You stepped out of the airport with a huge smile on your face as the Galarian sun hit your face.
You took a deep breath of the fresh air here and looked around for the purple- haired boy, Augustine told you to find.
"Y/n!" You heard someone yell your name.
"I'm looking for a Y/n!" they yelled.
You eyes searched for the voice and you saw a purple-haired boy yelling.
"Y/n!"
"Um, hi," you said rolling your suitcase over, "I'm Y/n" you waved, then held your hand out.
"YOUR Y/N! I'M HOP! NICE TO MEET YOU!" He said really loud and shook your hand with a bit too much of excitement.
You smiled at him, he was younger than you, by a whole lot.
You were 24, Hop must have been around 14. (Shout-out to Yandere-chick)
"Wow! Your from Kalos! What's it like! What kind of Pokemon do you guys have! And food! Do you have food?!" He said really fast, circling around you.
You giggled, "Kalos is a really great region. We have cool pokemon, no pun intended, and I have a granola bar, here" you gave it to him.
"Your super nice! Thanks!" he said opening the wrapper.
"Hey, before we go, you think I can get you to say hi for my video?" you asked taking out your phone.
"Video?" he said while taking a bite out of the granola bar.
You laughed, "yeah, I'm a poke-vlogger"
"Poke-vlogger!" he said in awe, "like on poke-tude!"
"Yes" you said.
"Of course!" he said.
"Great!" You turned your phone on and hit record, "hey guys! I'm finally in Galar!" you spun around showing the region, "it's so beautiful here! Look at the fields!" you flipped the camera around to the fields, "and look this is Hop, say hi" you recorded Hop as he swallowed the last of the granola, and waved at the camera.
"He'll be showing me around." You flipped the camera back to selfie mode, alright lovelies, I'm checking out for now!" you stopped the recording.
"Should we get going?" You asked Hop.
"Yeah! Come on!" He started walking to a bridge.
"Um Hop, we're gonna walk?" You asked expecting to get on a taxi or something.
Hop turned back around and put his hand behind his head, "oh yeah, sorry, but yeah, we're walking, my house isn't too far from here! Come on!"
"Your house is walking distance? Wow! Sorry, I'm a city girl, where I come from it's 'taxi!'" you and Hop laughed.
"Here lemme help you with your suitcase!" Hop said.
"It's fine" you said, "it's not that heav-" but Hop pulled it out of you hands and walked ahead.
"Thanks" you said not sure if he heard, and caught up.
"Hey Y/n, what kind of Pokemon are on your team!" he asked.
You smiled, "I could tell you, or I could show you"
Hop gasped, "show me! Please Y/n! Show me your pokemon!"
You took out one of your pokeballs and tossed it up in the air.
The bright yellow light shown, followed by a "Psy!"
"Hop, this is my partner Psyduck" you said, "Psyduck, this is Hop!"
"Psyduck, we're were in Galar!"
"Psy!" he exclaimed happily, looking around.
"Wow! A Psyduck!" he exclaimed, "we don't have those around here!"
Hop let go of your suitcase and went up to Psyduck.
"Psy?" your silly ducky said in a confused tone.
"Psyduck" Hop said in awe, "can I pet him?"
"Of course!" You said, picking up your suitcase off the ground.
Psyduck enjoyed being petted by Hop, and raised his little flippers up.
You giggled, "he likes you, Hop! He wants you to pick him up!"
"Huh? Really!" He smiled widely and picked him up as he continued to walk.
"Hop, ready to see my next pokemon?" You said taking out a pokeball, tossing it up.
The bright yellow light revealed a glaceon.
"Oooo, so pretty!" Hop said.
"Glaceon, look, we're in Galar!" You picked up Glaceon and petted his head.
Glaceon then hopped out of your hands and walked along side you.
"Sorry Hop, but my last 3 pokemon are too big to fit in this narrow path."
"It's ok, you can show me at my house! It right over there!" He said and sped up as we arrived at a tall, two story house with a big yard.
"Now you can take them out!" he said placing Psyduck on the ground.
You smiled at the enthusiastic boy.
"Come on out, everyone!" You said and tossed the pokeballs out.
An Abomasnow, Alolan Ninetales, and an Avalugg stood in the field.
Hop might have fainted at the sight of the huge pokemon in front of him.
"Hop, meet my ninetales" you said petting her soft coat of fur,"my Abomasnow, this is my first pokemon that I caught as a snover" you gave the giant a hug(as he loved your hugs) "and avalugg, my dad gave it to me" you patted his flat head, "he's the pokemon that can mega evolve"
"Mega evolve! That sounds so cool!" Hop exclaimed, "and why is your ninetales white?" he asked, "here, there yellow"
He walked up to ninetales and she gently licked his hand.
You giggled, "she from Alola, I caught her as a vupix, she was a white vupix, on my Alolan adventure"
"So cool!" Hop said.
"Hey Hop, do you have any pokemon?" you asked while taking a bag of poke-food out of your suitcase and started feeding everyone.
"Well, yeah, I have 2!" He exclaimed, then shyly scratch the back of his head, "you see I-I just started as a pokemon trainer. My big brother gave me a Grookey! Check it out!" He took out a pokeball and said, "come on out Grookey!"
Then a little green monkey ran up to Hop's arm.
"Aw, how cute!" You said petting the Grookey's arm, "you mind if I hold him?"
"No, go ahead!" Hop said handing you Grookey.
The little monkey held on tightly on your arm as Hop called out his next pokemon.
"Come out, Wooloo"
The little white sheep stole your heart.
"Ohmygosh!" you exclaimed.
You handed the Grookey back to Hop, and approached the Wooloo.
The Wooloo walked up to you and you sat down on the floor to level with the Wooloo.
You petted the soft wool, the Wooloo leaned into your touch, and sat on your lap. Your arms wrapped around the wooloo and pulled it into a hug.
"You know, I'm usually into ice types but this little guy is too cute!"
You let go of the Wooloo and got up.
"You said you just started you pokemon training?" you asked.
"Yup, I'm going to be the next champion!"
"Champion? Who's the champion now?" You asked.
"Hey, what's going on here?" a low voice asked.
"Leon!" Hop exclaimed and ran to hug a man with purple hair, who came out of the front door.
"Since when have you been here?" he asked.
"I came in early in the morning, mom said she sent you on an errand" the man Leon, you assumed, said.
"I was, the professor asked us to host Y/n" then his eyes widened as he just remembered something, "oh, yeah, Y/n!"
He turned around to you and pulled your hand to Leon, "Leon, this is Y/n! She's from the Kalos region! And she's a poke-vlogger on poke-tude! And she gave me a granola bar!"
Leon laughed and held his hand out, you shook his hand, "hi Y/n, I'm Leon, is there anything Hop didn't tell me about you?"
You laughed, "he missed the part about me being a gym leader"
"Your also a gym leader!" Hop exclaimed, "that explains all the cool pokemon! Lemme guess, your the ice type gym leader!"
You shook your head 'yes'.
"I think Hop's had too much excitement today, more than yesterday, Hop?" Leon asked, "Hop got his starter pokemon yesterday"
"It's just I've never met anyone so cool!" Hop said.
"Ouch" Leon said putting a hand over his heart, "that hurt"
Hop punched Leon on the shoulder, "Y/n, this is Leon, my big brother and the champion of Galar, I'm going to beat him and become the new champion!"
"Wow, the champ, huh? I'd love to have a pokemon battle with you one day" you said.
"Hey Leon, why don't you show Y/n your pokemon!" Hop said.
The rest of the afternoon the three of you played with your pokemon. You even got some footage of Leon and the pokemon for your video.
At the end of the day, Leon had to go back to his champion duties, so you were going to stay in his room.
After putting everyone back in there pokeballs, Leon helped you carry your suitcase up the stairs and into his room.
Then the boy's parents came home, they were super nice and brought back dinner.
After dinner you and Hop went up to Leon's room and you showed him how to edit the videos you took today, ready to post.
You titled it, "Galar Day 1: Meeting Hop+more!"
"You better get some rest, Y/n, tommorow were heading over to the professor's lab and then to the 1st gym!" Hop said as he walked out of his room in some Pikachu jammies.
"Hey, Hop just out of curiosity, what's the 1st gym?" You asked putting away your toothbrush in a plastic bag.
"From what I've heard and read, it's in a town called Turffield. It's the grass type gym. And if you liked Wooloo, you'll like him, I heard he's a farmer, and that he raises Wooloo."
"What's his name?" you asked.
"Milo"
