Chapter 6: Saved by the Feather

Here's the next chapter of this story.

Here we'll meet your mother and a special lil guy.

I hope you like it cause I liked writing it.
_______________________________________

The weekend was finally here and every student in Naranja Academy was eager to go out and have fun for the two days of no school.

Some did stay behind for one reason or another, but there was definitely one student who wasn't excited for this weekend.

And that student was you.

As a stampede of students poured out of the doors of Naranja Academy you simply trudged slouching over and let out a sigh.

It was time to go face your mother's wrath.

Now you did consider suicide at one point, but suicide was the coward's way out and you were no coward.

Besides you were pretty sure your mother was gonna kill you anyways.

You had called a Paldean flying taxi to drop you off at your destination and it should be here in the courtyard any moment now.

As you began walking down the stairs to the courtyard, an all too familiar voice reached your ears.

"(Y/N)!" Came the voice of Crus behind you along with the sound of shoes Rapidly hitting the floor.

You sighed and turned around only to have the wind knocked out of you as the excited Shiny hunter crashed into you.

This caused both of you to tumble down the stairs letting out grunts of pain as you both did.

You both finally hit the halfway point of Naranja Academy's long stairs with a hard thud.

Crus groaned as she sat up.

"Sorry (Y/N)..." She groaned sitting up and rubbing her head.

When the shiny hunter looked down her whole face turned crimson with a blush as she realized the position you both were in.

Your tumble resulted in her landing on top of you and now that she was sitting up, she was basically straddling you.

You did not look amused.

"How cliche." You sighed. "NOW GET THE FUCK OFF ME!"

"R-right." She stuttered not wanting to embaress you both.

Most of the students have cleared and left, but she was still straddling you in a public area so she had to get off you fast.

Unfortunately, just as she was about to get off, the sound of a photo being taken reached both your ears.

"Nice." Came the all too familiar voice of Zoraida and there she stood on the stairs walking down towards the two of you.

Beside her, hovered her Rotom Phone which she had just used to take a photo of you and Crus in your current position.

Immediately you shoved Crus off you and got back up.

"Delete that right now!" You snarled grabbing at Zoraida's Rotom Phone only for the possessed Electronic to avoid your grab and fly back into Zoraida's backpack.

You tried to grab at her backpack only for her to grab your wrist and suddenly pull you into a tight hug.

This of course caused your face to go right into her breasts.

"Aw don't worry Little Man, I'm not gonna show this to anyone you don't want me to." Zoraida assured as you struggled in your nonconsensual trip to Marshmallow Hell. "If you let me keep it I'll send you a few spicy pics of myself for your viewing pleasure."

"You know...for when you wanna jerk it." Zoraida giggled as you finally managed to pry yourself free from her bosom.

"Do you have any shame!?" You asked breaking free of her grasp.

"No not really." She replied almost immediately. "Why should I be ashamed of my body?"

"Whatever, just delete that!" You snarled.

Zoraida in response simply said:

"Wh-what are you even gonna do with that Picture ?" Crus asked still red-faced with embarrassment.

"Not blackmail if that's what you're thinking." Zoraida assured. "I just like taking pictures of my Little Man being cute."

"I don't care if you're not gonna use it for anything!" You yelled. "I don't like the thought of you having pictures of me on your phone!"

"Little Man, you really don't have to worry, I've got tons of pics of you, what's one more?" Zoraida asked and you blushed harder.

"Oh hell no!" You yelled pulling out a Pokeball. "We're battling right now and if you lose you delete all those pics!"

Immediately though Zoraida shook her head.

"Sorry Little Man, not interested, especially since I won't get anything in return." Zoraida stated with a pout. "And especially cause I know I'll lose, especially when you're this riled up."

You growled as she leaned in with that little pout.

"I'll happily delete them if you do something for me though." She stated seductively making you back up a bit as you sweatdropped.

"Wh-what?" You asked with a raised brow even though you probably already knew what she wanted.

"I want a date." Zoraida said with a suggestive smirk and you grimaced upon hearing that.

"Fuck No!" You yelled out.

"Oh please, it doesn't have to be a big date, I don't need a fancy restaurant or a night at the movies." Zoraida stated wrapping her arms around your neck making you flinch a bit. "I'm more than happy to just spend a night at your or my place."

She said her face inching closer and closer to yours as you remained frozen in shock.

"Just me and my Little Man, watching TV or playing video games, I come into the room wearing something nice and revealing for you and...well we'll just see where things go from there." Zoraida giggled as her lips were inches from yours.

The moment you felt her breath on your lips you pushed her back your face crimson with a blush.

"Forget it Scale Brain!" You snarled angrily. "Just battle me!"

Zoraida simply shook her head once more.

"No battle." She said booping you on the nose. "Date me."

"In your dreams!" You snarled back.

"Trust me Little Man, I do dream about you...A LOT." Zoraida responded with a wink. "And believe me they're very steamy."

"Wow...you really don't have any shame." Crus said finally speaking up.

"Yeah, it's a fucking problem for me." You groaned covering your face in despair.

"I know you like it." Zoraida replied with a smug look.

You were about to retort, but just then the flying Taxi you had called finally arrived.

The man waved at you and you let out a grunt of frustration putting your Pokeball away.

"Fine, but this isn't over." You growled backing up and glaring at them.

"Hold on (Y/N), I just wanted to tell you something." Crus said remembering why she was after you in the first place.

"What?" You asked crossing your arms in an irritated manner.

"I just wanted to tell you I'll try and pay you back by the end of the weekend." Crus stated with determination in her voice. "If I can't I hope you'll be patient and wait a bit longer."

You sighed and facepalmed.

"Whatever Crus, I really don't care if you do pay me back anymore, just leave me alone." You groaned crossing your arms. "Don't waste your time trying to get me anything."

"Nope still not gonna do that." Crus said with a giggle. "Don't worry (Y/N), as a Shiny Hunter I'm used to wasting my time."

"Whatever." You said rolling your eyes as you turned and left to go home.

"See ya Little Man, I'll miss you." Zoraida called out.

"EAT A DICK!" You yelled back.

"Can it be yours?" She asked and all you did was growl knowing it was your fault for walking right into that one.

With that you got in the flying taxi and it took off the Squawkabilly pulling the large taxi from the ground and you were off with Zoraida and Crus watching.

Once you were out of sight, Zoraida turned to Crus with a sly smile.

The Shiny Hunter looked at the future Elite 4 member with a raised brow.

"What?" She asked.

"You know I don't mind sharing my Little Man." Zoraida said suddenly confusing Crus even more.

However she soon got the message when she saw Zoraida make a rather suggestive face.

Zoraida right now:

Crus' face exploded in a crimson blush and she began to stutter.

"I-I...uh...I...h-have to go." Crus stuttered wanting out of this awkward situation quickly.

"That wasn't a no." Zoraida clarified making Crus blush harder as she had no idea how to respond to that.

So she just ran away leaving a dust cloud in her shape as she dashed, her face so red it was steaming.

Zoraida kept her sly smile as she watched Crus run off in her flustered state.

"She really is cute." Zoraida thought with a giggle as she walked off.

Meanwhile:

You sighed as you stepped off the flying taxi which finally landed somewhere near the city of Porto Marinada.

Porto Marinada being the city you and your mother were living in.

You payed the driver of the Taxi the amount you owed.

"Thanks kid." The Driver said as the many Squawkabilly began flapping their wings furiously to pull up the taxi.

The large taxi lifted off and the Squawkabilly seemingly did it with no effort.

It honestly amazed and confused you every time you saw those bird Pokemon lift the taxis with such ease.

Squawkabilly as far as you knew were borderline useless in battle at least most of the time.

But apparently they're strong enough to function as taxis here.

Sure it took a bunch of them to lift the taxi, but given their size you figured it'd take a whole flock of at least maybe 20 to pull that Taxi into the air, not just 5 or 6.

Apparently Corviknights were once used but complications arose and now the Paldea Region uses Squawkabilly.

You shrug and make your way to your home.

Why didn't you just directly land in the city?

Well you needed just a bit of time to steel your nerves before facing your mother's wrath.

And on top of that maybe you could find a strong Pokemon or something interesting on your way to town.

You never know in this world.

So you trudged along the road to the city, going past the arrow signs in the split of the forked dirt path.

As you trudged along with your hands in your pockets you began mentally preparing yourself for the scolding and beating you'd receive, but you were suddenly brought out of your thoughts by the sounds of Pokemon fighting.

You perked up and looked towards a tree on the side of the road a good distance away, you saw a group of 4 Meowth gathered around a smaller Pokemon.

Meowth:

As you got closer you finally got a look at the Pokemon they were surrounding.

Shiny Rookidee:

It was a Shiny Rookidee as it's feathers were a sort of golden color rather than the usual blue.

Rookidees and all their evolutions didn't normally make their home in the west province of Paldea, they were really rare to spot here.

A Shiny was even more rare, so you were super lucky.

The Rookidee on the other hand wasn't so lucky as it was busy trying it's best to fend of the Meowth who were constantly attacking it.

The little Rookidee attempted to peck at them screeching as the Meowths all laughed or at least made sounds similar to laughter as they all picked on the tiny creature.

Meowths were known to bully Pokemon weaker than them and this poor Rookidee was now the target of their oppression.

One of the Meowths extended it's claws and unleashed a Fury Swipes on the Rookidee knocking it against the tree.

Once again the 4 Meowths snickered in their own way as the Rookidee attempted to get back up.

It was already battered and bruised, showing that these Meowths have been beating it up for quite some time.

One of the 4 Meowths suddenly grabbed the poor Rookidee by the head and picked up giving a sinister chuckle as the bird Pokemon uselessly kicked it's talons.

Once again it was tossed against the tree much to the amusement of the other Meowths.

The Shiny Rookidee chirped in pain as the 4 Meowths kept laughing.

"Flying Press!" Came a voice making the Meowths and Rookidee look around in confusion.

Before they knew it however, a red, white and green blur suddenly came crashing down on one of the 4 Meowths creating a Shockwave that blew back the other 3.

The Rookidee was far away enough to not be effected by the Shockwave, but still covered it's face with it's left wing to prevent the dust from the impact from getting in it's eyes.

When the dust cleared it revealed the Meowth was knocked out with swirly eyes, but it also revealed another Pokemon standing triumphantly with it's foot on the head of the unconscious Meowth.

Hawlucha:

It was a Hawlucha, and after lifting it's foot from atop the Meowth's head it struck a pose to assert it's dominance.

"Hacha!" It declared proudly as the Meowths stared on.

Their attention however immediately returned to the Rookidee who was being picked up gently by you.

The Shiny Rookidee looked up at you with a mixture of fear and surprise.

You noticed how it shook in fear and so you gently stroked it's head with your finger to calm it down.

"It's okay little guy, I'm not gonna hurt ya." You assured in a calm and gentle tone far from your usual angry or menacing tone.

This seemed to help somewhat as the Rookidee stopped shaking but still eyed you cautiously.

The 3 remaining Meowths all glared at you as they were not done with the bird Pokemon.

However before they could attack you, your Hawlucha lunged at one of them and delivered a hard blow to it's face knocking it out.

It was to be expected, wild Pokemon are usually weaker than Pokemon with Trainers so they really stood no chance, especially considering Hawlucha as a Fighting Type had an advantage over them.

The 2 remaining Meowths all stood frozen in fear as your Hawlucha turned to them with a smirk and beckoned them to come at it.

(Ignore the red glow and steam):

The 2 Meowths shook in fear and did what any coward would when confronted by something or someone stronger.

They ran.

Both cat Pokemon ran off into the distance on all fours making you scoff.

Your Hawlucha let out it's own version of a laugh as it watched the bullies run off like the weaklings they were.

The Shiny Rookidee in your hand glared at them as well before spitting in their direction.

It made you sick to see something weak and defenseless getting picked on and bullied for no reason.

You sighed and reached into your large pockets and pulled out a Full Restore.

Full Restore:

You sprayed the green potion on it and like magic, all it's bruises and scars disappeared.

"There ya go." You said putting the little bird Pokemon down on the ground.

It looked up at you with grateful red eyes and chirped happily in thanks.

"Thank Hawlucha too, he messed those bastards up." You said pointing at Hawlucha who smiled proudly as the Shiny Rookidee hopped up to it and chirped happily.

You couldn't help but smile at the sight before returning it to it's Pokeball.

"Alright, be safe out there." You said as you turned to walk away, but immediately you stopped when you heard the little bird Pokemon chirp at you, as if it was begging you not to go.

"What's wrong?" You asked curiously and the Rookidee gestured to it's right wing.

"Your wing is broken?" You asked with a raised brow.

The Rookidee nodded sadly and to demonstrate it's plight it attempted to fly only to get a few feet off the ground before falling once more.

"Damn it." You sighed picking up the little bird Pokemon gently once again.

It seems you had no choice but to take the little guy home and nurse it back to health.

Why didn't you just take it to a Pokemon center?

Well there were some things a Pokemon center just couldn't heal and a bird Pokemon's broken Wing was one of them.

Besides, one couldn't really leave a Pokemon at the center here in Paldea, here Pokemon centers were more comparable to gas stations.

They were more for Trainer's convenience, simply having a machine to heal Pokemon contained in Pokeballs and the Nurse who operates it.

Also the Pokemart where supplies can be bought.

So you had no choice but to take the Rookidee home with you and try to heal it's wing.

You couldn't just leave it to fend for itself after all the effort you put into saving it.

So with the little Rookidee in-hand you trudged on towards your home in Porto Marinada.

Later:
Porto Marinada was a bustling town near the waters of Paldea and was famous for it's Market and auctions.

The roads of the town resembled pool tiles and the homes were rather nice.

You walked past the townsfolk who paid you no mind or gave concerned looks as you walked with the shiny Rookidee.

Finally you made it to your house and took a deep breath to steel your nerves once more.

You slowly reached for the door handle and slowly opened the door before stepping inside.

The front door led into the living room and it was pretty standard, nothing too remarkable except for one thing.

Sleeping on the couch was a Pokemon.

Specifically the Poison/Ground type Pokemon, Clodsire.

Éclair the Clodsire:

This Clodsire was named Éclair and upon hearing you step in, the goober opened it's eyes and let out a big yawn and turned to you with it's derpy eyes and greeted you happily.

"Hey Éclair." You said walking up to the adorable blob and patting it on the head, an action the Clodsire liked and leaned into.

Éclair let out a noise of approval before it noticed the Shiny Rookidee and titled it's head curiously.

"Oh yeah, you're gonna have a new playmate for a little bit." You said holding the Rookidee out to Éclair who greeted it happily.

The Rookidee chriped happily at the Poison/Ground type.

"So...where's Mom?" You asked and seemingly on cue, a voice belonging to mother rang in your ear.

You immediately stiffened up and so did the Rookidee.

It did not know that voice, but just hearing it, the Rookidee could tell that the voice belonged to a being that should not be trifled with.

Shakily turning your head to the side, you saw your mother, Mitsuki entered the room from the corridor of the house.

Mitsuki:

Both you and the Rookidee immediately flinched back when you noticed the look she was giving you.

It took everything you had not to run for your life while Éclair simply smiled happy to see it's owner.

"(Y/N)...I am not happy with you." She said lowly, her eyes burning with fury as you shrunk down.

"I-I know but..." You tried to say only to be shushed by your mother as she stomped up to you with that terrifying face.

"Didn't you say you wouldn't start another fight at school?" She asked making you squeak out as you could pretty much see the fiery aura of rage around her as the poor Rookidee shivered in your hands more violently.

"Mom...listen I know what I said but..." You tried to say.

"HUSH!" She yelled angrily making you flinch back once again as sweat dripped from your brow. "THAT WAS STRIKE THREE YOU LITTLE SHIT..."

Immediately you showed your mother the scared and shivering Rookidee and almost immediately she calmed down and stared at you curiously.

"What?" Mitsuki asked looking at you.

"Found it being bullied and saved it!" You said almost immediately, your heart racing fast. "It's wing's broken, can't fly!"

Mitsuki narrowed her eyes and shifted her gaze from you and back to the Shiny Rookidee.

After a bit of silence Mitsuki sighed and gently took the shaking Rookidee in her hands.

"This isn't over." Mitsuki said lowly as she walked away with the tiny bird Pokemon.

As she walked off you let out a sigh of relief as you sat down clutching at your chest as your heart rate settled.

You turned to Éclair.

"I really owe that little guy." You sighed.

Éclair simply made a sound with it's usual smiling expression.

"You know it you derpy donut." You sighed before lying down on the floor to rest...mentally of course.
