Bugsy's POV

Yellow and I were finally able to find Red and Lyra somewhere west from route 35 standing outside a house with a board that said jewelery store. They were talking to a teenager boy who made a serious expression. Maybe they broke his window.

"Okay, party's over." I said, walking to the shabby old house. All four of them looked at me.

"Bugsy ?" Lyra questioned.

"Yeah, Bugsy. The friend you forgot at the restaurant".

"Uh, same." Said Yellow. We looked at each other. Yellow managed a smile.

"Sorry for that." Red walked a few steps to me. "I was curious."

"Noted. And your curiosity might've separated us." I said.

"Wow, so you do care if we aren't around." Said Lyra, in a rather sarcastic tone. "I'm impressed."

"You don't have to talk like that." Yellow complained softly.

"Okay, then. We'll get going." Red shook hands with the teenager he was standing with. The teenager and the kid walked inside without another word.

"Okay. I'm sorry. Not leaving anyone like that again. Now can we continue were already a month behind." Said Red, trying his best to hide his frustration.

Red was annoyed, I knew it, I've known him for two months now, uh, three. And I know when he's annoyed. But this was something else, he was running from something, from his past. What I didn't know was his past.

I only know that his father died in bus accident. Nothing less, nothing more.

Continuing towards the National Park. Lyra told me about what happened, and I instantly had a theory.

Red's dad was working on the Master Ball. Giovanni wanted the Master Ball in order to catch Mewtwo. Given that Red's dad's body wasn't found, what if he was alive. What if Giovanni planned the bus accident.

I was thinking while walking with my head down. I looked at the ground, not paying attention to anything else.

Suddenly, my jacket's inner left pocket began to shake. I knew what it was but I did not want others to notice. I quickly reached for it and pressed the button.

"Bugsy you all right ?" Asked Yellow.

"I'm fine." I smiled.

Red's POV

National Park - was written on a board. The beauty of the park was charismatic, with green color everywhere along with countless colorful flowers. The aroma...

"Hey guys, why does the air smell like-", said Bugsy, falling down to the ground. "Sleep-powder."

I instantly covered my nose, so did Yellow. I felt sorry for Lyra, she wasn't smart enough to do the same and fell asleep. I looked around for the source of the sleep powder.

Yellow rushed to a bush and fiddled with he leaves. She then took a deep breath.

"Wait, how did you..."

"This Bulbasaur had something on his leaf." Said Yellow. I walked to her only to see a baby Bulbasaur. "Isn't she cute ?"

"She ?" I asked.

"I did a lot of training" Said Yellow as she smiled. "Man, I want to catch a new Pokemon here."

"Okay but first we gotta wake them up." I said, pointing at Bugsy and Lyra, lying on ground.

"Uh, yes." Said Yellow. "But how ? Do you have an awakening ?"

"I thought they were only for Pokemon." I said, pulling out a spray of Awakening from my bag.

"They were." Yellow mumbled, scratching her head and adjusting her hair.

"What do you mean they were. I'm not gonna use it on Lyra and Bugsy." I put the  Awakening back in my bag. I didn't even know I was carrying one. Maybe it was an expired bottle.

I tried to wake Bugsy and Lyra up, mostly shaking both of them and shouting their names which didn't have any affect whatsoever. Meanwhile, Yellow looked for a Pokemon she could catch easily without hurting it.

What an eventful day ! I was having so much fun. Not.

Yellow's POV

I was stupid, leaving Red like that with Lyra and Bugsy sleeping was not a wise idea. Going back without catching a Pokemon would be a shame, clearly I had to find an easy target. Just a touch of the Pokeball and caught kind easy.

Wake up, Amarillo, you can not catch a Pokemon just like that. Wait, you can, you have, just be patient and you will find one. Wait, should not I focus on getting back to Kanto ? I did not even inform Uncle Walter before leaving. He would be worried sick. Orchid is also not so well, the first stop should be at Oak's. But I am also enjoying travelling with Red and group, especially Bugsy. He's like my best friend. Hm, back to Earth, look around you'll find some Pokemon, any bug type, even a grass type would do.

"Sun" Squeaked a Pokémon. The voice came from a bush, predictable.

"This is just like the last book." I said. "But this time I'll catch it without Red's help. Now, come on out, Caterpie."

I was so excited, but kind of unwilling to catch another Caterpie. Why would someone want to catch a Pokémon they already have ?

Behind the bush was the biggest...wait, yeah the biggest Sunkern. I was still hoping for a Caterpie to show up though. Sunkerns are tiny, but this one was bigger than others.

"What did they evolve into again ?" I asked myself. "Something starting with Sun. I'm smart."

I grabbed an empty Pokeball, hanging in my belt. Then, quickly enlarged it by tapping the white button in the centre.

"Let's see if I'll be able to catch you like this." I said, hoping I'll not have to battle. I closed my eyes and threw the Pokeball at the Sunkern.

The Sunkern went inside, the ball shook for a few seconds and stopped. The Sunkern flashed out of the Pokeball. It was frustrating.

"What if I become friendly or something." I said. I tossed an oran berry near the Sunkern.

The Sunkern hopped on the ground and chewed on the berry. A few moments later, I pulled out another empty Pokeball.

"For the first time, god. Let me catch a Pokemon myself." I said as I threw the Pokeball again at the poor Sunkern.

Poof. The Sunkern was caught.

"Now that's how you catch a Pokemon." Said Bugsy, clapping. Behind him were Red and Lyra. "What's that style called again ? Not Pokemon Go I guess ?"

"What's Pokemon Go ?" I asked.

"I don't know." Said Bugsy. "The random thing you just did. Just using Pokeball and Berries ? I'll call that Pokemon Go from now."

"Bugsy. For once, talk something sensible." Demanded Lyra.

"Ugh. I talk foolish only." Bugsy said. "Lyra !"

"Improve your jokes." I said. Lyra giggled. I walked to Sunkern's Pokeball and picked it up. "I sometimes think that catching Pokemon is slavery."

"Everyone does." Red agreed. "Just think about a world where Pokemon Training is not a thing. Sounds so much better."

"What are you then." Asked Bugsy. "Pokemon kidnapper ?"

"Shut up, Bugsy." Said everyone.

"Okay. Sunkern, come on out." I said. The Sunkern came out of the ball and hopped away. "Bravo, wait, Sunkern." I ran after the Sunkern.

Sunkern's POV

I did not want to be someone's Pokemon, it was the worst thing according to me. I knew me and my friends came to this park in order to get a family for ourselves.

"Max !" I shouted, looking for my friends. "Sun ! Trevor ! Where are you ?"

"What happened, Kern ? Why are you screaming ?" Asked Max, another Sunkern, and my best friend.

"A girl caught me, but I ran away." I said with hesitation.

"A girl caught you ? Why did you run away ? We've been trying our best so that a trainer catch us. And you, ran away ?" Asked Trevor.

"Give the kid some time, Trevor. She'll get used to it." Said Sun. "C'mon Kern. She is your family now. Go."

I was confused, sort of disappointed. The weather was cold for Sunkerns and the four of us couldn't collect enough food for a day. That's why we decided to be someone's Pokemon.

I did not have a good feeling about it. All of us would be separated. Suddenly, the girl from whom I've been running away, showed up.

Sun, Trevor and Max hopped towards her. "Sunkern, I've been looking for you." Said the girl. "Wait, too many of them."

I dashed to protect my friends.

"Kern, get out of the way." Said Trevor. "I want a home."

"This human is so cute." Sun sighed. Sun hopped to her leg and relaxed on it.

The girl smiled. Three more humans came running and stood beside her.

"This is like a Sunkern family." A boy in green clothes put his hand on the girls shoulder. "You know what to do."

"Oh, that's why she ran away." Said another girl with a stupid hairstyle.

A boy in red clothes searched for something in his clothes and grabbed out a Pokemon dictionary and pointed it towards us.

"Sunkern, a Seed Pokemon. It lives by drinking only dewdrops from under the leaves of plants. It is said that it eats nothing else." A voice came out of the dictionary.

The girl smiled again, pulling out three more Pokeballs and placed them in front of my best friends.

"A dream come true." Said Trevor, touching the Pokeball. He went inside and the Pokeball shook, and then flashed. Trevor was caught.

Max and Sun did the same. "Fun time, baby."

The girl placed my Pokeball in front of me and said," Trust me, it'll be great."

I hoped for the best and touched the Pokeball and went inside.
