Accents

So, Gloria speaks with the scottish accent.
Ash, remains the accent from his english voice actor.
Almost everyone else has a british accent, even if only subtle, unless said otherwise.

All info found in this fic that isn't actually canon is me trying to make the world work, without proffessor oak being all like 'Hey. New discovered region. Go there. People already live there, but it's brand spanking new. They have gyms'. Also, I'm trying to incoperate both game, anime, and a bit od manga into this.

Ash yawned. leaning back in his chair. He was currently researching what he could find about the Dynamax Phenomenon, something quite prevelant in the Galar Region. It was the final assignment before he would gain his license to be a researcher, rather than an assistant.

"Man, this is hard. If only I could-" Ash stopped for a second, "That's it!". Ash's shout woke Pikachu up, who, upon seeing Ash leave the room, chased after his trainer.

"More hands on research in the Galar Region" Proffessor Oak mused. After thinking over it for a few minutes, he gave Ash the go ahead. "Don't worry. I'll take care of any Pokemon you can't carry with you as usual" Oak said. "Thanks sir. I guess this is kind of a new adventure" Ash said, rubbing the back of his head.

Ash pulled on his gloves, and put his hat on. The outfit was similiar to the one he wore in Kalos. A blue short sleeved jacket with white lines and dark grey cargo pants. The only difference was he wore a long sleeved shirt, rather than the short sleeved shirt he wore prior.

He boarded the plane, thinking over possible Pokemon to fill in the remaining two spots in his team. He had Gible, Rowlet, and of course, Pikachu with him. The other three slots, he wanted to save for Glarian Pokemon.

Getting off the plane, Ash wasted no time, Ash found his way to the trainstation. After making sure to get on the right train, he went off to Wedgehurst.

Finding the Research Lab was fairly easy. It's older style, as well as the dark purple roof made it stand out.

He entered in the middle of a conversation between two people. A man appearing to be in his mid-twenties, and a girl who appeared to be roughly eighteen.

"... Another never-before-seen Pokemon. You've got to stop with these childish requests".

"Never before seen Pokemon?" Ash asked. "And you are..?" The girl asked. "Oh. I'm Ash Ketchum. Pokemon Researcher in training. I'm studying the Dynamax Phenomenon, and came here for more hands on research" Ash said. "I see. You would have to talk to my gran' then. She's the one you'd have to ask about that" The girl said, "I'm Sonia, by the way".

"Bow wark" a small quadrapedal pokemon barked. "What's that Pokemon" Ash thought out loud. "It's a Yamper. They aren't too common outside of Galar" The man said, "I'm Leon. I'm the champion of the league here, im case you didn't know". "Wow. That's actually really cool. You have to be endorsed to participate in your gyms, right. That makes it so much more impressive" Ash said.

"Are you feeling like a third wheel" A kid, in his early teens, with brown hair asked. "ay" a girl, roughly the same age, also brown haired, replied.

"Hey, you're a Pokemon Trainer, right?" a blue haired kid asked. "Yeah" Ash said. "In that case, I challange you to a battle" Blue, as he was currently dubbed, announced. "I don't quite think-" Ash tried to reason, before getting dragged outside.

"This i'n't going to end quite well, is it" Gloria asked. "No, although I'm not quite sure who it's going to end poorly for" Victor replied.

"Well then, this will be a two on two battle battle between Ash Ketchum and Hop Jones (Apparently a common British surname). Swapping out will be allowed, and from their, the standard rules apply" Leon announced.

"Wooloo, you're up" Hop shouted, throwing his Pokeball. "I've never seen that Pokemon before" Ash muttered to himself, before grabbing onto a Pokeball. "Come on out, then, Gibble" Ash shouted, throwing his Pokeball, only to have his head inside the small dragon type's mouth.

After getting Gibble off his head, Gible was ready to battle. "It's been a while since we've last battle, but let's give them everything we've got, okay Gibble" Ash said. "Gib" was Gibbles response, probably translating to a 'gotch'ya' in human speech.

"Alright then. Wooloo, use Tackle" Hop shouted, and wooloo curled up into a ball. Then started rolling towards Gibble. "Dodge, then use Draco Meteor" Ash called out. Jumping to the side, Gibble was just grazed by the tackle. "Crap, get out of there Wooloo" Hop shouted. Although it was too late. While it didn't explode mid-air, it did hit it's target, knocking it out.

"Still gotta work on that, don't ya" Ash asked. Gibble looks as embarrassed as it could, really only being a head.

"Wha-?!" Hop shouted. His Pokemon was taken out in a single shot. Not to mention Draco Meteor, even if the move had failed, was still a high level move.

"I remember now" Victor shouted, "Ash Ketchum is the name of the trainer who won the Alola League three years ago". Everyone just stopped and stared at Ash. "Nah. It's probably just a coincedince. Besides, that Ash didn't have a Gibble" Ash said, sweating nervously. He had always wanted to be a 'Pokemon Master', but now that he had win the Alola league, he had become pretty famous.

He understood now why Diantha had worn disguises when going out, or why Cynthia had tried her best to stay out of public eye. Being famous was tougher than any Gym battle he had ever fought.

Luckily, everyone but Victor had believed his lie.

In the end they had completly forgotten about the battle. Ash got a new Pokedex, and met up with Magnolia. He got some more information on Dynamax.

Apparently, in order for a Pokemon to Dynamax, the trainer had to have a Dynamax Band, made from a special type of crystal known as a Wishing Star. You also had to be in a Galar Field. An area, most commonly found in Galar, however there were likely a some spread throughout the world. They were filled with Galar Particles, allowing for Dynamaxing.

There was also certain pokemon who had a unique gene that reacted with Galar Particles. It allowed them to not only grow larger, but to also change form.

"So it's like Mega Evolution" Ash realized. "I suppose it is" Magnolia said.

"Go on ahead, Gloria. I'll catch up with you" Victor said. "Will do" Was Glorias response.

"Hey Victor. How're you doing" Ash asked. "You're pants when it comes to lying" Victor said. "Was it that obvious" Ash asked, scratching the back of his head. "I suppose. You don't have to worry though. If you don't want to be known, I won't make your achievements common knowledge" Victor said. "Thanks" Ash said.

...

"So this is the Galar Region" ??? said to himself, "No real world threatening things going on here, so why was I assigned here".
