As the overview of Viridian City came into sight of the group, the voice of Officer Jenny caught their attention as she announced over the city intercom.
"Attention all citizens of Viridian City! Attention all citizens of Viridian City! Members of the criminal organization Team Rocket have been spotted, and people are advised to keep their Pokemon in their pokeballs and report any suspicious characters! Please keep your Pokemon inside their Pokeball and report any suspicious characters!"
"Team Rocket?" Ben questioned.
("What Team Rocket?") Milo asked, just as confused as Ben.
("You boys know nothing.")
"No need to be sassy, Bubbles. Team Rocket are Pokemon thieves here in Kanto. There talked about this on the news, but it is not surprising you don't know as you don't watch the news, and you haven't seen the world like I have to see criminals," Sophia stated and grabbed her little brother's hand with the other one still holding Growlithe.
("Kid, you need to stop living in the past. Don't you ever get exhausted from it?")
"Wait! Halt!" Officer Jenny demanded as she stepped in from the siblings seeing the two pokemon and the injured one in Sophia's arm.
"Is there something the matter? Sophia questioned, backing up a bit from officer Jenny, who was too close for her comforter.
"Yes, may I see some identification?" Officer Jenny asked.
"Sure," Sophia pulled out her pokedex over Officer Jenny.
Been taken on out his trainer card that Professor Oak made for him, just in case he ever got into a situation like this.
"Thank you," Officer Jenny replied as she took a look at Ben's trainer card first.
Name: Ben Jade Ketchum
Age: 7
Gender: Male
Birthday: August 15th
Hometown: Pallet Town
Region: Kanto
She looked to the left and saw his picture next to pokeballs on the cards showing Meowth was confirmed as his Pokemon.
Officer Jenny nodded and gave back Ben's trainer card before she took a look at Sophia's pokedex.
"I am Dextette, a pokedex programmed by Professor Oak for Pokemon trainer Sophia Ketchum of Pallet Town. I provide Sophia with information and advice regarding Pokemon and their training. If I'm lost or stolen, I can't be replaced." The Pokedex with a mechanical female voice said as it showed a picture of Sophia and her registered Pokemon.
Officer Jenny nodded."Okay, you are in the clear. Sorry about that, but there been sightings of Pokemon thieves from Team Rocket on the loose somewhere in this area, and you look suspicious with the pokemon out of their Pokeball," She explained.
"I understand, officer. To answer your question, my Jigglypuff, Bubbles, prefers to spend her time out of her Pokeball with me. Milo the Meowth has issues with pokeballs. And this Growlithe is still wild. I found him being attacked by a flock of Spearow. I'm taking him to the Pokemon Center to make sure he doesn't have to serious injuries."
("Of course, it's safer if I'm out here with you, my dear Sophia.")
("You can't blame me pokeballs give me a bad feeling being in there.")
"Well then, your free to go but be careful of Team Rocket," Officer Jenny advised.
"We will, officer Jenny!" Ben smiled.
"Don't worry, Growlithe, you're going to be okay after a nice checkup," Sophia said, looking down at Growlithe as she and the others walked passed, Officer Jenny.
("Trust her. She won't let anything happen to you, little guy.") Bubbles said softly.
("Okay.") Growlithe whimpered.
Sophia grabbed her brother's hand as they continued walking towards the Pokemon Center.

Upon reaching the Pokemon, Sophia, and Ben, we're greeted by a woman at the front counter; she had pink hair in two large loops with blue eyes wearing a pink dress with a white apron over the top, a white nurse hat with a red cross on the front and white buckled shoes.
The woman was Nurse Joy, one of the many nurses of the Pokemon Center throughout the region.
"Welcome to the Pokemon Center," Nurse Joy greeted with a friendly smile."How may I help you?" She asked.
"Yes, we like to have these three checked," Sophia said, nodding at Bubbles and Milo while holding out the Growlithe in her arms still.
"Of course, right away," Nurse Joy said, placing a button on her desk.
A few minutes later, a pink ovoid-like Pokemon with a nurse hat on its head came out from the back room, pushing a cart with several indentations for pokeballs and a padded seat for small Pokemon to sit.
"A Chansey," Sophia said, scanning the nurse helper Pokemon with her Pokedex.
[Chansey, the Egg Pokemon. A normal type.A rare and elusive Pokemon that is said to bring happiness to those who manage to get it. Chansey is a kind Pokemon who shares's eggs with those who are sick or injured.]
Sophia nodded as she put away her pokedex.
("Please place your Pokemon and pokeballs here." Chansey pointed to the stretcher.
"Alright, Bubbles, keep Growlithe company during the check-up. Milo, just stay out of trouble," Sophia said.
("You can count on me to keep him in line and keep this fellow company.)
"I know I can now while you four are getting looked at," Sophia said, placing Golden Pokeball on the stretcher."Im going to stock up on supplies and make a few phone calls."
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Yes! My sister and I want a room for tonight!" Ben said.
"I can do that for you," Nurse Joy said, checking the available rooms and heading to the older, slibing a key with No.9 on it."Here you go; number 9 is down the hall. Have a good evening."
"Thank you," Sophia said quickly as she said her younger brother walked on off.

It was now sunset as Sophia finished stocking up on supplies she would need before setting off for the next destination in her journey. So as she and Ben arrive back at the Pokemon Center, they decide to call their mom.
"Hello, this is the Ketchum Residents," Delia's voice came from the other side of the line.
"Hello, mom," Ben said happily.
"Ohh," Delia said as her image came onto the screen."Hi sweetie, hi princess. Is everything alright? Where are you two now?" She asked.
"The Pokemon Center in Viridian City," Sophia replied.
"You already made it to Viraidan City; it took your father two days when he started his journey."
Sophia frowned. Please don't get her wrong; she doesn't hate her adopted father, but the two of them didn't get along that way, and ever since been way, she sometimes can't help but think it is because of her.
"I see."
"Hey, don't be that way. He loves you just as much as me. He was a bit upset we couldn't have our own kid, but he was happy taking you both in," She smiled."Now how was the journey? Did you catch anything?" She asked.
"Well yeah, actually, I caught a Goldeen, and hopefully, the young Growlithe I helped from an angry folk."
"That's my girl! You can do anything when you put your mind to it. I have to get going now, you too, be careful and take care of each other."
"Yes, mom/mother," The siblings said.
"I love you two."
"Love you too."
"Bye," Deila waved as the screen turned black.
Sophia looks at the wall curiously as she spots a board showing four Pokemon and notices one matching the Pokemon she saw flying towards the rainbow.
'That Pokemon looks so much like the one I saw.'
However, the telephone began to ring, pulling her out of her thoughts. She quickly with answered it and discovered that it was Professor Oak.
"Ah, Sophia, Benjamin, are you there?" Professor Oak said as an image of the back of his head appeared.
"Yeah, we're here, Professor? But you're facing the wrong way," Ben said, laughing.
Professor Oak turned around and spotted the siblings."Oops, wrong camera." He quickly turned back to the computer and typed something onto the keyboard, and the screen was fixed, "There. Ahem, I just spoke with your mother, and she told me you'd made it to the Pokémon Centre in Viridian City. Is that correct?"
"Well, I doubt I would be talking to you right now, Professor Oak, if that wasn't where I was," Sophia stated with her eyebrow raised.
"Ah, right, my bad," Professor Oak said with a sweat drop."Gary actually arrived there some time ago."
"Of course, he did. That jerk has a car, after all," Ben retorted. He couldn't stand Gary, especially with how he treated his big sister.
"And he even bet me a million Pokédollars that you wouldn't be able to capture a single Pokémon before you arrived in Viridian City."
"Well, you won that bet. I don't know why you were even betting with a kid," Sophia commented.
Professor Oak grinned. "Ha! Gary now owns me a million Pokédollars!" He cheered.
Ben rolled his eyes in annoyance."Good for you," He muttered angrily that Gary doubted his sister.
Ding! Dong!
"Ah! That must be my pizza. Coming!" Professor Oak said, getting up from his chair."I'll talk to the two of you later. Bye for now," He said before the screen with blank, ending the video call.

Since the sibling's Pokemon, we're still being healed up. Sophia decided that it would be a good idea for her and Ben to get some dinner from the Pokemon Center cafeteria. They stopped in their tracks as they heard a voice from the entrance of the Pokemon Center.
"Ugh, my poor bike," A female voice complained, and she looked around the same age as Sophia; she had short orange hair tied into a side ponytail with a blue rubber band and green eyes. She wore a yellow tank top that revealed her midriff red suspenders, denim shorts that stopped at her thighs, and red high-top sneakers with yellow lining and white laces. She also has a red bag on her back.
"Hey, is something the matter?" Ben questioned, walking over towards the girl.
"Huh?" The girl blinked as she noticed Ben standing in front of her.
"Sorry for my brother intruding. My name is Sophia, and this is Benjamin. Now, what is this about your bike?"
"Hello, my name is Misty. And what happened to my bike is this!" Misty said, holding up her destroyed bike.
"Woah, look at that bike!" Ben exclaimed with his eyes widened.
"Ignore him," Sophia said, placing a hand on her little brother's head."What exactly happened? That bike is burned to a crisp," She stated, glancing at the bike.
"What happened was this stupid Pikachu. I just came out of nowhere, and Thunder shocked my bike and destroyed it, and then it just ran off like it didn't just destroy my bike!"
Sophia narrowed her eyes slightly, wondering if it could be the same Pikachu she encountered during the Spearow attack.
"I'm sorry about that, Misty. I encountered a Pikachu, but it helped me out earlier, not destroy my stuff. So I guess we encountered different Pikachu. Anyway, we were about to grab some dinner. Would you like to join us?"
Ben looked at his big sister, surprised, knowing she wasn't the best with new people, but she seemed to trust Misty.
"You sure?" Ben asked.
"Yeah, mom is always saying we should make new friends. So what do you say, Misty?"
"That sounds great. I love to join you both for dinner."
"Alright, let's go eat then."
~•~•~•~
After Misty accepted Sophia's invitation, she gave her Pokemon to Nurse Joy, and now Sophia and Ben were enjoying dinner while getting to know each other.
"So, Sophia, what exactly is your goal on your pokemon journey?" Misty asked.
"Well, my dream as a kid has always been to become the world's greatest Pokemon Master, but the world for full of goals. Who knows, maybe I will want to do something else in the future," Sophia stated."What about you, Misty? Are you on a Pokemon journey as well?" She asked.
"Yes, I am, but I'm aiming to become a Water Pokemon master!" Misty said, smiling.
"I see. So you're a fan of water-type Pokemon?" Sophia asked before taking another bite of her spaghetti.
"Yes, I do. Water-type Pokemon are the best," Misty said, smiling.
"Cool, I love all kinds of different types of Pokemon. Whether they are normal, fighting, flying, bug, fire, water, grass, electric, dark, psychic, ghost, steel, ice, rock, poison, ground, dragon, or fairy. My dream is to discover all kinds of Pokemon, and when old enough to be a trainer, I will discover my goal then," Benjamin gushed with a shine of excitement in his eyes.
Sophia chuckled as she ruffled Ben's hair, making Misty smile. Sophia and Ben seemed like a lovely duo.
After they finished eating dinner, Sophia, Ben, and Misty received their Pokemon back as soon as they were done getting treated.
("Sophia!") Bubbles smiled, seeing her trainer.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy," All of them said politely.
"Your we'll" Nurse Joy was then cut off as Officer Jenny's voice was heard throughout the city intercom.
"Your attention, please. Viridian City, aircraft belonging to Pokemon thieves, has been spotted. If you have Pokemon on you, exercise extreme caution, I repeat, exercise extreme caution..." Officer Jenny announced.
Suddenly a loud clash was heard as two pokeballs came crashing through the glass on the ceiling.
"What is going on?" Ben questioned as a smoke-filled the room making him cough.
"Don't be freighted, little boy," A female voice called out.
"I'm not afraid," Ben retorted, puffing out his cheeks.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves," A male voice called out this time.
