Not a lot of difficulty came to the Strawhats as they sailed off to Little Garden.

"So, Vivi. Luffy. How did the two of you meet?" Nami asked curious.

"Oh, that was six years ago. I went with mom to learn of foreign customs there." Luffy said.

"So wait, did you go over Reverse Mountain before?" Usopp asked.

"No we went another way. You see, it's supposed to be top secret, but some kingdoms and Navy Headquarters have ships that can sail though the Calm Belt, but the method is still a prototype." Luffy said for Nami to gape.

"You mean to tell me we could have done something else?!" Nami exclaimed.

"If we just took the easy way all the time, you guys would get lazy and you won't accomplish anything." Luffy explained.

"Captain has a point." Zoro said.

"Anyway, the ships have seastone strapped to the bottom. They give off the same energy as the sea..." Luffy said as it sunk in.

"Oh! I get it!" Usopp realized. "Even if they go through a nest of sea kings, the monsters wouldn't attack because they won't notice them."

"Even if they did not go through Reverse Mountain, they get into the Grand Line without trouble. Very clever." Sanji said.

"Right. Anyway, I met Vivi as mom and I were guests at Alabasta, we got along quickly as we got to know each other." Luffy smiled.

"There it is! Little Garden!" Nami said.

Only, there was nothing little about it. It looked like a type of jungle island.

"I think we should leave quickly!" Usopp shouted.

"Unfortunately we can't. We have to let the Log Pose reset so we can move to the next Island." Nami said. "Although it looks uncharted, we should stay on the ship."

"Sanji! Make me a pirate bento! And some bento for Eevee too! I'm gonna explore the island!" Luffy suddenly said.

"May I tag along too?" Vivi asked them.

"Oh sure." Luffy nodded.

"Wait, you too Vivi?!" Nami shouted.

"Why not? I'll brood if I stay here. I'll kill some time as the log pose resets." Vivi said as Luffy and Eevee returned all set. She decided to bring Absol, Genesect, Tyrantrum, Aerodactyl, and Raboot.

Once the girls were set, they ventured off into the forest.

"Wow, this kind reminds me of Fortree City back in Hoenn." Luffy said.

"Fortree City?" Vivi asked.

"It's a special medium sized town in the Hoenn Region. The residents of Fortree City live in treehouses and get around by a system of rope bridges that hang in the treetops. Due to the physical exertion needed for such a lifestyle, they are all healthy and fit, and by preserving Fortree's natural environment they are able to live nearer to wild Pokémon than the residents of most other cities. Wild Bug-type Pokémon often fly in through the windows, and from time to time wild Kecleon will block paths in the city. The heavy rainfall saturates the soil and lets the trees grow tall." The pirate-princess explained.

"So they live in actual treehouses?!" Vivi asked amazed.

"They are other interesting places in Hoenn, it has one active volcano, Mt. Chimney, in the northwest of the region. The ash from Mt. Chimney regularly falls on the nearby towns and routes like Fallarbor Town. In the fields of Fallarbor, the locals plant seedlings of hardy trees that thrive even in volcanic ash making it a farming community. Then there is Sootopolis City, it rises from the crater of a great meteoroid crash, can only be reached through the sea or from the sky. It also has a fantastic nighttime view, with stars peering in through the top of the crater. The crater was formed by a giant meteorite impact into the ocean of the Hoenn region a thousand years ago, eventually filling with rainwater. People soon began to dwell in the crater for its warm, fresh water and a city soon came forth." Luffy explained as she talked about the other regions.

As Vivi was about to ask something else, they encounter some thing unbelievable.

It was a dinosaur!

"This is a prehistoric island!" Vivi said.

"Prehistoric? Really?!"

"Yes, because of the dangers of the Grand Line many islands have been isolated, each island gaining its own culture. Some are very advanced, others remain unchanged for thousands of years. This island is stuck in time!"

Before it tried to eat Luffy.

But someone had cut off its head before she would get eaten.

The two girls and Pokémon greeted with the sight of a giant.

He was a well-built giant with a long beard. He wore a viking attire with a helmet that goes over his eyes.

"Gegyagyagyagya! I was watching. What a lively human woman you are, grappling with the long necks in this this jungle. You're the first guests I've seen in a long time. I'm Dorry, Elbaf's strongest warrior! Gegyagyagyagya!" The giant was quite good-natured and Luffy joined in quickly to his laughing. She noticed that Carue and Vivi were both in a state of shock of the appearance of the giant. But she felt so comforted by the large presence.

"I'm Luffy, captain of the Strawhat Pirates!" She introduced herself and did a little curtsy for Dorry. The man bowed with her still in his hand and answered back with a large grin on his face.

"Gegyagyagyagya! A pirate?! Good for you! Gegyagya!"

"Oh yeah, these are two of my companions. This is Vivi and Carue. And the one on my shoulder is Eevee. It's a pleasure from all of us to meet you, Dorry!" She stated, smirking as she saw Vivi glaring at her for revealing her location to the giant that was now also staring at her. Vivi had just been trying to escape after all.

"I'll invite all of you guys to my home!" Dorry said and laughed, he then picked up Vivi and Carue after Luffy and Eevee jumped up to his shoulder. He lived right next to the large mountain, which upon closer inspection, Jasmine found to be actual bones of some creature. Dorry was quite the gracious host, he made them a large bone of dinosaur meat.

And thought it frightened Vivi, she was happy to say the two of them were becoming fast friends.

As Luffy and Dorry chatted, the former let her other Pokemon out so they could eat too.

"Oh, I've never seen these kinds of animals before." Dorry said curious.

Cue Sparks.

"Absol the Disaster Pokémon

Swift as the wind, Absol races through fields and mountains. Its curved, bow-like horn is acutely sensitive to the warning signs of natural disasters. Because of this Pokémon's ability to detect danger, people mistook Absol as a bringer of doom.

Tyrantrum the Despot Pokemon

This Pokémon is from about 100,000,000 years ago. It has the presence of a king, vicious but magnificent. Thanks to its gargantuan jaws, which could shred thick metal plates as if they were paper, it was invincible in the ancient world it once inhabited.

Raboot the Rabbit Pokémon

Its thick and fluffy fur protects it from the cold and enables it to use hotter fire moves.It kicks berries right off the branches of trees and then juggles them with its feet, practicing its footwork.

Aerodactyl the Fossil Pokémon

Aerodactyl is a Pokémon from the age of dinosaurs. It was regenerated from genetic material extracted from amber. It is imagined to have been the king of the skies in ancient times. Aerodactyl's sawlike fangs can shred skin to tatters—even the skin of Steel-type Pokémon.

Genesect Paleozoic Pokémon

Over 300 million years ago, it was feared as the strongest of hunters. It has been modified by Team Plasma."

"Wait, three of them are Prehistoric Pokémon?" Vivi asked.

"Yeah, back in the Pokémon world we have technology that can bring them back to life from fossils." Luffy said.

"Bring them back to life?! Your world sounds interesting!" Dorry laughed.

"By the way, what are you doing living on this island? You don't look like a native here." Luffy asked, curious about why Dorry was here. This didn't seem like the type of place many would be in, even giants.

"I do come from another island, its elsewhere on the Grandline. There're rules in my village. For example, if we start a fight in the village and both sides can't back off, we are judged by Elbaf's god. Elbaf's god always gives divine protection to the righteous one and lets him survive. I caused some trouble with a fellow giant and this island is currently the site for our duel. The righteous one will win the duel and survive. Gegyagyagyagya! But we haven't been able to settle this for a hundred years." Dorry laughed.

"You've been fighting each other for a hundred years?!" Vivi exclaimed, her face contorted into disbelief at the number.

"It's nothing, our lifespan is at least three times as long as an average human. Gegyagyagyagya!" Off in the distance a volcano began to erupt...or the girls believed it was. It was making a large sound.

"Well, time to go..." Dorry said and the girls turned to see him get up.

His face was suddenly very tense, and all sense of his kind self was wiped away.

That fight he was talking about...it was about to start again.

Luffy realized.....

"It became a routine before we realized it." Dorry began to put back on his armor, his shield and and sword all he needed to protect himself. "The eruption of the central volcano is the signal for the duel."

"Why do you continue to fight? It's been a hundred years. You can't possibly hold onto hate for that long. What reason do you have to fight?" Vivi questioned Dorry as he began to go.

"It's nothing like that Vivi. This is a battle for their pride. To back down would be a sin against their traditions, people and God. Its their way of life. They can't stop fighting, not even if they really wanted to." The captain explained to Vivi, and Dorry nodded, before he burst off. And then there was a loud clashing of metal against metal. It resonated across the land and Luffy and Eevee fell back in shock. "Huge duel!" "Eeveeee!"

 Their duel rocked the land around them and she could only listen as with their strength they were able to destroy practically everything. And then all she could hear was their laughter resonating through the land.

Of course it ended in another draw......

Dorry soon came back carrying barrels of alcohol that his opponent had gotten from the ones on their ship. Dorry was happy to know that Broggy's guests were their nakama. It was Usopp, the twins and Nami who were with the other giant at the moment. 

Luffy giggled when she realized that they had somehow been taken off their 'safe haven' by the other giant. Vivi then asked about the Log Pose taking a year, and it was confirmed. And Dorry suggested that they move forward randomly.

 He was about to drink from the barrel when Absol tensed and moved in quick succession, destroying the barrel before it got to Dorry's mouth.

"What was that for little creature? That was good alcohol!"

"Wait. Remember what Sparks said about Absol?" Luffy asked as she looked over the barrel.

Vivi gasped as she realized. "There was an explosive in there?!"

"Yeah, and it's not from our ship. Can only mean one thing. Baroque Works is here." The girl said tense.

"Eh? What do you mean?" Dorry asked.

" Someone else is on this island, a group of bounty hunters, that is trying to kill us. They probably did that to have you guys kill us." Vivi explains.

"But that means the others...are also in danger!" Luffy realized. They were about to shoot off when Dorry stood up.

"Thank you for protecting our duel, little lady! Now we must go and help your friends, and destroy these dishonorable enemies of yours. I am in your debt or saving my life," Dorry said.

"Sure, we have to warn Broggy as he could be in danger too." Vivi nodded. "Everyone but Tyrantrum, Genesect and Aerodactyl return. Genesect, Aerodactyl, you're with me. Vivi, stick with Dorry and get back to the ship. Dorry, stay with Vivi; she's their main target. Tyrantrum, you help them however you can." Luffy commanded as The group nodded.

Vivi was impressed. Her old friend can be carefree at times, but when she gets into captain mode, she takes precautions to protect her crew.

Genesect got into the aircraft form and took off with Luffy.

Soon, Rodan caught a slight smell of candle wax. There were more people here.

"Nami! Usopp!" Luffy shouted from the sky, shocking Nami and Usopp who burst up to a standing position at seeing their captain all of a sudden.

"Get back to the boat. Baroque works is here, they tried to screw up the fight between Dorry and Broggy but Dorry's fine. Get back to the boat, with Rodan. Then look for the others." Nami and Usopp nodded, obeying their orders, and Nami was a little too enthusiastic. Usopp on the other hand was sad, he had found someone to look up to, and promised he would do his best to become a Brave Warrior of the Sea, just like Broggy. Then the two ran off, back to the boat.

Broggy thanked them for respecting their duel, and was quite happy to have met them.

Meanwhile,

Sanji was talking to the boss and telling Mr. 0 that he had received some packages. Whatever that package was, the she-pirate had no clue. When Sanji saw her, he waved her in quietly so as not to be suspicious of the boss. The boss told Sanji, disguised as 'Mr. Prince', that they, Baroque Works had succeeded they were heading back to Alabasta as soon as possible,

Then Sanji hung up, and he picked up the box and opened it. Inside was an Eternal Log Pose, set for Alabasta.

"Is that one of the Eternal pose? To Alabasta?!" Luffy asked.

"Right! We have a way to Alabasta now!" Sanji said.

"Sanji, take it and go back to the ship. Protect those there. After we're finished kicking some ass, we'll get going for Alabasta," Luffy said as she and Eevee headed off to find the intruders.

Baroque Works had been trudging all over the island at this point looking for the crew.

Luffy and her Pokemon then spotted four people gathered, and the two new ones were obviously ranked third if the new guy's hair was anything to go by.

He was yelling at Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine about how the giant didn't drink the barrel and kill him. Apparently, he was interested in their hundred-year-old bounties. The two giants used to be pirates themselves, each with a hundred million Belli heads.

"Genesect, target them with Lock On." Luffy said as the Upgraded Pokémon did so.

"Alright, now, Genesect, give em a surprise Thunderbolt." She said.

The Paleozoic Pokemon did so, electrifying the four individuals.

Only Mr. 3 was able to stand up again.

He stood and looked at her, an arrogant air around him. "Ah, so you are the ones helping the princess. It was very foolish of you to reveal yourselves! Now you shall see what the higher level officer agents can do. Prepare to die. But don't worry you shall even more beautifully after you die, my art will help your beauty transcend what it is now! Candle Lock!" From his hands, wax began to pour out onto the ground. But Genesect and Aerodactyl helped them get off the ground.

Raboot was out, but the wax did nothing against its fire attacks. In fact, she was getting faster.

To Luffy's surprise, Raboot began glowing and changing.

She was now a Cinderace!

"Wha?! What happened to that rabbit?!" Mr 3 yelled.

"Bzzt, Cinddra evolved into

Cinderace the Rabbit Pokémon.

It juggles a pebble with its feet, turning it into a burning soccer ball. Its shots strike opponents hard and leave them scorched." Sparks popped up.

"That's not all. Cinderace, Pyro Ball! Eevee, Secret Power! Genesect, Energy Ball! Absol, Shadow Ball! Aerodactyl, Meteor Beam! Combo Move: Cataclysmic Wrath! And...........Gum-Gum.........Gatling Gun!" Luffy shouted as she unleashed her move as well, giving Mr. 3 a good beating.

The latter was now out cold.

After tying the agents all up, they were placed on a small boat and cast out to sea, taking their Little Garden Little Garden log pose. They would never mess with the two giants ever again.

Once they were all reunited with the others, they were back on course to go to Alabasta.
