It had been a few days since the Strawhats left Thriller Bark, but right now, the crew had encountered a problem.........

While they did not really run out of food thanks to Yukiko, they were out of meat.

And a Luffy with no meat is not a good thing.

"Yukiko....are you sure you can't make any meat?" Luffy asked.

"Sorry, no."

Then Robin spotted an island to their relief.

To get supplies, those that decided to go were Luffy, Yukiko, Pachi, Chopper, Sanji and Nami.

Yukiko decided to bring Blaise, Atlas, Grimm, Shojo and Nectarine.

Cuttting their way through the forest, it felt like a southern island although Yukiko didn't feel affected.

"Arrr, where is the food?" Luffy groaned.

"I thought we could find a town to shop but I guess that was naive. I don't think there's a single person here." Nami said.

" I'm guessing the island is uninhabited.  Nami say close to me. You don't know what could pop out." Sanji said.

"Eh?! Pop out?! I knew I should've stayed on the Sunny." Chopper groaned.

Suddenly, a loud yell from Luffy grabs their attention.

Rushing to see an unbelievable sight...

"What the..." Yukiko gasped.

"Pachi!?"

"MEAT!" Luffy hollared as he threw his hands into the air.

They were all seeing a bunch of trees that had meat in place of leaves.

"A tree that bears meat?" Sanji said in disbelief.

"Yum! It tastes like meat!" Luffy said in happiness. "Here Yukiko, you gotta try this!" He said giving her a bite.

"Wow! It's even perfectly seasoned!" Yukiko said amazed.

Pachi and Chopper found mushrooms that were made of cotton Candy, and Sanji found a plant that composed of pasta!

"I guess we won't have trouble will food supplies." Yukiko smiled.

But before they knew it, Chopper was examining a plant and then caught by a rather large man with blue hair and a orange jumpsuit.

"Toriko-San! Don't leave me behind!" A smaller man with black hair and a white wolf follows after.

"Hey, Komatsu, I found a rare animal." The larger animal said.

"This island is incredible. There are even strange creatutes here." The shorter make said.

"Do you think you can cook this?" Toriko said while drooling making the creature freak out.

"HEY! LET GO OF CHOPPER!" Luffy yelled as Yukiko blasted a Crystal Beam, Pachi shot a thunderbolt, and Luffy stretched his arm for a punch.

"His arm stretched! And did that squirrel shoot out lightning and she shot a beam?!" The smaller man exclaimed.

"What is with this guy?!" The larger man yelled as he fended off the man's punches with one of his hands while he carried the creature with his other arm. Then Luffy spun around bringing his leg up in order to kick his opponent, only for him to stop his leg.

"What are you trying to do with Chopper?!" Yukiko shouted.

"Huh? I found this guy. So he's my prey." Toriko said

"Eh? Prey? You're really going to eat me!" Chopper yelled.

"Yep." Toriko said unfazed

"But I dont taste good! Im amazingly disgusting!" Chopper said in panic.

"Really! I guess there's no point, if you taste bad." The blue-haired pondered and then looked back at the creature. "YOU TALKED?! How is that possible!"

"Hey! Chopper is part of my crew! You can't eat him!" Luffy screamed at Toriko.

GROWL!

"What's that?" Nami said as large creatures started to step out of the woods. Her eyes widened as she saw gigantic large boars with steam coming out of their backs that were currently glowing as if it were charcoal.

"Something smells tasty. What is it?" Luffy started to drool

"We must have invaded their territory." Toriko set Chopper on the ground. "The Barbecue Pigs."

"WOW! Walking grilled meat!" Luffy screamed with stars with in his eyes

"These guys get fired up, whenever somebody gets into their territory. These guys look pretty steamed." Toriko said

"What?! Their bodies are already steaming!" Nami said.

"They usually feed on herbs and ghost truffles, so their meat is delicious. Their Capture Level is one." Komatsu said.

"Capture Level 1?" Yukiko asked.

"It's the system the IGO created to categorize the difficulty to capture an ingredient. The first level means that it takes ten professional hunters to capture it. Toriko-san can handle a level one beast easy, but I don't know if he can handle this many at once." Komatsu explained and Yukiko looked over at Toriko and Luffy who were drooling at the site of the pigs.

" I guess they'll be fine."

"Barbecue Pigs," the blonde man said and then cracked his knuckles, "Food cooking itself. That's an insult to a chef."

"That's what you're angry about?!" Nami exclaimed.

"Itadakimasu," Toriko clapped his hands together and then charged at the pigs with Luffy following right after him. Yukiko nodded at Pachi who tackled the pigs with Iron Tail. Yukiko then winced as a bitter smell met her nose.

"They're burning." She said as everyone started to smell the burning odor.

"Don't aggravate them! The more you do, the more their meat burns. You got to make sure to end it quickly" Toriko warned them as he punched a pig head on, knocking it out.

"I got just the one to help. Blaise!" Yukiko said taking her Charizard out.

"Knock out these pigs with Solar Beam!"

Blaise nodded and due to the bright sun, he charged up quickly.

Yukiko also used Crystal attacks to help her Pokémon.

While Komatsu was explaining to Chopper, Nami and Sanji about Toriko, the man in question knocked out another pig, he then saw Luffy's arm retract back to normal size and Yukiko shooting a crystal blast. "Hey, I've been wondering. Why is your body so stretchy? And how can she do those beams and command those creatures."

"I ate the Gum Gum Fruit. It made me a rubber human. And Yukiko's my girlfriend. She's a Pokémon Trainer and she ate the Crystal Crystal Fruit,  she's a crystal human." Luffy explained as he stretched his arm to punch another pig.

"Gum Gum Fruit? Crystal Crystal Fruit? Was it tasty?" Toriko punched a pig.

"No, it those were Devil fruits. They're really disgusting." Luffy punched a pig.

"Huh, they're that bad?" Toriko stopped a pig that was heading towards him.

"Yeah." Luffy also stopped a pig that heading towards him.

"Well, that sucks!" Toriko punched the pig

"Yup!" Luffy punched his pig.

"Well, I guess the taste is the least of our worries." the blonde man muttered as he started to smoke his cigarette.

"Itadakimasu!" the entire group said before the group chowed down on the cut pieces of Barbecue Pig.

Yukiko had the rest of her Pokémon out although Pachi and Nectarine ate fruits that they found instead.

"This is great!" Luffy said while devouring his piece of meat

"Barbecue Pigs, the sweet, top-grade fat dripping from the meat. The appetizing fragrance of the herbs, that it's eaten. It's superb." Toriko said as he ate.

"It's thanks to you that we got to eat food this delicious, Toriko!" Luffy said as Yukiko grabbed another piece.

"So your name's Terry Cloth? I'm Chopper, nice to meet you," Chopper laughed as Terry licked his cheek.

"Terry trusts you. That's interesting," Toriko continued to chew on his meat, "She's a Battlewolf, She almost never trusts strangers. Sorry I tried to eat you before."

"It's fine. I get to be friends with her, anyway." Chopper said.

"I got to ask, Luffy said you were a Pokémon Trainer, but what are Pokémon?" Toriko asked.

"Pokémon, short for Pocket Monsters, they are mysterious creatures with mysterious abilities. Some Pokémon live alongside humans and some live in the wild in such as grassy fields, caves, or the sea, but much about their ecology that remains unknown. One of their main features is that they can be caught using a Poké Ball, which allows them to be carried around." Yukiko explained as she pet Pachi.

"Still I never expected to be attacked by roasted pigs," Nami said, "Just how surreal is this island?"

"That's because this is Hungry-la Island. " Komatsu said.

"Hungry-la Island?" Nami repeated

"Hungry-la Island is said to be abundant in all kinds of ingredients. Until now, people thought it was a legend," Komatsu said.

"That's where we are? How did you find this tiny island in the huge sea?" Nami asked.

"We were sailing along, when I caught the scent of tasty food. That's when I found it." Toriko explained before shoving more meat into his mouth.

"Just what kind of nose do you have?!" Nami exclaimed

~NAMI-SWAN! YUKI-CHWAN~ I prepared a special Barbecue Pig for you two~" Sanji sang as he presented a two servings towards them. "The best part is my special sauce, made from the ingredients of the forest. The elegant aroma brings out the Barbecue Pig's flavor-" he was cut off as Luffy's hand stretched and took Nami's portion.

Luffy said a quick thanks before taking a bite of it into his mouth. But he did give the other half to Yukiko as she let Luffy feed her.

"LUFFY! I made that for Nami-san and Yuki-ch-" he paused as Toriko took the other serving he was carrying and ate it.

"Man that's delicious!" Toriko said while munching on the meat.

"Why did you guys have to eat it?!" Sanji yelled.

"Excuse me," Komatsu swiped a bit of the sauce that was on the plate and tasted it. "That's delicious! It's so impressive that you can make something like that from ingredients that you just found."

Sanji smiled, "When you compliment me like that, it's embarrassing."

"The faint aroma and the acidity of the citrus is amazing," Komatsu contemplated, "Oh, I know. You made this with Surprise Orange juice, right?"

"You can tell?"

"Yeah, Im a chef myself," Komatsu told him making Sanji surprised.

'I only added a drop of the Surprise Orange juice, yet she was able to figure out what it was just from one tasting. What exactly is with his sense of taste?'Sanji thought

"Um, Sanji-san, I'm a bit embarrassed to ask after just tasting that sauce, but can you try this," he presented him with a small bowl of his own sauce for him to try.

"Sure," Sanji took a taste for himself

'Delicious!' He thought, 'The full-bodied flavor, the perfect amount of salt!'

"Since we got food, let's go back to the Thousand Sunny," Nami then noticed of only the skeletons of the Barbecue Pigs remained, "Hey! Where's all the food?!" She then took notice of Toriko and Luffy's enlarged bellies.

"That was good." Luffy said.

"You didn't have to eat all of them! Yukiko! Why didnt you stop him?!" Nami scolded

"Thanks for the meal" Toriko said as he clapped his hands together.

"Man! I was gonna take that food back to the ship!" Nami yelled at Luffy who was showing no signs of feeling guilty.

"What's the problem, there's tons of food here." Luffy replied.

"If you need food, I know just the thing. The Hungry-la Bird." Toriko smirked.

"Hungry-la Bird?" Luffy asked as the group walked through the forest and Yukiko returned the rest of her Pokémon.

"Yup, that's one of the reasons why we are here. It's a legendary ingredient," Toriko said, "Although there's no guarantee that you'll make it out alive. But the meat dissolves once it hits your tongue, and its rich sweetness and indescribable aroma are world-famous."

"It's complex and full of variety, the flavor that captivates all who eat it and never lets them go, gave birth to the saying "all flavors lead to Hungry-la,"" Komatsu informed the group, "They say one person who ate it once and couldn't forget its flavor found himself swimming across the ocean to look for this island."

"Hungry-la Bird," Luffy started to drool, "Sounds delicious."

"Yeah, just the thought of it," Toriko and Luffy looked at each other, "Makes me hungry!" Then just like magic both of their enlarged stomachs shrunk and then started to growl in hunger.

"What kind of stomachs do you guys have?!" Nami yelled at them.

"That's what I often wonder." Yukiko smiled.

"Pachi..." Pachi shook her head.

"That legendary Hungry-la Bird, just might be worthy of my Full Course Meal." Toriko grinned.

"Full Course?" Sanji asked

"Toriko-san is working on his life's Full Course Meal, from hors d'oeuvre to dessert." Komatsu explained.

"I want to eat Toriko's Full Course!" Luffy drooled

"I haven't figured most of it out yet, though."

"But how do you know the Hungry-la Bird is at the top of the mountain?" Chopper asked.

"Look. Plants on Hungry-la Island grow very quickly" Toriko pointed at a mountain in the distance, "But there's not a single blade of grass on the mountaintop. That means something with an appetite big enough to eat the plants before they can grow, the legendary Hungry-la Bird, must be there."

"I get it," Nami said at Toriko's reasoning.

GROWL!

"Pachi!" Pachi's bristled.

Toriko and Luffy went ahead of the group only to be confronted by a group of huge bears with horns on their heads.

"What are those guys?" Chopper asked that was when a shadow covered Chopper, he looked behind and then screamed as he saw that one of them had gotten behind them. Chopper shivered in fear as the each of the bears were easily the size of a building.

"Uni-horn Bears." Toriko answered

:You want a fight!" before Luffy could lift his arm, Toriko grabbed his fist.

"Don't bother. Their meat is tough and not worth eating," Toriko said making Luffy give a confused look, "So, we run!" Toriko sprinted past the beasts alarming the group.

"Huh?" they said as they followed after Toriko.

"Hey! Why don't you just take them all out like you did earlier!" Nami yelled as she was sitting on Chopper's back.

"I don't take the lives of anything I don't eat, that's my rule!"

"Is that so." Luffy grinned, "Then we better run with all our might!"

Suddenly.....

SCREECH!

The group stopped at the sound only for a large gust of wind started to lift Chopper and Nami from the ground, as well as some of the Uni-horn Bears.

"Chopper! Nami!" Luffy grabbed onto a tree and then stretched his arm to grab his two friends.

Yukiko got help from Grimm who came out to help.

"Is that.."

"What is that?" Luffy asked. They all looked up to see a quadruped bird with white feathers outlining it's dark feathers. With a small bundle of red feathers resting on the crest above the bird's beak.

"This intimidating presence, no doubt, its the Hungry-la Bird!" Toriko yelled

SCREECH!"

The group tried to stand their ground only for the bird to swoop down and tried to grab Toriko with one of its claws. Toriko in return held on to the claw and stood his ground, then he threw the bird onto the ground. The bird then gave a cry then switched to a different target, the target being Sanji.

"Why you!" Sanji jumped up and delivered a spin kick to the bird's throat only for the bird to knock him away.

"GUM GUM PISTOL!" Luffy threw a punch at the bird only for it to bounce off with a clang. "That thing's hard!"

"It's like it's wearing steel armor!" Sanji said making the bird land in front of them and then started to peck at them with its beak.

"This guy sure is fast for wearing steel armor!" Luffy yelled, then the bird took off into the air creating gusts of wind making the guys stick to the ground as to not get blown away from the wind.

"It's hard to take that thing down, because those feather cover its entire body." Toriko exclaimed, "But the fact that it's covered so well with such tough armor means the meat hidden inside is tender and delicious. Still with that guy flying around, we can't land a hit on it."

"So all we need is to bring it to the ground." Luffy grinned.

"I can help with that. Grimm, sap its strength with Chilling Water!" Yukiko yelled as her Grimmsnarl nodded.

Grimm attacked by showering the Hungry-la Bird with water that's so cold it saps the bird's power. The bird suddenly lowered to the ground.

"Now, Thunder Punch!" Grimm attacked with his fist covered in lightning hitting the bird directly and static covered its body.

"Alright! Toriko, now finish it!" Yukiko yelled.

"Thanks." Toriko said as he got ready.

CLANG! CLANG! CLAP!

"A metallic sound." Nami said.

"I give thanks to all of the ingredients of the world. ITADAKIMASU!"

A red aura surrounded Toriko, the group's eyes widened as they saw a red oni appear from the red aura.

"FORK!" he aimed the attack at the bird's throat, "KNIFE!" He slashed at the bird's stomach.

"GOCHISOUSAMADESHITA!" he clapped his hands together as the Hungry-la Bird fell behind him. The group looked at him in awe as they saw that he had completely beaten the bird.

Yukiko and her friends were all enjoying the meal as night fell.

However........

Nami and Komatsu disappeared!
