Red's POV

"What was that?" I ran towards the door of the Burnt Tower. The sun was rising, the rain had slowed down and the wind felt warm. It was getting hotter day to day, that's probably because it was mid-June, the weather is usually like this in Kanto too around this time of the year.

"I'm also coming." Silver walked to me while I waited for him at the door.

I pushed the door open and we walked inside. The interior of the tower was in a worse condition than the exterior. The ceiling looked as if it were about to fall, the floor seemed as if it'd break if I stood there for more than a second.

Moreover, there was a huge hole in the centre. The wooden floor was broken and all that could be seen was darkness.

The man was nowhere to be seen. Silver walked around the hole while looking at it in. He walked a little closer and peeked inside to see if the bottom was visible.

"Help!" A voice screamed from the hole. "Help me!" It was the voice of the man.

"How did he even-" Said Silver. "That man is a mess."

"We need to help him." I looked at Silver. "But how."

"No, this is where you're wrong. You need to help him, you're the good guy, remember?"

"But why can't you?"

"Cause I'm not like you, Red. It's just isn't in my nature to help people." He managed a smile. "Help him!"

"But deep down, Silver. You know you want to. You wanted to be the opposite of what your dad used to do right? Become the opposite of that means doing everything that's good. And that counts helping people too. You wanted to be a hero, you wanted to make your mother proud, so you need to help."

"But why?"  He grunted.

"Cause that's what heroes do." I clenched Eevee's Pokeball tightly. "You can't be a good person just by saying that you are one. Your actions define who you are."

"We've never had a conversation about all of that. Good to know you understand me." Silver pulled out a Pokeball. "Crobat, time to fly."

Silver sent out his Pokémon and I quickly pointed the Pokedex at it.

"Crobat, a Bat Pokémon. The development of wings on its legs enables it to fly fast but also makes it tough to stop and rest." Explained the Pokedex.

Silver climbed on top of his Crobat and waved at me, signalling me to join. I walked and climbed it as well.

Crobat levitated and hovered above the hole and slowly went inside at the speed of an elevator.

The screams persisted. "Help me!"

Crobat stopped and a light could be seen in a distance. A blue light, coming out of some room of some sort.

We started walking to the room.

"What's the hurry?" Said a familiar female voice. "Get ready for trouble."

"And make it double."

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite the people within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of good and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket. Blasts off at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare for a fight."

"Meowth! That's right." Their talking Meowth jumped from nowhere.

Silver looked at them in disgust. I could tell he didn't like the presence of Team Rocket more than me.

"We were expecting those three twerps, Jessie." James said, heartbroken.

"Now what do we do?" Asked Jessie.

"Stick to the plan, idiots." Meowth scratched their faces with his sharp claws. "And let that stupid guy go, he's already screaming alot, I hate it."

"You don't tell me what to do, Meowth!" Jessie raged. "Go Wobbuffet."

"Go Weezing." James tightened his fists.

Silver and I exchanged looks and nodded at the same time.

"Go Eevee." I sent out Eevee. Silver's Crobat was already outside.

I pointed the Pokedex towards the wobble-buffet pokemon.

"Wobbuffet, a Patient Pokémon. To keep its pitch-black tail hidden, it lives quietly in the darkness. It is never first to attack." Explained the Pokedex.

"Eevee, use quick attack at the Wobbuffet."

"Wobbuffet, use Counter." Jessie commanded. The move did twice the damage to what Eevee did.

"Crobat, Confuse Ray at the Wobbuffet." Wobbuffet was confused.

"Weezing, Self-destruct at Crobat." Weezing fainted. Crobat was critically hit.

"Eevee, use Iron Tail." Wobbuffet was critically hit.

"Wobbuffet, counter at Crobat." Crobat fainted.

"Eevee, use Bite." Eevee bit Wobbuffet. Wobbuffet was unable to battle and fainted.

Jessie and James seemed sad. "Why is it, everytime we try to do something, a kid stops us?"

"It's because you don't use all of your Pokémon." Meowth said. Jessie looked at Meowth. "No. Jessie! Don't!"

"Meowth, I choose you."

"Eevee, Iron Tail." I said, pointing at Meowth. Eevee used Iron Tail. Meowth fainted.

I turned around and looked at Silver, slowly walking to the door from where the screams were coming. I looked back, Team Rocket was gone.

Eevee hopped into my arms and we walked to the door. It seemed to be a local hideout for goons.

The man was all tied up in ropes and Silver helped him get free.

"Thank you, I wasn't expecting any help from you but anyways." Said the man.

"First explain to me, who are you?" I asked. "And what were you doing here?"

"My name is Eusine." He said. "And your world is in danger."

Professor Oak's POV

"Birch!" I said, on a call with Professor Birch of the Hoenn Region. "Were you able to track it down?"

"The day you asked me to, I've been trying ever since. The asteroid crash happened but I couldn't find the triangle anywhere. It just vanished."

"How did we track it back then? When it came the previous time?"

"Oak honestly, that was years ago." Said Birch. "I don't even remember anymore. I was just an assistant, how would I know? You did all the cool stuff, you should remember."

"Cool stuff? I remember we tracked it using some sort of radiation but it was so time consuming."

"Then we'll do that, Professor."

"Birch, I said it was time consuming, do you want that thing to do all those things it did back then. We don't even know if it's species has evolved or not. I mean, what if it's stronger than the last one? It just destroyed a city, I presume? This time let it be a region, or the entire freaking world."

"Do we have any other option? Another plan? Or is it just gonna appear out of nowhere and say - hi, defeat me like you did the last time."

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't be angry at you for no reason." I said. "We just don't have enough time."

"And why is that?"

"It stays with me. I'm not allowed to share this. It's because of the things that are gonna happen." I said.

"Sometimes, you act alot stranger than you are, Professor. And trust me you're already very strange."

I grinned. "Just try to remember."

Red's POV

"What do you mean our world?" I asked. We stood outside the Burnt Tower. It was around five in the morning and I was darn sleepy.

"I am from a parallel universe." Eusine said. I was shocked. How did he manage to come all the way over here? Obviously he accidentally came here because of the breach in Goldenrod City, but that doesn't explain how he was able to get there. And did he come here to warn us about the threats about to come to our universe?

"You must be from Earth-2." I said.

"Um, so you're familiar with the idea of parallel universes?" Eusine asked. "What's Earth-2?"

"The name of the earth you're from. This is Earth-1." I said. "Okay, basically, did you live in the 90s?"

"Yes!" He said. "Wow, okay. But how did you know that?"

"Cause I've met people of your Earth, Team Rocket opened a breach in Goldenrod City a month or so back and the city broke down and all of that."

"I don't know any of that. I know I was at my house when I saw a light in my backyard and I saw a circular bubble like projection in the air. When I walked close to it, it sucked me in and at the other side, was my backyard only but it wasn't mine anymore. The bubble was gone and after I started noticing changes to the reality, I figured that I was in an alternate dimension."

"This sounds insanely ridiculous." Silver sighed. "I love it."

"I think a lot of breaches opened when Team Rocket did that." I said.

"But I didn't come here a month ago. I came here in April. Your april, obviously." Eusine said.

"Can you skip to the world is in danger part?" Asked Silver, in curiosity.

"There is a species of Pokémon only on my earth. It didn't exist here, yet." He said. "I've digged down everything, and I know that, this Pokémon is strong enough to defeat a Mewtwo in seconds."

"How is that even possible?" I asked. Silver seemed alot interested after hearing Mewtwo.

"Because of the frequencies of our earths varies. So it's alot stronger here. It came here in April, and here's how I found out." Said Eusine, showing us a newspaper article.

The newspaper belonged to the Hoenn Region, it was about an asteroid crash, and a tringular hole constructed with a purple light was visible.

"It's far more powerful than any Pokémon ever to exist on your Earth. But I researched a bit more about it and got to know, this is the second one that arrived on your Earth." Said Eusine.

"Whoa, what?!" Silver exclaimed. "When did the first one arrive? Where is it?"

"The first one came in 1970. I don't know what happened to it. That's why I'm scared. What if they are coming to your Earth using their powers to conquer it?"

"You just scared the sh-" I said. "This is scary. It's- I don't even know what to say."

"Why don't you tell NASA or something about this?" Asked Silver. "And explain what were you doing at the tower?"

"I was summoning the legendary dogs, hooing they would be able to find and eliminate it." Eusine said. "But it didn't happen. I was able to summon them back on my Earth."

"Maybe they don't exits on ours." I giggled. "What's that Pokémon called?"

"The one that can destroy your Earth?" Asked Eusine. "Deoxys."

Meanwhile, Eevee was playing around, he cane running towards me and jumped into my lap.

"Ah, at least someone is happy." I said, petting Eevee on his head. "I love your fur, Eevee."

Eevee cheered in joy. Suddenly, he started glowing blue and grew in size. Eevee was evolving, but how? It wasn't possible without any evolution stone. Did he manage to find one in the PokeCentre? No. He finally evolved.

"Haha, he doesn't have fur anymore." Silver laughed. "Also he's pink."

I pointed my Pokedex towards him.

"Espeon, the Sun Pokémon. By reading air currents, it can predict things such as the weather or its foe’s next move." Explained the Pokedex.

"Psychic type." Eusine said. "Just like Deoxys. Beasty they are."

I was a bit unhappy with the fact that he evolved into Espeon. I wanted to evolve him into Jolteon again. I was missing my Jolteon, but I knew there was no way back now. I shouldn't have tried to change anything. I knew one day I was going to travel back in time but I didn't know this would ever happen. I lost my Jolteon. No! Red! You still have it, his soul is the same. Espeon is an equivalent of your Jolteon. No need to be sad.

"Espeon, how are you feeling?" I asked. He smiled, he was happy, that's everything I wanted any of my Pokémon to be. "I'm happy for you." I smiled.
