After they left the lab, Ash tried to bond with Pikachu. Even though he agreed to give Ash a chance, he still didn't fully trust the raven-haired boy. It wasn't long before they reached his house. Ash had his hand on the handle and was about to enter when a sudden thought entered his head. Ash let go of the handle and turned to face Pikachu, kneeling down to Pikachu's eye level.

"Pikachu, you're about to meet my mother. I promise she is a good person, but if she tries to touch you, please save the shock for me afterward, please, "Ash asked.

Pikachu took a couple of minutes to think it over. He figured that if Ash seemed like a good person, then maybe his mother was as well. Pikachu finally agreed to the terms.

"Pikachu!"

Ash smiled and stood on up, and put his hand on the handle. He took a deep breath before a smile took over his face again and turned the handle opening the door...

As he entered the house, he saw his older twin brother in a tight hug. Justin turned around and noticed his younger twin and shook his head in annoyance.

"Alright, mom, I need to get going," Justin said as he broke the hug.

When Delia let go, Justin walked towards the don't, and he grabbed his bag, holding it over his shoulder as he came face to face with Ash.

"Well, I guess this goodbye, for now, Justin," Ash told Justin as he offered his hand."See you later, bro."

Justin looked at the open gesture and mentally sighed before he slowly accepted his brother's handshake deciding to be ave on good terms. Ash smiled, seeing this as a sign things would change between the two of them.

He never understood why Justin was harsher to him compared to other people, but he was happy to see them making progress. Delia couldn't help but smile. She understood why Justin acted the way he did with Ash, but she was glad to see her sins were making bridges. Justin then ended the handshake and left to start his journey.

Deila wiped her eyes as her older son had left.

"Ash," Deila said, getting her youngest son's attention."What Pokemon did you get?"She asked.

Ash walked towards her and closed the door as Pikachu revealed himself from behind Ash.

"I got Pikachu, the best starter ever!" Ash exclaimed happily as he smiled down at Pikachu, who was next to him now.

"Oh. I thought the starters were Bulbasuar, Charmander, and Squirtle," Delia said, tilting her head.

"Yes, they are. But since I was one of the last ones there, there was no starter for me. So I ended up with Pikachu instead," Ash said.

"Oh, okay," Deila said and knelt down to Pikachu level with a soft smile."Hello there Pikachu."

Pikachu tilted his head and stared at Delia curiously. It was getting a strong feeling that she wasn't a bad person at all. She had a very kind smile, and something about her was filled with kindness. Pikachu could really fill it. Finally, he gave a smile and cried, "Pi!"

Then Delia started rubbing his head."You're such a cute Pokemon. Aren't you?"

"Chu!" Pikachu cooed happily.

Ash watched the scene nervously and was biting his nails. The last time Pikachu gave a thunderous shock was when Ash touched him. He just hoped Pikachu would keep his promise and not shock his mom. However, it seemed that Pikachu was enjoying it, so maybe Pikachu wasn't that nervous about humans.

Then Delia finally stood back up and faced Ash, her youngest son.

"I got everything packed up. I got everything in the backpack you will need during your journey," Deila said, and with that, Ash followed her to the living room.

Then she took a green backpack with many pockets with zippers off the couch and turned to Ash.

"Okay, I got everything you need. Here are some sandwiches, a rice ball, medicine when you get sick, a thermometer to check your temperature, a bottle of water, a jacket in case it's cold outside, pajamas, rubber gloves, a toothbrush, and toothpaste, and..."

"Alright, mom, I got it!" Ash said.

"Well, I trust you, Ash, and of course, don't forget to change, you know what, sweetie," Delia said, which made Ash really embarrassed, even though no one was there.

Expect for Pikachu, who was laughing at him. He found the scene to be really funny.

Just then, Delia started to cry."Oh, I'm going to miss you, my little Ashy!" Delia cried, and she hugged his son.

"I will miss you too, mom," As said and returned the hug.

Pikachu watched the scene with a small smile. Maybe there were decent humans out there. He thought, aside from Professor Oak, all humans were evil. Pikachu has never seen anything so heart-warming, caring, and friendly people in his life, but here they are. Maybe traveling with Ash won't be a bad idea, he was starting to think.

Ash and Delia let go, and Ash spoke up. "Okay, I need to go now. Everyone should be waiting for me." Ash said. Then it looked at Pikachu, "Are you ready to go?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu nodded.

Ash, Delia, and Pikachu stepped outside the house. Ash looked at the house one more time and recalled all the memories there. Mom, her food, soft, comfortable bed, holidays with his family, including their father when he wasn't away, etc. He would miss it all.

As Ash, Delia and Pikachu were walking. They could see Jessie, Jordan Murrow, Leaf, and her mother were waiting for them. Leaf had brought her Green bike. She wanted to see many Pokemon as soon as possible. Her mother was Marigold Rose. She looked a lot like Leaf. She was one of the strongest trainers in Kanto and was skilled in defenses. She is now retired as a Pokemon trainer and teaches students about Pokemon battles in Pallet Town Pokemon school for young kids wanting to work with Pokemon. It is not as large as Chase, Elaine, and Trace new school.

The four waved as they caught sight of them coming their way.

"Well, you are late again like usual, Ash. You are not going to change, are you?" Leaf asked with her hands on her hips.

"Well, I will not be in Pallet Town for a long time. I will miss it," Ash said with his head hung down.

"You are not going to be homesick, are you? Because we will not be in Pallet Town again for a long time," Leaf said.

"What are you talking about, Leaf? You cried and hugged for four minutes," Marigold said with a laugh.

"Mom!" Leaf said embarrassingly, causing her to blush.

Jessie was ready to go on her journey, but she wasn't sure whether she could do this alone. She knows that she is tougher than she gives herself credit, but she couldn't help but be it couldn't be help from the past families she has been with. Besides, she was going to miss her friends and couldn't bare the fact of being alone again.

"Um, what if we went together? I mean, we could help each other," Jessie said, playing with her fingers.

Suddenly a white light appeared from her skirt belt as her Eevee appeared."Eevee!" Eevee cried out and looked up at Jessie with large eyes full of concern sensing her nervously.

"That's fine with me! The more people, the more fun we have. I am in!" Ash exclaimed."Hey Pikachu. You don't mind having more companions, right?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed in approval, much to his relief.

Jessie smiled happily, glad she wasn't going to be alone on her journey, and picked up Eevee and held her close to her chest.

"Ee, vee!" Eevee cried, nuzzling her head against Jessie's chest, making her smile even more.

"What about you, Leaf? Are you coming with us?" Jessie asked, her attention still focused on Eevee.

However, Leaf just shook her head."I appreciate your offer, but I rather travel alone. There are so many things to try and Pokemon to see by myself. Plus I plan to ride my bicycle. And there is no way you catch up with me. I am really going to miss you guys, but I want to do this alone."

"That too bad," Jessie said with a sigh, but then looked at Ash and smiled briefly."I am glad you are coming with me through," She said, making Ash smile back.

"Always being little Mrs. Independent. My daughter never changes," Marigold said with a smile.

"Are you sure?" Ash asked again and received a nod from Leaf.

"Well, time to go now. I will call you when I reach Viridian City," Leaf said to her mother one last hug and then gave a group hug to Ash and Jessie once she put Eevee down.

Leaf then got onto her bike."I will see you guys later. Take care and good luck, you two."

Everyone waved goodbye to Leaf. Ash then turn to Jessie."Well, it looks like it's just you and me. Are you excited?"

"Yes, of course," Jessie replied happily. Even though Leaf will not travel with at least, she was with Ash. The guy she had a crush on was traveling with her. As she thought about that, her cheeks turned slightly red.

"Hey, are you okay? Ash asked with concern, making everyone expect Jessie and Eevee to facepalm, wondering when he would understand. Only time will tell.

"Now, Ash," Jordan spoke up."Please watch and protect Jessica at all times, and don't hurt her. Can I trust you to do that?"

"Yes, of course, Mr. Murrow. Mark my words, I will protect Jessica," Ash sId putting a fist in his chest."We are going to have a blast, aren't we?" Ash asked, looking at Jessie, who nodded.

With that, Ash and Jessie hugged their respective parents. Pikachu watched the heartwarming scene and thought that maybe this journey wasn't going to be bad at all. While Eevee just nuzzled Jessie's leg, joining in the moment of saying bye.

"Make sure to keep in touch with us," Delia said.

"We will!" Ash said and turned to look at Jessie."Are you ready?"

Jessie nodded and picked up her shiny Eevee as Ash turned to Pikachu.

"What about you, Pikachu?" He asked.

"Pi! Pika!" Pikachu cried in approval.

"Ee! Vee!" Eevee agreed.

"Well then, let's go!" Ash shouted.

'This is it. My Pokemon journey with Ash and me. Maybe I can figure out what I want to do during this journey.' Jessie thought to herself.

'This is it. The first step of being a Pokemon Master!' Ash thought to himself.

They gave a final nod to their parents and walked away.

"Let's do this," Jessie said.

"Pika!" Pikachu cried out his tiny fist in the air.

Ash was extremely pumped. He is going to show everyone who is the best. He is going to be the best, like no one ever was.

So this is it. In this chapter, the kids finally started there Pokemon journey. You all know what happens when Ash starts his journey the attack of Spearow and Ho-Oh. So expect that with some changes to make it even better than the anime.
