Red's POV

It was a day when I was about to start a fresh journey. Everything seemed nice. New Pokemon, new people and especially new locations, and I was very excited to explore it all and make the adventure worth it.

'Red, you're already late', called Mom, still in her room. 'Professor Oak called up like ten times'.

I hurried down to my mom's room along with my bag. I wasn't happy saying goodbye to her again but was still excited to continue for a new adventure.

'I'm going', I said, sadly. 'Bye Mom'.

Mom hugged me. 'Bye, see you soon', said Mom. 'Oh, I'm going to miss you so much'.

'I am going to miss you too', I said, smiling. 'Pikachu ?'.

'Ah, he's out with Meowth, playing', said Mom, pointing towards the backyard.

'Bye, Mom', I said, running outside. It was chilly but spring season was close and that really was a good news.

As I walked outside, I saw Pikachu and Meowth running here and there trying to catch each other.

Pikachu stopped after seeing me and talked to Meowth. Pikachu and Meowth gave each other a high-five and Pikachu came to me.

'Come on, bud', I said, with a constant smile. 'It's time for us to go'.

Pikachu looked at Meowth. 'Pika ?', he said.

'Oh, if you want to stay, you can', I said. 'It's perfectly alright'.

Pikachu smiled and hopped upwards so that I could catch him. We hugged each other.

'Bye', I said. 'But you can always come to me whenever you want'.

I handed Pikachu his Pokeball. Pikachu held the Pokeball in his hands.

'Bye', I repeated. 'See you soon. Bye Meowth !'. Meowth ran towards me and said, 'Meowth !'. Meowth waved his hand.

I started walking to Professor Oak's Lab where my other Pokemon were, I already had Charizard in his Pokeball attached to my belt.

The air was humble and the clouds had a light pink-ish aura which moved away. The hid behind the clouds. The chirping of birds made it even better.

I ran the door bell of Professor Oak's Lab and Blue opened the door. He wore a casual black shirt with brown pants. He sure looked like a gym leader.

'Oh, good morning, Red', said Blue, with a smile no one has ever seen on his face.

'Hey, Blue. Good morning, first day of Gym Leading ?', I said, pulling my bagpack's strap upwards.

'Um, yeah. I'm pretty excited but nervous at the same time. It'll be amazing, I guess', he said, fixing his hair.

'Professor Oak's around ?', I asked.

'Nah, gramps left yesterday for Johto. He had some official work to do there', said Blue, with a sudden change of attitude.

'Oh, I just wanted to ask, how do I get to Johto ?', I asked.

'Don't worry, I'll help ya', he said. 'Let's fly !'.

Blue sent out his Pidgeot. 'Come on, send Charizard', he said.

'But I just have Charizard, rest of my Pokemon are with Professor Oak', I said.

'Is that so ?', asked Blue. 'Maybe I know where he keeps them'.

Blue walked inside leaving Pidgeot there, I held Charizard's Pokeball in my hand and followed Blue inside. Blue walked inside Professor Oak's Lab.

'See, there they are', said Blue, pointing at several glass pipes containing Pokeballs. All of the pipes were attached to a big machine.

On one of the pipes was written - Red. Just below the pipe with my name was a pipe with Leaf written on it. I looked carefully at it and it had two Pokeballs.

'Yes, her storage pipe is still there, she forgot to take her Mankey and Psyduck, but gramps will send them to Professor Rowan, who is the Professor of the Sinnoh Region', said Blue. 'Withdraw the Pokemon you want right now'.

'I'm starting a new journey, so I'll take some of my weak Pokemon. I'll choose Jolteon, Wartortle and Bulbasaur', I said.

'Okay, I'll just give them to you then', said Blue, fiddling with the machine and three Pokeballs were sucked out of the pipe'.

Blue handed the Pokeballs to me. 'There you go', he said, smiling.

'What's up with you ?', I asked, as Blue never smiled that much.

'I'm just very excited, thanks to you. If you hadn't gave up the Viridian Gym, I won't be this happy, thank you Red', said Blue. 'Now, come along, I'll show you a shortcut to the Johto Region'.

We went out side and Blue sat on his Pidgeot. He held tight and Pidgeot flied into the sky. 'Go Charizard', I said, sending out Charizard from his Pokeball.

Charizard stood in confidence and I sat on his back. 'We got to follow Blue, he knows the quickest way to Johto', I told Charizard.

Charizard looked at me and smiled, then took off in the sky, blasting like a rocket.

'First, we go to Route 28', said Blue. 'Let's see you reaches first'.

'Okay !', I said. 'This, is gonna be fun'.

Charizard flew at high speed after hearing the word fun, that was a fun definition to Charizard. I grabbed his neck tightly, he felt nothing. Charizard suddenly stopped in mid air. I looked around, Blue was way behind.

'Whoa, what just happened ?', I asked, surprised by seeing Charizard's supersonic speed. Charizard released smoke from his nose. 'Did you use you fire powers to increase your speed ?'.

Charizard nodded. 'That's awesome', I said.

'You guys are too fast, okay from here take right and continue on foot, you'll reach Tohjo Falls that connects Kanto and Johto, don't fly there as there is an air base too. And you'll reach New Bark Town', said Blue.

'And where are you going now', I asked.

'Viridian City Gym', said Blue. 'Best of luck'.

Blue flew away towards Viridian City, Charizard flew lower as I looked around searing for the way to Tohjo Falls.

Luckily, my eyes scrolled towards a sign board saying - Tohjo Falls. Great, no trouble at the first time. I almost though I'll get lost or something.

I walked on foot through the Tohjo Falls. Tohjo falls was a cave, actually with several waterfalls falling at the same spot.

As I walked, I saw a bridge going over one of the water falls that connected to another piece of land. I walked over the bridge and reached to the other other landmass.

I continued to walk further to reach to some exit of the cave and I did.

Everything went good, without any problem and I finally wished that I could battle someone here. Oh, good wishes never come true.

I exited the cave after I saw an opening, I walked out and bright sunlight attacked my eyes. But without stopping, I continued in Route 27, which I read on another sing board. There was no one to be found on the Route.

After a long walk of forty five minutes, I finally saw some houses across a water body. 'I'm not stopping at any cost', I said. 'I'm tired, okay I'm stopping. But not now, go Charizard'.

Charizard came out and I sat on his back. 'Towards those houses', I said, exhausted.

Charizard flew near to the ground, like really near, I dipped my hand into the water body, it was a lake.

Then, Charizard speeded up and stopped, making a small broken piece of land just in the middle of the street.

I looked around if no one saw that and called Charizard back. I looked around at the small town, it's houses. The fragrance was great, even better than that of Pallet Town. Then, I saw a Pokemon Laboratory, similar in structure to Professor Oak's Lab.

Outside it's door was carved - Professor Elm, Breeding Pattern Expert. I opened the door and walked inside.

A scientist who seemed to be mid-30s, sat on a chair, wearing a white lab coat along with a pair of glasses. His shirt was green in color and his pants were grey.

He looked at me and said ,'Red, hello. I'm Professor Elm'. His tone was sad along with his expression, he looked worried.

'What happened ? Why are you sad ?', I asked, curious.

'The third starter, it's stolen', he said.
