Sterling was walking down the red dirt pathway headed toward Professor Pine's lab, taking a deep breath, ready for the most crucial moment in his life.

'It is finally the day I get my very first Pokémon and partner for the rest of my life. Now I can begin my Pokémon journey.' He thought as his eyes scanned around his hometown, watching kids playing outside happily.

Sterling shook his head as he thought about his little brother and knew this journey would be a long one with his little brother's personality and him being along with him every day.

'He a handful, but I love my little brother and will not suddenly tell him no, he can't come. Not after agreeing to it.' He thought as he walked down the pathway leading toward Professor Pine's lab.

After a pleasant and relaxing fifteen-minute walk, he took in the lovely scenery of his hometown. Sterling had arrived at a large red and black building with a castle-like appearance to it. Trees surrounded it, and there was a sign near the door that read 'Professor Pine's laboratory.

(The picture is from Pokemon Journeys, but that is because I couldn't draw the lab. It looked terrible.)

"Alright, I made it. I hope Benson hasn't gotten his Pokémon yet. Timothy wouldn't choose without me. He even started his journey a month after his birthday," Sterling said as he opened the door and entered the lab.

The moment he stepped inside, he ended up bumping into someone. He quickly balanced his footing, keeping it from falling back.

He then looked up and noticed a teenage boy slightly taller than him with a peach skin tone. He had shoulder-length light brown hair and dark brown eyes. He wore a black short-sleeved shirt underneath a blue jacket. He also wore black pants and red sneakers. To finish off the outfit, he had on a red hat with a black Pokeball logo. This was none other than his childhood rival Benson Pine, his least favorite person in town.

"Hey, watch where you are going..." Benson trailed off as he noticed who it was. Well, it isn't Sterling the emo loser," He said with a smirk on his face.

"Benson," Sterling muttered in annoyance at the sight of his least favorite person in the world.

"Alright, no, starting a fight this early today is too important of a day for that," a familiar voice said from behind the two boys.

Sterling and Benson turned around to see Timothy walking into the lab.

"That right so Benson knock it off," A feminine voice said.

The three sixteen year olds turn to see an woman  around in her 30's with brown hair slightly past her side that curve to the sides at the end and brown eyes. She is wearing a brown lab coat over an green dress and green heels as well as an green headband.

"Yes mom,"" Benson said with an nod to his mom.

"Now that everyone is settle down we should get to the reason everyone is here this moring," Professer Pine said."Follow me tou three," She said leading them towards the back room.

Professer Pine lead them inside of an room with a computer and mechines and shelfs with books there were three pokeballs sitting on the table each with an sticker symbol located on the pokeball.

"These three pokeballs contain the three pokeballs contain the three starter pokemon of the Wawanakwa Region,"Professer Pine said."You three will choose one of them as your starter afer i introduce them Sterling will choose first,"She explained.

"Hey why does he get to go first mom?" Benson asked annoyed."I was here before both of them so i should go first," He sated.

"Benson shut it doesnt matter since sterling birthday was the most recent he goes first," Professer Pine said glareing at her son."You get your turn to get your starter."

Benson just muttered under his breath in annoyance at his mom respones but decided to wait his turn to avoid being punished by his mother.

"Now then lets begin. First up we got Kidshurb,the grass type," She said picking up pokeball with an grass type symbol above the button and tossed it in the air.

Then out came a quadpedal lamb looking pokemon. It had pink skin with an grassy green headge of fur around its neck. It has round blue eyes with large black eyes that are pink inside. as well as an small blck nose and white face.

"Next  we have Embpup, the fire type Pokemon," she said picking up the next Pokeball had a flame symbol on it and tossing up as the firre type starter was sent out.

It was an quadupedeal cannine pokemon with black body and red face. It underbelly was red with an hint grey. It ears were slightly pointy and black inside it had an short black tail. There  freindly expression on it face.

"Last we have Bearbub,the water type Pokemon,"She said picking up the last pokeball with an bubble symbol and tossing it as out came the water type starter.

It was a chubby bipedal bear pokemon. That has blue fur that was an light shade of blue on it lower face and belly. It eyes were an black color and has an black nose. It ears were large and cricle and black and blue inside. It also has a small tail that was shape like an bubble,and three claw toes on its feet. It gave off the expression of an pokemon who loves to have fun.

"There all pretty cool looking," Timthoy said impressed as he study the pokemon in front of them.

"That correct pokemon are indeed cool to see in person," Professer pine said with an warm smile."Now Sterling which one will you choose,really think about it as they will be your first pokemon."

sterling nodded in understanding as he gaze at the three Pokemon. His eyes study Kidshrub  who looked away shyly. He then move his eyes to Bearbub who had a sheeplishy smile on it face before squriting sterling with an bubble attack. Sterling rub the water off his face before sttleing his eyes on Embpup.

"It decided Professer Pine,"Sterling said walking forward."i choose Embpup," he said kneeling down and picking up Embpup.

Embpup smiled as he nuzzle his face against his new trainer in hapniess feeling he would get along great with Sterling.

"That is a wondeful choice and seems Embpup already taking a likey to you,"Professer Pines said handing the pokeball for Embpup to Sterling.

Sterling immidately returned his newly obtained starter pokemon and walked back over to stand next to Timothy.

"Now you can go ahead and choose Benson,"Professer Pine said looking at her son.

"Bearbub,"Benson said walking over to the water type bear and picked up the bear.

"Alright here you go," Professer Pine said giving Benson the water type starter pokeball.

"Looks like it me and you Kidshrub," Timothy said slowly stroking Kidshrub  head causeing her to smile happily as he grabbed the pokeball and returned his new pokemon.

"Now befor you leave there just a few more things," Professer Pine said as she pulled open an drawer and took out three objects that were rectangular and curved at the bottom. One was red and white. Aonther was black and white with the thrid one being completly brown in color."These are called an pokedex it provides you with infomation about pokemon you encouter,"She said heading the red and white on to Timothy,and the black and white one to Sterling,and lastest the brown one to her son Benson.

Sterling nodded as he put his Pokedex inside of his jacket pocket and placed embpup's pokeball on his belt.

"You will also need these," Professer  Pine said heading the three boys ten pokeballs."You can only carry up to six Pokemon and if you need more pokeballs you will need to buy more from the Pokemart."

"Thank you professer," Timothu and Sterling said.

"Catch you later," Benso said walking on off.

"That boy," Professer Pine said shaking her head at her son behvior and attuide.

Sterling simply waved bye to Timothy as they before left the lab and went there separate ways.

Sterling arrived at his house and took off his shoes and put on his house shoes as he shut the front door behind him and walked on inside.

"Well look who here," Austin said walking out of the kitchen as he heard the door and smlied at his oldest son.

"Hello dad,"Sterling said hugging his dad.

"Big brother your home!" Dustin shouted happily running down the stairs with an grey backpack on his back.

"No running on the stairs young man,"Luna said coming on down the stairs carrying a white and black bag with a blue pokeball symbol."Here you go all packed and your father got you one of the latest Xtransceiver from Unova to call us as well as Pokenav from hoenn was sent by your Uncle Brich that we programed with the map of Wawanakwa region,"She said givinghim the bag and two decives with the color black matching Sterling's emo personailty.

"That will be use thanks dad and i will call and make sure to thank uncle as well," Sterling said putting his bag on his back and strapped his Xtransceiver on his wrist and Pokenav in his pocket."Come on Dustin time to go,"He said putting on his hsoes as he walked back over towards the door and put on his shoes.

"Bye be safe and stay out of trouble Dustin,"Luna said. 

"Yeah make sure to listen to Sterling,"Austin said.

"I will behave, "Dustin said with a wave as he followed Sterling out of the house ready to begin his journey with his big brother

Hey everyone, I hope you enjoyed  Episode 1 of The Drama of a Pokémon Journey. In this chapter, Sterling get his starter Pokémon from Professor Pine's lab, along with Timothy and Benson. Sterling ends up going with fire type starter.
