I face my best friend on a small battlefield in his front yard.

"You seriously chose scorbunny?" I ask. "Ya know my sobble knows water gun, yeh?" I look at my new partner. "Water gun, beejay!" A jet of water squirts out of my Sobble's hand.

"So you know about type effectiveness?" Leon asks

"Of Course I do. Who dosnt't?"

"A lot of trainers who battle me, believe it or not." Leon distracted me. I whip my head around just in time for another kick on my sobble.

"Blast him, beejay!" I whisper to him. Beejay nods and shoots another beam of what. I had already defeated his wooloo, so I guess I won. Leon smiled at us, but you could tell it wasn't sincere. He healed out Pokémon.

"Hey, you three!" Hops mum called out. "Want some dinner? I'm cooking some kababs on the grill tonight!"

"Yeh!" Hop and Leon called together. 

"Yes please." I say calmly.

My alarm rang and I jolted awake, quicker than a ninjask. I hastily put on my clothes for the day and rushed out the door.

"Wait! Vallerie!" Mum came running out the door. "I have a gift for you!" I slowed down, and she caught up and passed me a pokeball and a bag containing more. "That lone ball has a rookidee for you. Have fun sweetie!" And with that she ran into the house. I let the rookidee out.

"Oh hey little guy!" It chirped in delight and I brushed his head with my finger tips. "I'm gonna name you... how about corran?" He chirped in delight again. "Alright corran! Let's go!"

And with that, we were on our way.
