(Normal POV)

The group stood in silence as both May and Dawn were completely surprised to see their old friend and traveling companion all the way in Kalos of all places. Ash got both Buneary and Skitty off of him and Pikachu as he slowly got up.

"Ash? Do you.... know them?" Serena asked silently nervous. For two girls to randomly show up and having their Pokémon tackle Ash and Pikachu in a hug and Ash knowing them already is kind of.......... Nerve racking. Both May and Dawn noticed her tone of voice but decided not to ask about that, well.... At least for now.

"Yeah..." Ash said. "Guys these two are old friends on mine, the girl with the brown hair is May and the girl with the blue hair is Dawn. I traveled with May when I first came to Hoenn and I traveled with Dawn when I went to Sinnoh. Both of them are striving to become top coordinators"

"May?.... Dawn?..... Where did I hear those names from?" Serena thought. "Wait.... Now I remember, Brook mention them. Calm down Serena, from what Brook said they are just friends."

"So Ash, are you going to introduce us?" Dawn asked.

"It's only fair" May said.

"Right, the guy in the blue jumpsuit is Clemont, the girl next to her is his little sister Bonnie, and the girl next to me is Serena. All of us are traveling together for my gym badges and Serena's showcase" Ash said.

"Showcase..... WAIT, YOU'RE A PERFORMER!!!" May said excited. "THAT'S SO COOL, I ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE A SHOWCASE EVER SINCE I HEARD OF THEM!!! What's it like? What cute Pokémon do you have? What's your go-to Faison choice? What is..........."

"Easy there May" Dawn said grabbing her shoulder. "I think you're overwhelming her with all those question."

"......... Yeah.........." Serena said trailing a bit. "I actually haven't participated in one yet, the one in a couple of days will be my first one. But anyway it's nice you meet both of you."

"Same here" Dawn said to Serena as both her and May shift their attention to Clemont and Bonnie. "Also it's great to meet you two as will."

"Likewise" Clemont said "It's so nice to meet more of Ash's.......... wait..... Bonnie what are you.........?"

"Please take care of my brother," Bonnie said kneeling down in from of May and Dawn. "Either of you would perfect for him, I'm sure either of you will be very happy with him."

"Wait.... WHAT?!?!" May exclaimed.

"TAKE CARE OF???" Dawn exclaimed

"BONNIE!!!!!!" Clemont yelled deploying his mechanical Aipom arm and grabbing her from behind. "I TOLD YOU TO STOP DOING THAT A HUNDRED TIME!!!"

Clemont then ran out of the lobby extremely embarrassed with Bonnie in tow on the Mechanical arm. Both May and Dawn sweatdropped as they were left dumbfounded on what just happened.

"Uh..... What just happened?" May said.

"Yeah..... Sorry about that" Ash said sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "Bonnie tends to propose for her brother to just about every girl she comes across."

"Really......?" Dawn said still being a bit dumbfounded.

"Yeah... she did that the first time she met me too" Serena explained. "Don't take it too seriously, she just a little...... straightforward."

"That's for sure" May said.

"And here I thought Brook was the only one that was ever straightforward with girls" Dawn said. "I guess she is like Brook."

"Oh... Speaking of which. Brook is here in Kalos" Ash said.

"Really!" they said.

"Yeah... I saw him a couple of months ago, he was in Cyllage City when I went to get my second badge." Ash said. "He looked like he was doing great treating Pokémon as he was helping out at the Pokémon center there."

"That good, it's nice to know that he's doing well for himself" May said.

"So... I hope you don't mind me asking, but what brings you two to Kalos?" Serena asked.

"Well, May and I have been in touch for a while talking about different ways to improve our skills in Pokémon contest" Dawn explained. "Once we heard of Pokémon performances and how they are extremely popular in Kalos we just had to come. So we made plans to visit Kalos together to learn more about them and see if we could adapt Pokémon performances to out contest skills."

"Yep, the three of us got here yesterday evening from the fairy" May said.

"Three?" Serena asked.

"Oh right.... you see when I asked my parents if it was ok for me to go to Kalos with Dawn they were ok with it. However, they insisted that I take my brother with me since it would be a good experience for him to learn more about Pokémon from other regions. I couldn't really argue with them so........ Yeah...... He's here too."

"Max is here!" Ash said excited.

"Yeah, right now he's in the backyard outside the Pokémon center because he wanted to see other trainer's Pokémon from Kalos. I told him that was fine as long as he doesn't wander off" May said. "Now that I think of it that was a while ago. I should really go and see how he's doing. You two want to come?"

"You bet, it's been a while since I saw him" Ash said.

"I bet he will be surprise to see Ash again after all this time, lead the way" Serena said.

The four of them left the lobby of the Pokémon center being led by May and Dawn and made their way to the backyard. Once they got to the yard they saw Max and he looked as though he still has the same style of clothes from when he traveled back in Hoenn but with a more modern look and a slightly bigger size.

As May was about to let him know that she's back Max was already in a conversation with.... A certain blue jumpsuit gym leader and his little, but troublesome, sister.

"So and the reason why most electric moves are ineffective against grass-type Pokémon is because that most grass types have to ability to redirect the electricity through their body and into the ground beneath them. However, if they are airborne for whatever reason they won't be able to redirect it and electric attacks will do normal damage to them" Clemont said as Max was taking notes in a notebook.

"I see, that does make a lot of sense" Max said. "I got to say, I'm impressed with your knowledge of electric types."

"Well like I said, not only am I an inventor but I am also a gym leader specializing in electric types" Clemont said.

"So why again are you away from your gym?" Max asked.

"To make a long story short I desisted to travel around with some friends to help widen my horizon about Pokémon. So right now one of my inventions are watching the gym while I am away" Clemont said. He then spotted Ash and the girls walking to the backyard coming up behind Max. "Speaking of friends, here are some of them now."

Max turned around and saw May and Dawn walking up with two more people beside them.

"Hey May, I was just talking to.........." Max started but soon stopped when he saw a certain raven hair trainer standing behind May and Dawn. "A...Ash?!?!"

"Hey Max" Ash said with a smile. "Long time no see."

"NO WAY, IT IS YOU!!!" Max yelled in excitement. He got up and ran into Ash practically tackle him in a big hug.

"Good to see you too" Ash said while being bear-hugged by Max.

"Looks like some is happy to see you again Ash" Serena said smiling at the heartwarming scene going on in front of her.

"Eheheheh..... Yeah" Ash said sheepishly.

"As you can see my brother has always been an admirer of Ash" May said. "He even saw him compete in the Sinnoh and Unova league on T.V. sometime after we finished traveling in Hoenn and Kanto."

"He's your brother? So I take it he is also traveling with you and Dawn" Clemont said.

"Yeah..." Max said releasing from his hug from Ash. "I also take it you and your sister have already met."

"Yeah, we met moments before I rushed out of the Pokémon center and ran into you" Clemont said.

"So.... How did you two meet?" Dawn asked.

"Well......." Bonnie started before Clemont covered her mouth with his hand.

"You see, after I ran out of the lobby I took Bonnie here to the backyard to scold her for what she did" Clemont said.

"HMMM.....HHHHMMMMMM" Bonnie said stilled muffled.

"Anyway, that is when Max showed and was wondering about my Aipom arm from my back pack and why I was holding Bonnie with it. I explained it to him, one thing led to another, and we started talking about Pokémon and he wanted me to give some tips since he was a new beginning trainer" Clemont said.

That that point Bonnie got out of Clemont's grasp and was wiping her face.

"That wasn't very nice" Bonnie said sticking her tongue out at Clemont.

"If you told your version you would make me look like the bad guy" Clemont said. "So it was necessary"

"Well that was nice of you to....... Wait......Beginning trainer?... does that mean......" Ash said.

"Yep check this out" Max said as he got out three Pokéballs and threw them into the air releasing his pokemon. The first one he released was a Slakoth, the second one was Poochyena, and the last one was a Treecko. "I am officially a Pokémon trainer."

"That's awesome Max, Congregation" Ash said. "You got to tell me what you been up too."

"Only if you tell me what you been up too" Max said.

"You got it."

It was still that same evening but everyone decided to turn in for the night. Ash, Clemont, and Max got one room and decided to have a guy's night and talk about Pokémon and what they were up too.

While that was happening May, Dawn, Serena, and Bonnie got another room and like the guys decided to have a girl's night. Although they were also talking about Pokémon they were more interested in the...... 'Cuteness' of Pokémon. While there were talking they deviated from the topic and started to talk more about personal stuff and how they started their journey.

(Serena POV)

"So I left to go on my journey so I could get away from Rhyhorn racing" I said to May and Dawn. "Not that I have anything against it, it's just not for me. That was something my mom didn't understand until after I left."

"Wow I can relate" May said. "When I started I didn't have a plan, all I wanted to do was travel. It wasn't until I met Ash when that all change."

"So.... How did you two meet Ash?"

"When I started I was looking for professor Birch to get my starter but he was out of his lab when I arrived. When I finally found him he was with Ash dealing with some kind of trouble with his Pikachu and one thing led to another. In the end, I asked if I could travel with him because I didn't know about Pokémon and...... I wanted to make sure he pays me back for ruining my bike." May said.

"Wait.... He ruined your bike?"

"Yeah it was his Pikachu who electrocuted it but I knew it was kind of an accident on his part but I got over it eventually." May said.

"The funny thing is Pikachu did the same thing to my bike when I first met him" Dawn said. "But like May I also got over it." Dawn said.

"Hm.... yeah... I guess Ash would be a little reckless, even though it sounded like an accident." Bonnie said.

"Very true, anyways, I first met Ash on the first day of my journey. I first ran into his Pikachu since he and Ash got separated because of team rocket. They tried to capture Pikachu but Piplup and I stopped them and we wanted to help Pikachu find his trainer. We eventually did and from there we decided to travel together since he and Brook where experienced trainers and I was new." Dawn said.

"So... how did he ruin your bike?"

"I tried to catch his Pikachu when I thought it was a wild Pokémon and..... Well..... He found back and accidentally fried my bike with a thunderbolt. Dawn said. "But as I said, I'm over it."

"Yeah...sounds like Ash" Bonnie said.

"De..... ne..." Dedenne said nodding.

"So..... How did you meet Ash?" May asked. "I take it he didn't ruin your bike or something of that effect."

"No I didn't even take my bike" I said to May. "And as for how I met Ash..... Thing is..... We met a long time ago when we were both kids"

"Wait.... You met Ash before us?" Dawn asked.

"Yeah..... We were both campers at a Pokémon camp back in Pallet town a long time ago." I said. "And shortly after I started my journey I heard that Ash was here in Kalos and I went to find him. After I did I asked if I could travel with him and he said yes."

"So.... to be clear, you two were longtime friends as kids from a Pokémon camp and you decided you wanted to travel with him when you found out he was nearby," May ask a bit skeptical.

"Yeah........ That's why" I said. Though I could tell she was not completely buying it.

"Hmmm...... I don't mean to pry but why do I feel there is something you are not telling us" May said.

"Uh.... What do you mean?" I asked a bit nervous. "You don't believe me."

"It's not that I don't believe you Serena but....... I think there is more to that story than what you are leading on"

"Not to gang up on you but I was thinking the same thing" Dawn admitted. "Also I am just curious"

"I..... uhh..... well.... I ..... I don't know what else to tell you. We were close as kids and have been friends ever since." I said to them. "Dang, these girls are persistent, are they on to me?"

"Close huh....." May mused. "Tell me, how exactly did you and Ash meet at that camp"

"Ummm....... Why do you ask?"

"Because that's the part you are not telling us" Dawn said. "Spill it."

"They are not going to stop are they........" I thought.

"All right, you win. When I was at the camp I wandered off into the woods by myself and I got lost. As I was trying to find my way back I tripped and fell and ended up hurting my leg I couldn't move. Then all of a sudden a Poliwag jump out of the bushes and startled me. I went away but I was so scared I didn't know what to do and...... I started to cry." I said a bit embarrassed.

"No need to be embarrassed, we are not judging you," Dawn said.

"I would be scared too if I was a little girl in that sudation," May said. "Anyways what does that have to do with Ash?"

"I was getting to that. While I was crying Ash then showed up looking for that Poliwag and found me. He asked what was wrong and asked if I was ok. After I told him what happened he got out a handkerchief to wrap around my leg and helped me up. After that, he took me back to the camp and ever since we became great friends. Even after I went back to Kalos I remembered what he did and never forgot his kindness"

"AWWWW THAT SO CUTE" May squealed which made my face turn red.

"And this is why I didn't want to tell you."

"I'm not trying to make fun of you, really I'm not. I actually think it was sweet of Ash to do what he did."

"So I guess he really means a lot to you if you remember after all that time. Dawn said.

"Yeah, he is."

"He really is a great guy" Dawn said.

"Yeah, he is."

"No wonder you like him" May said.

"Yeah I............" I froze, did she just say what I thought she said. "WHAT WHAT?!?!"

"You heard me, you like Ash don't you" May said with a grin.

"WHAT.... I.... I MEAN..... I ...... I DIDN'T SAY THAT I........... Bonnie a little help here."

"Yeah..... She like Ash" she said. At that moment I went completely red, did she really just say that? "Sorry, Serena but they already figured it out, no point in hiding it."

"Bonnie you traitor!!!"

"So it true, isn't it." Dawn said. At that point, there was no hiding it and Bonnie literally just told them how I feel so I might as well come clean.

*Sigh* "Yeah, it true.......... I like Ash"

I waited for a reaction....... I thought they were going to go crazy with their reaction and girl out like some kind of fangirl and turn this into some kind of twenty question game or get me some kind of 'if you're going to date Ash here is what you need to do......' talk or something of that effect.

And unfortunately, I thought right.

"AWWW....... That's adorable. I'm so happy for you" May said.

"Hm.... To be honest, I was thinking that based on how you reacted when we met back in the lobby. I just didn't want to say anything back then." Dawn said. "You probably thought that one of us was his girlfriend and you got nervous. Don't worry, or not the first to think that."

"Wait............ WHAT?!?!?!" I said in shock. "You're..... Ok with it just like that?"

"Why wouldn't we be? It's not like we either if us are dating him or have a thing for him." Dawn said.

"Yeah.... I always thought of Ash as a mentor or a brother that doesn't drive me completely crazy" May said.

"Uhhhh.... Don't you already have a brother........?"

"Point is........" May interrupted. "You don't have to worry about us about Ash, in fact in rooting for you."

"Rooting for me?!?!"

"Yeah.... I take it Ash doesn't know" May said. "He may be great when it comes to Pokémon and battling but he is also dense in........ 'Other' subjects. So if I where you I would make a move before someone else does." She then leaned in close to my face with a very curious look. "So...... how are going to do it?"

"I......... uhh......." That this point I was very unconformable as I was fluttered and didn't know how to respond.

"Ok May, I think Serena had enough teasing for one night" Dawn said.

*Sigh* "Thanks Dawn." I said in relief.

"We'll continue this conversation sometime tomorrow once Serena has some time to sleep on it."

"And......... I spoke too soon." I thought.

So yeah..... this is the latest chapter. I was actually was going to make a longer chapter than this but by the time I would finish it would be way too long and I didn't want to have you guys wait too long.

So the Gang meets up with May, Dawn, and Max and with spend the rest of their time in Counarine city with each other. 

Next chapter, or should I say what was going to be this chapter before I decided to split it up,  will be the return of a character from Serena's pass and will make their debut in my story.  I wonder who it is *cough* its pretty obvious *cough*
