(Normal POV)

It was early in the morning on day two of professor Sycamore's summer camp and all of the campers where still in bed.

Well........ almost everyone.

Ash was up already doing some early trainer before the day started. He was out on the beach with his Pikachu on his shoulders training with his Froakie and his Hawlucha.

"Again!" he said. Froakie and Hawlucha came at each other again with Froakie using Cut while Halucha was using X-Scissor. They both collided might air for the 4th time already neither of them giving an inch. After almost nearly a minute Hawlucha was able to give it it's all one final push and was able to push through Cut and hit Froakie.

Hawlucha landed on his feet giving his victory pose while Froakie landed on his back but quickly gotten back on his feet.

"Good work you two" Ash said.

"Froak!!!"

"Cha!!!" he cheered.

"You getting there Froakie, with a little more practice you will be ready for the next gym" Ash said petting Froakie.

"Froak...." He said.

"Well well, looks like I'm not the only one who likes to get some early training done" someone said. Ash turned his head to see where the voice was coming from. Turns out it was from his new friend and potential l rival Tierno.

"Hey Tierno, I didn't know you would be up already" Ash said.

"Yeah well, I like seeing the sun rise in the morning" he said. "Plus it's nice to have the space for myself while everyone is still sleeping. That way I can work on some new dance moves and get some training in at the same time."

"I hear yeah" Ash said.

"Pika pi" Pikachu said agreeing.

"Anyways remember last night professor Sycamore said that there will be a surprise guest?"

"Yeah, from what I heard she is a professional trainer and is going to take part in an expedition match."

"She?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, I don't know who yet but I can tell she is strong and I can what to see her battle."

"Same here, anyways while you are here my Pokémon could use a sparring partner. Would you be interested?"

"You bet, get ready to see my moves" Tierno said.

After the training session Ash and Tierno went through they both returned to their cabins. They had already had breakfast and they were relaxing with their cabin mates and there Pokémon.

About an hour after they ate, they suddenly heard a voice on the speaker.

"Attention all campers, please report to the front of the battle area. All campers to the battle area" it said before it turned off.

"I wonder what that could be?" Bonnie asked.

"It must be the special guest professor Sycamore was talking about" Clemont said.

"Oh yeah" Bonnie said. "Any idea who he could be?"

"From what I heard from Tierno it is a 'she' and she is a powerful trainer" Ash said.

"Really! I can't wait to see" Serena said.

It was now noon and all of the campers where gathered and was seated as professor Sycamore and his staff stood at in the center. Ash and the group along with Shauna, Tierno, Trever, and Miette was sitting next to each other as they waited patiently waited for the professor to speak.

"Thank you all for coming for this special event" professor Sycamore said. "As you may recall from last night I said I would have a surprise guest come to the camp. Before I reveal who is it I would like to introduce a new friend of mine when is recently visited Shalour city. So without further delay, here he is, the mega evolution guru and the previous Shalour gym leader, my friend Gurkinn."

"Gurkinn!" Ash said shocked. A couple of seconds later an old man wearing his gray suit who Ash and the other immediately recognized. Surly enough it was Gurkinn who entered the area as he went over and shook hands with professor Sycamore before addressing the audience.

"Hello everyone, it is my privilege to be able to come today for you guys" he said. "As you heard from friend here, professor Sycamore, I am the former gym leader of Shalour city but now that position is fill by my granddaughter Korrina. But onto the reason I am here, as many of you know I am one of the few people that have discovered the secrets and wield the power of mega evolution. I have been asked the professor if I would be willing to participate in an expedition match with another trainer who also wields mega evolution."

"A battle between two mega evolved Pokémon!!!" Trevor said. "That is something I need to get a picture of"

"A battle like that does sounds interesting" Miette said. "I wonder how it will turn out?"

"Ok without further delay let's get to the battle" professor Sycamore said. Gurkinn then walked over to one side of the area as the professor got ready to introduce his opponent.

"Now it is time to introduce the special guest we have today" he said. "She took a lot of time out of her busy schedule to be here today so let's give a round of applauses to the trainer with both beauty and strength. Famous movie star and the champion of the Kalos regain the one and only Diantha!"

"DIANTHA!!!!" everyone in the crowd yelled in shock.

Yes it was Diantha, the one and only who stepped onto the other side of the area wearing her signature white movie star outfit. She was also accompanied by her manager as she was looking over at what appears to be a schedule book. The entire crowd was silent, but in awe, by what there where seeing. The actual champion of Kalos is right in front of them and she was going to take part in an exhibition match.

"Ok Diantha you are going to have to make this quick" her manager said. "If you can make this battle last for no more than 5 minutes that would be appreciated, remember we are on a schedule here."

"Oh relax Kathi" Diantha said calmly. "We don't have anything else scheduled today so there is no rush."

"What about the autograph signings and photos ops you promised to do after the battle" she said. "On top of that we are need in Lumiose City the next day. The sooner we are done the sooner we can be on the road."

"We will be fine, just relax and enjoy yourself."

Professor Sycamore then walked to the middle of the field as he started to referee.

"The battle between champion Diantha and former gym leader Gurkinn is about to begin" he said. "Each trainer will use one Pokémon each, the battle will be over when one side's Pokémon is unable to battle. Are the trainers ready?"

"Of course" Gurkinn said. Diantha just nodded to show she was ready.

"Alright battle begin"

"Get ready Lucario" Gurkinn said as he released his Lucario as it then got into a battle stance.

"I need you Gardevoir" Diantha said as she released her Pokémon as she just appeared and gotten into a graceful pose.

"This is going to be intense" Tierno said.

"I hope Diantha mega evolves her Gardevoir, it looks so beautiful when she does" Shauna said.

"Alright Lucario lets start off with Aura Sphere" Gurkinn said. Lucario started to charge a ball of aura in his paws. As soon as it was ready he fired it from his paws and it wen t straight towards Gardevoir.

Diantha didn't say anything, instead she made eye contact with Gardevoir and nodded. Gardevoir nodded back and jumped up and over the Aura Sphere with grace and landed without showing any effort.

"Woe.... Did you see that?" Tierno said.

"We all saw that Tierno" Trevor said. "What I am waiting for is for her to mega evolve her Gardevoir, I need to get a picture of that."

"That's implying if she even needs too" Miette said.

"Hmmm...... I shouldn't expect any less from you Diantha" Gurkinn said. "Let's see how you deal with up close attacks, Lucario Bone Rush"

Lucario then formed a giant bone shape club in his paws and sprinted straight towards Gardevoir. Again Diantha said nothing but tilted her to the right and Gardevoir soon followed. Gardevoir moved aside to the right to completely dodge the attack. Lucario tried to keep up the pressure as he continued to use Bone Rush and tried to land a hit. But it was no use, Gardevoir kelp moving towards the directions given by her trainer and kelp dodge each and every one of Lucario's attacks.

"Lucario can't land a single hit" Clemont said.

"This is the champion we are talking about" Serena said. "I wonder if she is going to do a one hit KO like last time."

"Last time?" Shauna asked.

"Yeah...... we met her in person before and seen her battle"

"WHAT!?!?!?" Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, and Miette said. "HOW?!?!"

"Ask Ash" Serena said as she turned to Ash remembering it was all because of him.

"I see attacking is not getting anywhere, but how will you counter this, use Medal Sound" Gurkinn yelled.

Lucario then rubbed his paws together and released a sonic wave towards Gardevoir.

"Avoid it" Diantha said. This time, instead of trying to dodge it, Gardevoir quickly used teleport and teleported out of the way of the Medal Sound and reappeared a couple of yards behind Lucario.

"Hmmmmmm....... Now I think I held back long enough" Gurkinn said. "Why don't we show everyone our true power."

"You don't mean.........." Diantha started.

"I do" he finished as he got out his key stone. "Lets the real battle begin."

He then activated his key stone as it gave off a blinding light as it started to connect with the mega stone on Lucario's wrist. The light then engulfed Lucario as he started to change form and gain his temporary power. Then the light faded there stood Gurkinn's newly mega evolved Lucario.

"AMAZING" Trevor said taking a quick picture of Lucario.

"You actually did it" Diantha said. "Then I suppose I will not feel guilty doing the same."

Diantha then touch her key stone that was wrapped around her neck as it also gave off a blinding light.

"Here it comes" Trevor said exited to see the Gardevoir mega evolve. The light from her neckless connected with Gardevoir's mega stone around her neck as Gardevoir aslo got engulfed in the light. When it faded it revealed Gardevoir in her mega form, it almost looks like she was wearing a ballroom gown.

"Again...... AMAZING!!!" Trevor said taking another picture.

"So that's what mega Gardevoir looks like" Ash said. H was comparing the mega appearance between Diantha's Gardevoir and Lucas's Gallade. In retrospect they match their mega form perfectly.

"Now let's try this again, Aura Sphere" Gurkinn said. Lucario one again charged up a sphere of aura in his paws, but this time it charged twice as fast and was twice as big than last time. He then fired it again towards Gardevoir but he shot it like a bullet when he released it.

"Psychic" Diantha said. Instead of trying to dodge it Gardevoir used her psychic abilities to not only stop the attack but completely caught the aura sphere.

"Woe..... can she really do that?" Bonnie asked.

"In her normal form probably not. But in her mega form she could so just about anything" Clemont said.

"Sent it back" Diantha said. Gardevoir then make a motion with her arms towards Lucario and sent the Aura Sphere right back at him.

"Extreme Speed" Gurkinn said. Lucario then started to sprint from his position away from the his own attack. He was moving so fast that it looked like he vanished into thin air and completely dodged the attack.

"Woe.... Where did he go?" Trevor asked.

"Now attack" he said. Lucario all of sudden reappeared right behind Gardevoir as he then struck Gardevoir in the back.

"Garrrr....." she said as she was pushed forward from behind.

"He actually landed a hit" Clemont said. "That is very difficult to do, especially to a champion."

"Impressive, it is not easy to land a hit on my Gardevoir" Diantha said. "But that will be the last attack you will land on her. Use Shadow Ball."

Gardevoir charged up another Shadow Ball in her arms and shot it towards Lucario.

"Extreme Speed again" he said. Lucario started to sprint again and looked as those he vanished and avoided the attack.

"Attack" he said.

"Not this time" Diantha thought. She then nodded her head at Gardevoir as Gardevoir returned the look. As soon as Lucario reappeared to attack Gardevoir turned towards him and stopped him in its tracks using Psychic.

"WHAT?!?!" Gurkinn said.

"Sent it flying" she said. Gardevoir lifted Lucario high in the air using her psychic abilities and sent it back a good distance from herself.

"Lucario can you continue?" he asked. Lucario was trying to get on his feet but Diantha was not going to let that happen.

"Moon Blast"

And with that Gardevoir instantly shot a beam of fairy energy a Lucario and caused a huge explosion.

"Lucario!!!"

When the dust cleared it revealed Lucario lying on his back with swirly eyes as he reverted to his normal form.

"Lucario is unable to battle, the winner is Diantha the champion" professor Sycamore said.

Diantha gave a satisfied smile as Gardevoir returned to her normal form before being returned to her pokemon.

"Thank you Gardevoir" Diantha said to her Pokéball. Gurkinn then returned his Lucario as he started deeply at the his Pokéball.

"You battled well my old friend, that's all I can ask for" he said. He then look up at Diantha who was giving him a smile from the battle. "I expected nothing less from a you Diantha, I see now how you still have you title."

"Thanks very kind of you so say" she said. "Thanks again for the great battle."

And with that she walked away with her manager Kathi close behind.

"Next time could you try and not toy with your opponent when you battle, it could have ended faster if you battle seriously" Kathi said.

*Sigh* "I told you, if I did that it wouldn't be an enjoyable battle" she said. "Besides I wanted him to have somewhat a fighting chance."

*Sigh* "Don't take this the wrong way but sometimes I wonder how you are still champion with that kind of thinking."

It has been a couple of hours since the battle between Diantha andk Gurkinn ended and all the campers has been dispersed. Ash and the group, along with team Squirtle and Miette, where in the lounge area of the Pokémon Center and they were still talking about the battle they saw between the two mega evolved Pokémon.

"I still can't believe he was able to land a least one hit" Tierno said. "I get he used to be a gym leader but still... that's almost impossible to do to a champion's pokemon."

"I can't believe I got great action shot of Mega Gardevoir" Trevor said. "Pictures like these are so rare"

*Sigh* "Some guys get so excited over the simplest things" Miette said. "I get it was the champion and

I'm a fan too but can you guys just calm down a bit?"

Both Tierno and Trevor sweat dropped.

"I guess so........" Tierno said sheepishly.

"There is one thing I don't get that happened" Clemont said. "How come Moon Blast was able to finish off Lucario like that"

"What do you mean?" Shauna asked.

"Moon Blast was a fairy type move and Lucario is part steel type. I understand he was battling against Gardevoir but I honestlu belieaved he could at least survived that attack since he didn't get hit by any other attack."

"There was Psychic" Ash said.

"I guess.... But was that really enough to do it?" he asked.

"It was because he was too tired to continue so Moon Blast just finished the job" someone said. Everyone then turned their heads to see who said that. Their eyes widen, to their surprise, when they saw the person who said that. It happened to be the very person they were talking about.

"Diantha!" they exclaimed. She lightly chuckled from there excitement as she is used to it when fans meet her in person.

"Hello there, I had some time before I have to leave for Lumiose City so I decided to take a walk around the camp. I just happened to come across your conversation about my earlier battle and I just wanted to clarify what happened" she said. "I hope I am not intruding."

"Oh no.... not at all" Clemont said. "We were just impressed by how you........."

"OMG DIANTHA, I am a HUGE FAN" Shauna shouted interrupting Clemont. "I have seen all your movie and watched all your battles and they were all amazing."

"The way you battle with Gardevoir and how you can communicate with her without even talking, AMAZING!!!" Tierno said with star eyes.

"Why thank you" she said. "By the way, Ash I hear that you beat Korrina and her mega Lucario from Gurkinn, congratulations by the way. He also told me you also able to mega evolve, is that true?"

"Yes it's true" he said. He then took out the mega stone he use to mega evolve Charizard and showed it to Diantha and the others.

"Impressive" Diantha said.

"You can mega evolve too!!!" Trevor said shocked. "What else are you not telling us?"

"I...... uh......"

"Ok guys that enough" Serena said. "In retrospect you really shouldn't be surprise about what Ash had done."

Trevor and Tierno then sweatdropped. "Right"

"Hey Ash can you show us" Miette asked. "I would love to see you mega evolve your Charizard."

"Well..... the thing is I can't anymore."

"Huh? Why not" Shaunna asked.

"I don't have a key stone to do it?"

"Do don't? "Then how come you were able to when you battled against Korrina?" Dianth asked.

"About that...." That is when Ash came to a realization, He needed to tell her what happen back in Shalour City.

But first.....

"Trevor, Tierno, Shaunna, Miette, could you give us a minute?" Ash asked.

"Huh?.... what for?" Miette said.

"It's something only Diantha should hear" he said. They four of them looked at each other in confusion but then nodded in agreement. If it is something only for Diantha then it should be ok. The four of them got up and exited the room leaving only Ash, Serena, Bonnie, Clemont, and Diantha in the room.

"Why did you asked them to leave?" Diantha asked.

"It's about your brother." Ash said. That quickly got Diantha attention.

"You...... you saw Lucas?!?!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah... and I know you don't want many people to know so that is why I asked them to leave" he said.

"Right...." she said. "Anyways..... How is he? Is he ok?"

"Yeah he's fine" Ash said. "I actually owe my gym battle victory to him, he let me borrow his key stone for the battle and helped me train for it."

"That's sounds like him" Diantha said. "Did you by any chance give him my message."

"Well........" Clemont started. "We did, but we got an answer that we were not expecting."

"He said he was busy and didn't want to see you yet?" Serena said.

Diantha puesed from what she heard. "He.... He said that?"

"Yeah...... he acted like a jerk about it" Bonnie said. "What's that about?"

*Sigh* "I suppose that is my fault"

"What?" they said. "How is it your fault? He was the one who acted like........."

"It's my fault he left in the first place" Diantha said cutting them off.

"What do you mean?" Clemont asked.

*Sigh* "Let's just say I said some things I retreated and we didn't part on good terms."

"Can you tell us what happened?" Serena asked.

"Well....... It all happened right after I became champion" she said. "Everything was fine until Lucas was approached by a man who........."

"Diantha!!!" someone said. "There *pant* you are!"

Everyone turned to see who said that. When they did it revealed that Kathi was panting, but standing, by the entrance of the door. "I been *pant* looking for you *pant* everywere."

"Kathi I told you I was going for a walk" Diantha said.

"You said you *pant* would be back in 10 minutes. That was *pant* an hour ago" she said inbetween pants. "You know we have to be on our way to Lumiose City before dark. We need to go now."

*Sigh* "I suppose so" Diantha said. "I'm sorry guys but duty calls."

"Awww....... Do you have to go now" Bonnie complained.

"Bonnie, Diantha is the champion of Kalos. She has a very busy schedule to keep you know" Clemont said.

"Too busy if you ask me" Dianth said glaring at Kathi who just sweat dropped in response. "Anyways I have to go, good luck on the rest of your journey."

Diantha got up and walking over towards Kathi, before she left the room Ash stopped her.

"Wait.... Who was the guy you were talking about?"

"Hmmmm" she said. "I don't know much about the man but I think he name was Lysandre, anyways got to go."

And with that she left with Kathi right behind her and left the building into her limo.

"Lysandre....." Clemont said. "That name sounds fimilier."

"How so?" Ash said.

"I heard that name before but I can't remember from where." He said.

"I wonder what that made things so bad between them" Serena said.

"I guess that's something we need to ask Lucas if we ever run into him again" Ash said.

"Know you Ash, he is more likely to run into you then us" Clemont said.

"Eeh eeh..... I guess" Ash said chulkeling a bit. The four then saw it was getting late and decided to head back to their cabin. When they exited the room they saw Tierno and the others with their ears against the wall.

"Guys?" Clemont said. As soon he said that they quickly took their heads away from the wall but ended up tripping on each other and fell to one big pile. "Are your guys O........."

"We weren't ease dropping!!!" Tierno said fast.

"We know nothing!!!" Trevor said.

There was an award silence for about 10 seconds until someone spoke up. 

"OK?............" Ash said a bit weirded out. "Anyways Diantha just left and we are heading back to our cabin now."

"Ok see you guys in the morning."

With that Ash and the others left the building leaving Tierno, Trevor, Shauna, and Miette in the room. When the coast was clear both Shauna and Miette slapped the boys on the back of their heads in frustration.

"Owww" Trevor said.

"What was that for?" Tierno asked.

"We know nothing? We weren't ease dropping?......... Really?" Miette said a bit annoyed. "Can you be any more obvious?"

"Uhh......." The boys sweat dropped.

"Sometimes you guys can be total block heads" Shuana said.

*Sigh* "We know" they said in union.

37 chapters down and....... well......... to be honest I didn't think I would make it this far.

Any ways I know it was a looooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg times since I updated but that is because I get side track, I'm busy with other stuff, or........... I'm just lazy.

Like I said, Still going to write this story even after XY&Z ends so stay turned for that.

You now know a little history between Diantha and Lucas but I promise their will be more details in the future. When you may ask?.............. I don't know.
