Welcome to Unova region, my name is professor cedar. I specialize in the evolution of Pokémon and the research of new Pokémon species. Currently we are in crisis as a virus has begun to spread through the Pokémon population, turning normally calm and sweet Pokémon into violent, hard to tame monsters. I need your help to solve this problem, we're already working on a cure.

Some of the gym leaders you meet along the way would enjoy helping you out, to start I will be giving you a Pokémon so that you can start your journey, please answer the following questions from 1 to 3 one being you disagree and three being you agree.

1. I enjoy anything artistic
2. I enjoy anything athletic
3. I enjoy silence and peace

This will only have to be done for your first trainer character, please comment your answers for each of the three questions and I will notify you of your starter Pokémon as soon as I can.

The Disease:
I am calling this disease the Shadow Plague, we have yet to learn how it's spread but it seems to increase a Pokémons  power and strength especially in battle. The infected Pokémon turn darker in color and the eyes turn red, it is possible to catch these Pokémon however it takes a special pokeball known as a shadow ball to catch them. I currently have one of these pokeballs as my lab was broken into last night and all the remaining pokeballs of this type were stolen. Please be cautious around these shadow Pokémon and if you can find out I would like it very much to know who stole the shadow balls.
