A/n: can we all pretend the Hero's Bath is large than it actually is?

You got up early to get ready for your battle against your mom. It was going to be an early battle since you had a date with Milo later on.

You did your newly dyed hair, and put on yet, another of your ice leader outfit.

You had a quick breakfast at the pokemon center and left.

You had heard about these flying taxi's, so you called one and it was an amazing experience.

You fly high above Hammerlock and the routes of Galar, with a little wind coming in the compartment every now and then.

Being alone in the flying compartment made you miss Hop, but it was a great moment to film.

"Hey guys, I'm on my way to Cinchester City right now to have a pokemon battle with my mom. And afterwards I have a--" you thought whether or not to tell everyone about your date with Milo, "well actually nevermind, I have a meeting, I'm looking forward to today!"

You recorded your view of the outside, as the climate changed from sunny to snowy, you were in your element, but so was mom.

You landed safely and made your way up and over the hill to the actual city.

There wasn't much that need exploring, nothing that surprised you since you've been here multiple times.

You recorded for the sole purpose of your video. Then walked through the city to get to your mom's gym.

On your way there, you past the warm
and familiar Hero's Bath, except that it's wasn't a bath. It was completely frozen. It was an ice rink now.

A smile spread on your face, you loved skating! And seeing so many people (especially little kids) ice skating and having fun made you really happy inside.

"NO, NO, NO! YOUR TOO SLOW AND YOUR LANDING WAS UNGRACEFUL!"

You instantly recognized that voice. You turned your head to see a young girl with a Froslass and non other than your mom, with her Frosmoth flying near by.

The poor girl was at the edge of tears as your mom went off in her.

"HOW DO YOU EVER EXPECT TO BEAT THE WORLD CHAMPION WITH YOUR CLUMSINESS!"

They were in the middle of a ice skating lesson.

Your mom was short tempered when it came to teaching anyone.

You decided to help out the poor girl, "hey, your landing leg should be fully extended next time so that your knees have enough time to absorb the impact of your landing... your landing should be more stable next time"

She looked up at you and her eyes widened.

Meanwhile your mom turned her head and as soon as she saw you a smirk appeared on her lips.

"Alexa our session here is done" she said.

"Ohmygosh, you're last year's World Champion!" The girl, Alexa, said "and last year's and the year after that and after that!"

"That's me, take the advice, I promise you'll land better next time" you gave her a warm smile.

She nodded with determination and skated away, her Froslass following behind.

"Mom!" You smiled and gave her a hug, it didn't last so long though, "don't be so harsh on children" you scolded remembering how harsh she would be on you.

"Oh, Y/n, your always the same, how else are they going to learn?" She said in her high pitched laughter, returning her Frosmoth to it's pokeball, "and what did you do to your hair!"

You shook your head in disapproval.

"You should have told me when you were going to come" she said, "or you should have just came here first"

"I wanted the ultimate Galarion experience, mom" you said starting to walk off the ice rink, your mom skated besides you, "what happened to the Hero's Bath? Are people not allowed to skate in the gym anymore?"

"You like it?" She said, "I had it frozen just for you, it's your conciliation prize" she switched her skates for her fluffy boots, as you two made your way through the city.

"Conciliation prize?" Your features twisted into a face of confusion.

"Oh, honey you really think your going to beat me?" There was her laugher again.

"Oh, mom, I know I'm going to beat you" you said.

"We'll see about that, you know I was thinking if having our Pokemon battle later in the day, it's too early for one don't you think?" She batted her eyelashes.

"I don't think so, I'll be busy later on, plus there's nothing better than by starting your day off with a pokemon battle" you said.

"You seem confident" she said, "people must have a hard time getting through your gym in Kalos"

"They do" you said.

"Well, honey we aren't in Kalos" she said, "let's see how well you've grown since last time you were here... but first, it's get some lunch!"

Milo woke up that morning from a restless sleep... he was so nervous!

Even more nervous than the time he tried out to be gym leader, and that was one of the scariest moments of his life!

But this wasn't a scary nervous, it was an excited nervous.

He's never even been on a proper date before(of course he's been set up on dates by his friends but he's never had a second date with the same girl).

He put on his best outfit for the cold which consisted of a short sleeved black button shirt, a large flannel jacket, brown jeans and matching brown boots.

He traded in his bandana for a patterned black scarf and his straw hat for an army green trapper hat.

He made sure to lock his cabin and went out to his garden where he picked a sunflower, hoping you'd like it, and called in a flying taxi.

He landed in the frozen town, already shivering at the cold temperature. He had feared that he had gone overboard on his outfit, but it was just right as he felt his cheeks and nose numb from the lower temperature.

Wow, was this city impressive or what! It was huge and had tons of stuff to do.

Yeah, he's never been here, (well he's only really been to the gym), but you certainly have(as he recalled you saying) so you wouldn't be interested in sightseeing.

He stumbled across the Hero's Bath, which was frozen into an ice rink.

"Aha! This is perfect!" He accidentally said out loud.

'this was way better than skating in the dimly lit gym' he thought, 'sorry Melony'

He decided to get some lunch and went shopping for, yet another gift and some skates while the clock to stiked 5:00.

'they gotta sell skates somewhere around here'

Hey y'all! I'm super ultra sorry that it's been ages since my last update.

The truth is I had a little writer's block for this story!

But I got motivated by so many nice comments of 'plz update' that I worked through it and came up with this chapter!

Now this is just a teaser, the real good stuff is coming up!
