment.. I knew I messed up. "I should've brought a towel!" I complained. "Got one." He said handing me one. "I should've brought a bathing suit!" "Got one." He said. He gave me a two piece, which I hated by the way. "Are you crazy?! This shows too much body!" I shouted making him flinch. "Only thing I have." "But it's-" "Do you wanna go in the pool or not?" He asked. "Not with that thing I don't!" He sighed. "Your loss." He said throwing it back in the house.

"Why are people even out here?" I asked. "Because of the firework show! Why else?" "Oh right, it's the Fourth of July!" I exclaimed. I started laying down the towel and Dominic laying down next to me. I backed up a bit not wanting to get too close. He sat up and then the fireworks started. I looked as each one exploded on the sky. I smiled a bit, imaging if Bennett, Jordan, and Declan were here. "Would you look at that?" A familiar voice said. "She's here." I turned seeing my three most favourite people. I smiled wider, but then turned towards Dominic. "What are they doing here?" He asked putting a fake smile on. "I don't know, but it's great!" I said. Bennett sat next to me, Declan sat beside Dominic, and Jordan kept rolling down the hill. "You're beautiful." Dominic said. I looked at him. "Yeah the fireworks are beautiful." I said looking back up. "Wait what?" I asked. Declan's famous glare spread across his face, Bennett's fists clenched, and Jordan kept rolling.

"I said, You're beautiful, Nomi." He said smiling at me, ignoring the death glare from Declan, and Bennett's calm yet angered glare. "That not the look I though of." I said as Bennett elbowed me. "Don't say that Naomi." He whispered. I shrugged and looked back up at the fireworks. I heard people talking, taking pictures and such. "Here." Bennett said handing me a sparkler. My eyes widened. I grabbed it and he lit it. I smiled and ran over to Jordan. "I demand, a sparkler battle." I said majestically. He grabbed one from his pocket and lit it up. "I do." He said as he held up his sparkler. "ATTACK!" I shouted. I began hitting his sparkler against mine. Mine finally went out. "I win, haha!" He shouted. I grabbed the burnt sparkler and he kneeled down. "I know announce you, the King of Sparklers." I said putting it on each one of his shoulders.

"Finally my life long wish, has come true." He said stars sparkling in his eyes. He held up his sparkler. "I am the king of spark-" Then his sparkler went out. I started laughing like crazy. That was so dramatic.. Then, poof. "No.." He began falling back on his knees. "NOOOOOO!!!!!!" He said dropping his stick on the ground. I finally stopped laughing and walked back towards Bennett. "I lost!" I complained. "You gave me a bad sparkler." "Sorry." He said. "Do you have any more?" "No," He began. "But I do have some fireworks." He said pulling some out. "Yay!" I exclaimed getting up. I grabbed him from the hand and dragged him towards Jordan. Declan got up and followed after us. "Let's light up some fireworks!" Declan exclaimed. Bennett placed it down. "What type is it?" I asked. "You'll see." He grinned. "Wow, that's the first time I've ever seen you grin." "Let's just say, you'd be surprised." He placed three other ones next to it. Jordan quickly ran through them and lit them all up at the same time. He stood to my right side as Bennett on the other and Declan next to Jordan.

"That's amazing!" I shouted. "It's beautiful it's- I can't even!!" The first firework was a like a drawing of Bennett. The second was Declan. The third was Jordan. Then the last was me. I grinned even harder. "Is this even possible?!" I shouted. "For a rich guy it is." Declan mumbled. I heard a bunch of clapping from the people who looked at us, then at the fireworks. There was hooting and Bennett bowed a bit. Dominic walked in front of us. "Naomi, I uh.. Isn't this our sleepover?" "Technically, it isn't a sleepover yet.. Since we're outside." Bennett said. "Well let's go back inside and watch from there Naomi." He grabbed my hand. "No." I said. He let go. "I don't wanna. I want to spend it with my best friends." Dominic smiled. "I knew it. You're too nice Naomi." He didn't question if he was also one of my best friends, so he's nice too. "Thanks." I said looking back at the sky. The fireworks started to finish. "I'm glad I was able to spend time with you guys." "Same to you Naomi. It wouldn't be the same without you." I couldn't tell who said it, but I looked back up at the sky. "I'd be bullied without you." I whispered making sure Dominic didn't hear. They smiled until I couldn't help but smile back.

We all did a quick bear hug and I walked inside. "Night guys." "Night fourth." They said in unison. Dominic closed the back door and I went into my sleeping bag. "Hey who says the party is over?" Dominic said. I gave him a confused look and he smiled. He turned on the lights. "I'm sleepy Dominic." I said turning towards my pillow. "I'm not." He said. "It's 10:41. Go to sleep." "Okay okay, but call me Domi." "Why?" "Just do it." "Ugh, Dimo." "No Domi." "Mido." "No, Domi." "Odim." "No Domi." "Imod."  "Close enough.." He said. He turned off he light and I fell asleep.

HAPPY LATE 4TH OF JULY!!! Hope ya enjoyed, bro. Hehe, sorry I made Dominic different. I wanted somebody more.. I don't know.. Meaner. But yeah, there's a new character next chappie. Well not new technically just somebody Nomi is friends with but hasn't shown up in this book at all.
