It's a literal war to get up there. They all have similar pokemon, hinting at the Cult Leader's team. So fight as much as possible so you are familiar with the fighting style before you reach the top.

Cult Leader: "Oh look. A bunch of weaklings fighting my Dojo! Guards!"

You'll get thrown into 5 back to back battles. They have slightly bigger pokemon, so just keep pushing. Then the leader. With the biggest pokemon and ego, You will have to push through without trickery. Literally, hit him with everything you got. Mika, Tika and the trio Earth Kingdom Member can take hits left and right. Skylar, Cinna, Abby, and Olivia can hit without getting any recoil. Alena can keep your team alive and guarded. And your team should be the power behind the others. Once done, he'll say nothing, but give you his signature.
