Chapter 16: I Like You Naomi.
I raced through the crowd trying to find the guy with the hoodie. Why am I making such a big deal out of this? I found a guy in a hoodie and pulled it off. "Hey!" He shouted. "Oops sorry sir!" Wrong guy, this one looked older and had brown eyes. Ugh. I gave up and sat on a park bench seeing the kids have fun. Memories of my childhood came. Memories, means Parker and Dominic. I groaned trying to ignore them. I don't want to remember the past. Soon, the little kids were the ones in the park. I smiled seeing two of them chasing each other around the playground. Then one tripped. Ouch. I walked over to help. "You okay?" I asked. He smiled at me. "Aunt Naomi, I tripped!" What the heck? "What do you mean?" "No not you, her!" He pointed at another women coming to help. Oh.. I quickly walked back towards my bench seeing another guy there. He had a hoodie on, but of course my luck is too low to let me see the blue eyed one.
I walked over and sat down. "So." I began, trying to make a conversation starter. "You know this park?" I asked. You could see a smile from the hoodie covering him. "Nope." "I don't either. I mean, I feel kinda lost." "Yeah, me too." His voice sounded familiar but I haven't spoken to Bennett in some time. So I wouldn't know how Bennett's voice sounded. I groaned. "What's wrong?" He asked, not making eye contact with me. "Um.. Nothing. What's your name?" "I'd rather not answer that question, remember I'm just a stranger." I frowned. "Well, I'm Naomi Lorraine, nice to meet you." I said watching the kids. "Why'd you tell me that?" He asked. "I don't know, just a hunch." Hmm.. He's right. Why'd I just tell him that? I'm such an idiot! Stay calm Naomi, stay calm. "Yeah, you are." Don't tell me I just said that out loud. "You didn't just say that out loud." Ugh, I'm so awkward. "Yes you are." "You know what, I'm just gonna shut my mind up." I stated. He smiled. "I like you Naomi." He said.
"I-I'm- We just met and you like me?" I stuttered. "As a friend. Then again, we've met before." "We have?" I asked. "Yeah. The guy you bumped into in Highschool. The one you told off?" "B-Bennett?" I stuttered. "You stutter a lot Naomi, I thought you would've grown but you're still as cute as ever." "You're.. Y-You're alive?" "I didn't die Naomi. I'll explain it at the base but right now, I think I'm just gonna spend time with somebody I thought I'd never see again." I opened my mouth to say something but then he crashed his lips against mine. He pulled away and smiled. "You're mine. And I'll never leave again." I thought about Declan. My feelings for him disappeared. Maybe they were just a replacement for Bennett.. Because I thought he was dead. Which by the way, I'm totally gonna ground him for leaving me. I leaned on Bennett's shoulder. "You're so dead for leaving me." I said. He put his arm around me. "Yeah, I know." I smiled. "You're also gonna get interrogated by me." "Yeah I know." I really wanted to ask him what happened, but I should relax before the drama with Declan comes. I sighed. "Bennett, I don't understand." "Hm?" "I'm mad at you but happy that you're okay." "That's not something I could help with Naomi."
"Right." "Let's go, it's becoming sunset." "... One huge problem." I said. "I'm lost, my phone is dying, and didn't bring-" "Naomi, I thought we were never gonna find you! Where- Who is he?" Declan asked, coming behind Bennett. Bennett pulled his hoodie up. "A friend." I said. Declan started examining Bennett. Bennett looked a bit uncomfortable. "Can you leave him alone Declan?" I asked. "He!" Jordan said coming out of nowhere. "Naomi, why are you blushing?" Declan asked. I turned away, Bennett having an amused look on his face. That's new. "Am not!" "Did he make you blush??" Jordan asked having a grin on his face. "No!" Declan smiled. "Good, because you're mine." He said getting in front of Bennett and smiling at him, while pulling me to his side. Brown eyes meeting blue eyes. Declan smiled at me and placed a kiss on my cheek. Bennett did not seem happy. At all. A few seconds later, Declan was pinned to the wall by Bennett. Oh no.. "Listen here Declan." He hissed. "Just because I was almost killed and had to wait years to come back because of a president, doesn't mean that you can do that in front of anybody trying to make them jealous, without getting in trouble."
"Okay then Bennett." Declan hissed. He wasn't even happy, or impressed that Bennett was alive... "Who was the one who left their girl all alone to two guys? Who-" "My girl.. She's still mine." Bennett smiled as he left. "Goodnight Naomi." He called out. I was confused. "Night." Was all that came out. Wait a minute. The interrogation! "Dang it Frazier come back!" I looked at the turn Bennett took but it was too late. He was long gone.
Here's the chapter. Yeah, that was interesting.
