Now the Going Merry was back on course for the Grand Line.

She had permission from Nami the other day to create her own garden along with Nami's tangerine trees.

She had planted various berries: Cheri chesto, pecha, aspear, leppa, lum, oran, persim, rawst, roseli, sitrus, tamato, mago, magost, Golden pinap, silver pinap, starf, watmel, and nanab for early future use. Along with seeds to grow Hearty Grains, Plump beans, springy mushrooms, pokebeans, potatoes, fancy apple seeds, leeks, sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy Herb mystica, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, bell peppers, various fruits, watercress and Basil.

She was checking on her personal garden as she found the veggies and fruits all grown and ripe and the berries were all flowering already again.

"Whoa! This all grew in a short matter of time!" Usopp exclaimed as he saw the mini farm.

"Well I'll need it to make the treats and meals for us and my Pokémon. It will also help ease the pain of spending money on produce and crops for Sanji and Nami." Luffy said as they gathered the produce and grain to store away.

"What did you do to make them grow so fast though?" Zoro asked.

"Some of my grass Pokémon can use Growth, Sunny Day and Rain Dance to help me out. It works wonders along with my ultra fast mulch. Back on the Pokémon world, we get this help to regrow a lot of produce within a few days and not have to expand farmland." She said.

"Wow! Wish we had that here!" Usopp said.

"Nami-san! I have a report!" Sanji said from the Crow's nest. "I see big rain clouds up ahead! There's a storm under'em!" Sanji finished.

"We are approaching the Red Line?" Yukiko asked walking over to Nami; who kept looking down at the map in her hands.

"We're back on to our original course, so it shouldn't be long. However..." Luffy's arms stretched up to the crows nest and landed beside Sanji."The Grand Line, at last!"

"I know, it's exciting Luffy-Chama!"

Nami frowned, "But is it really like how it's drawn here?" She thought staring intently at the map, if it was really accurate then they still had a pretty big hurdle to climb before they could even take a shot at the Grand Line.

Satisfied that there were no marines in the distance waiting to ambush them. They all conveyed inside. "Look at this!"

Nami said slapping the map down on to the table in front of everyone. Who all stuffed closer to see what the navigator found so interesting. "I'd heard the rumors about it, and it's drawn on the map, too! If it really is true then the entrance to the Grand Line Is a mountain!" The reaction was as expected.

"-We'll gotta crash into a mountain?" Zoro deadpanned.

"You can't be serious." Usopp exclaimed from his post on the rudder. "How is a ship supposed to travel over a mountain?!"

"I didn't believe it myself, but the map has canals that lead to the mountain." Nami traced her finger tips over the drawings of the canal that lead up from the sea of East Blue to the summit. "That might mean we have to go up it!"

"Even if there are canals. The ship can't climb up a mountain!" Zoro pointed out.

"But that's what the map says!" Nami argued back.

"Yeah, Nami-san would never say anything that's wrong!" Sanji jumped to Nami's defence.

"Anyway, You stole that map from Buggy, right? Can we really trust it?" Asked Zoro and it was a good point.

"I dont know. If huge sea monsters and dragons are real in this world. Why can't there be a canal that flows in reverse?" Luffy countered as she's seen unnatural things in the Pokémon World too.

". . ." No one could argue with her logic.

"What's the matter Usopp?" Luffy asked, the sniper. He'd been making strange noises and moving about all around rudder.

"The rudder the rudders not working!" Usopp shouted.

"I'll help." She said as she pulled but she realized it was stuck, which meant something is wrong. "Nami, the rudder is not moving, I think we caught a current."

"Eh?! Ehat did you just say?" Nami said finally paying attention to the struggle behind her.

"She.grr....She said 'I think we caught a current'!" Usopp grunted in a strained voice.

"Current. . ." Nami trailed off. "That's it!" Nami exclaimed suddenly. Kicking herself for not seeing it sooner.

"That's what?" Luffy echoed.

"They really do go up the mountain!"

"Are you still saying that stuff?!" Zoro said.

"Look here!" Nami said pointing at Reverse Mountain. "See? The guiding light was defiantly pointing to here on the Red Line. . . Reverse Mountain!"

"See these canals here?" Nami pointed to the five canals. "If the major currents from the four oceans all flow toward this mountain. . ." Nami dragged her finger up the drawing of the canal came from East Blue until to the center.

"Then the four currents would go up these canals, collide at the top, and then flow into the Grand Line!" Nami put her hands and her hips and stood up straight. "Reverse mountain is a 'winter Island', so any currents that collide into the Red Line will plummet from the surface into the depths. If we screw up and miss the entrance to the canal. . . "

"We're sunk." Luffy finished with realization, "I'll get my muscle Pokémon for this!" She said getting her PC out and swapping out her Pokeballs.

She decided on Dragonite, Wailord, Buzzwole, Lucario, and Machamp.

"Anyways, now that we're on this current. As long as we don't mess up with the rudder, we should be able to go straight to the summit of Reverse Mountain!"

"Nami-san! You're so amazing!" Sanji swooned.

"I've never heard of ships going over mountains before." Zoro said he still didn't belive that it was possible for water to travel upward and defy gravity.

"I've heard some stuff before!" Sanji smiled.

"Really?" Luffy asked.

Sanji told them, "I heard from the old man that half of everyone who heads to the Grand Line dies before entering it. . .I knew getting in wouldn't be easy."

"-Sanji-kun! Could you get the sail?" Nami shouted over the pelting rain. They needed to act quickly and furl in the sails before the storm knocked them out if the current or it the wind tore a hole into it.

"-Yes, Nami-san! Luffy help out!"

"-Eh?!" Luffy moaned.

"Come out, Buzzwole, Machamp! Help  Sanji!" Luffy said as the muscular Pokémon appeared to help and gathered the ropes.

"Ah! Giant bug!" Sanji said almost falling off.

Cue Sparks.

"Buzzwole the Swollen Pokémon

One of the Ultra Beasts, It shows off its body, but whether that display is a boast or a threat remains unclear. Witnesses saw it pulverize a dump truck with a single punch."

As her powerhouse Pokémon moved to help, she strained her eyes as she tried to get a better look at the stop of red that she could see between the ocean and the Storm clouds.

"I think I see it!" She yelled to everyone who halted what they were doing to look.

"What?!" They all gaped.

"I see Reverse Mountain!" Luffy shouted getting everyone's attention.

"T-thats insanely huge!" Usopp stuttered in awe, he couldn't see the top. "I-I-I can't see the top because of the clouds!"

The ship suddenly lurched to the side when it was snagged in an even stronger current than the one they were in before.

Luffy got all her Pokémon except Neptune out. As he would serve as a backup in case something goes wrong.

" Hold the rudder good!" She shouted.

"-We're on it!" Sanji and Usopp shouted.

"Nami! Where's the entrance?!" The captain squeaked when she was jerked again by the ships ridged rocking.

Nami followed where he was pointing with her eyes. "Yeah! Your right that's it!" She clapped her hands in triumph.

"What where!" Usopp yelled, trying to keep as firm a grip on the rudder as it shifted from one side to the other with the changing currents.

"Doesn't matter just keep going straight!" Nami said not taking her eyes off the entrance for a second. They only had one shot do she had to watch closely, if she was off in lining them up to the entrance by even a few centimetres. The ship would crash and they'd all be sucked into the whirlpools that were dotted all along the side of the Red Line and drown.

"Your kidding!" Usopp cried.

"Just do it!" Nami snapped.

"Nami is that the canal entrance?" Luffy asked jumping down next to her with Eevee on her shoulders.

"Yeah it is! Look!" She pointed.

"This can't think be for real!" Zoro gasped staring intently through a pair of binoculars. The water really was going up the mountain!

"We gotta make our way through to see water gates just right!" Nami said, large stone pillars that had tribal drawing carved in to the rock lined the sides of the canal up the mountain, there were at least thirty of them all climbing the mountain with the ocean.

Nami continued. "Otherwise the ship'll be busted into prices!"

"W-we're getting off course!" Luffy shouted when the front of the ship started to drift away from the entrance. " Usopp! Sanji! More to the right! Right! Right!" She exclaimed frantically. They were too close to making it in to the Grand Line for them to fail now.

"Okay Luffy-Chama!" Sanji said as he pushed the uncooperative rudder with all his strength along with the other two!

"Come on, now!" Usopp strained. But the rudder buckled and snapped off, sending the two crashing into the kitchen table.

Everyone's jaws hit the floor in terror. "THE RUDDER!" They all screamed.

But Luffy took the initiative, she dived over the side of the ship. "Gum-Gum: . . Balloon!"

Luffy took a deep breath and inflated using her body to cushion and protect the ship from the stone pillars it almost crashed into, she thrust out his chest and pushed the ship away and realigned it with the climbing current.

The ship now in the current sailed right passed it's captain leaving him in the sea spray. But Dragonite got Luffy back to the ship.

Everyone was now smiling as they made it in.

But then.......

"Curse you all!"

That came from a certain man they thought was long gone.

"The Sicko!" Usopp exclaimed.

"My names Eric!"

"Your still alive!" Zoro muttered.

"What tiny eyes!" Luffy pointed out.

Eric must have lost the thin sunglasses he was wearing when Zygarde kicked his ass as he didn't have them on. "Shut up!" Eric bellowed over everyone's muttering.

"Curse the whole lost of you, you especially girl!" Eric said pointing at Luffy. "Thanks to you my dream of dragonite has been crushed! I can't just leave things as they are now!"

"You reap what you sow!" She snapped.

"I don't want to hear a word from you!" Eric shouted. "At the very least, I'll have your 130 million Berry head! And with the strange creatures you have. The money I'll make from selling them to the marines along with his bounty will set me up for life! Just surrender to your fates! hahaha!"

But then Buzzwole popped from behind him with deadly intent.

"Eh.....?" Eric said weakly.

The massive bug moved his fist so fast that Eric didn't see it coming and he was punched off the boat. He fell backwards and skipped on the water down the canal like a stone been thrown across a river surface.

"Well, so much for that. Good job Buzzwole!" Luffy giggled. "Eev!"

"Buzz!"

"We don't have to worry about him, he can't swim so he won't be following!" Nami laughed.

"Given this current, being able to swim wouldn't matter anyways!" Usopp said gleefully.

Then Luffy and Eevee headed to the figurehead.

"Whoa! We're in the clouds!" Luffy shouted. "I can see the summit!"

When the ship got to the top of the mountain it's lost its connection with the water and went flying into the air.

The ship plummeted back down into the downward flowing canal. The crew screamed when they were no longer on the ship but in the air for a split second before falling back down on to the ship with a loud crash.

"We did it! We are in the Grand Line!" Luffy said.

And everyone looked on the current with smiles and anticipation

"To do what Mihawk said. . ."

"To find the All Blue there. . ."

"To draw my perfect sea charts. . ."

"To prove I'm a brave warrior of the sea. . ."

"I see it!" Luffy gasped. "This is the greatest sea in the world! The Grand Line! The One Piece is up ahead, somewhere! ! GO!"

"Whoa! This is great!" Sanji exclaimed elated half way up the rigging, he couldn't see anything for the misty white sheen caused by the cloud the ship had entered a moment ago on their decent down Reverse Mountain.

"This is awesome!" Luffy exclaimed as the wind blew through her hair and the salty sea spay hitting her face felt wonderful as Eevee squealed in delight.

"Did you just hear something?" Zoro asked.

"Huh? What did you say?" Nami asked.

"Did, you hear that loud sound?!" Zoro said louder.

"Isn't it the wind?" Nami asked. "There must be lots of unusual landforms!"

"Wait, isn't something up ahead?" Luffy and Eevee looked confused. Just as she said that...........The once white clouds that were straight ahead start to darken.

They could just about make out the shape through the clouds constant shifting, it was oval and huge and was increasing to even bigger proportions the closer they got.

The same sound from before was heard again this time by everyone. "What the hell making that sound!" Usopp yelled over the wind.

"Nami-san, I see a mountain up ahead!" Sanji shouted down. The dark shape was growing bigger and bigger as they got closer to where the canal was supposed to meet the open sea.

"A mountain! That can't be!"

"But it's really there!" Sanji exclaimed.

"After passing the Twin Capes up ahead, there should be nothing but ocean!" Nami didn't understand was the map wrong- but it had been right about everything else.

"Huh?"

"Oh no." Yukiko blanched along with her Pokémon.

Right in the path the ship was going to take was a huge black object.

"OH CRAP!" Usopp screamed.

"It's not a mountain!" Luffy's jaw hit the floor. "That's.....!"

"Then, what is it!" Usopp snapped.

"I-i-i-it's a WHALE!" The captain cried as she and Eevee scrambled off the figurehead.

"What are we going to do?!" Usopp screamed like a girl.

"The paths blocked!" Sanji shouted. "What are we going to do!"

"Can't we turn the ship and go threw the gap," she pointed. "Over there!"

"But the rudders broken! How will we turn the ship!" Usopp bawled.

"Wait if it's a whale and not a wall! Where's it's eyes!" Sanji said, maybe the whale hadn't seen them and that's why it was still in the way. "Maybe if we can get its attention it'll get out if the way!"

"But unless we do something, we'll run right into it!" Zoro. "Can't we get out of the side?!"

All hope of avoiding the huge whale seemed lost as they approached the great creature at blinding speeds.

But their captain gained an idea.

"Everyone, return! Dragonite! Try and slow down the ship with Tailwind!

Dragonite nodded and blew wind into the sails to slow it down. But it was no use the ship had only slowed down slightly, the downward pull of gravity was too strong and the ship continued on its collision course.

Luffy had lost her footing and she and Eevee fell off the boat. Thankfully, Dragonite quickly reacted and caught her. "Thanks girl."

The whale began to call out. The sound reverberated off the water and shook the she-pirate to the bone and through the heart. The call was filled with loneliness and determination.

"Where's Luffy-Chama?!" Sanji cried.

"Back around at the front of the whale most likely!" Nami cried.

For a moment it appeared as if the whale hadn't felt the hit. But then it looked at them.

The whale opened its mouth and let out a big cry. At the same time though the mouth acted like a vacuum and the sea water was slowly sucked into the giant mouth along with the ship.

"-Luffy!" Nami exclaimed as they were sucked in.

Then Luffy spotted something on the whale's back.

It looked like a door. In fact it was!

"Why is there a door on top of a whales head?!" She spluttered, as Dragonite scrambled to it as The whale shook again it was diving back in to the sea again. Thankfully, Luffy, Eevee and Dragonite got inside.

Locking the door tightly, her jaw dropped. There was a walkway inside of the whale! The interior of the whale looked like what the inside of a submarine might be.

"Why is there a passage way in a whale!" Luffy said.

They walked through the passageway for a while before it opened up into a tunnel-like area. There was a river of water- not blood- thankfully, and a walkway on each side.

"This is creepy!" Luffy shivered as the inside of the whale was cold. She and Eevee got on Dragonite again for them to fly faster.

After a while...

The whale must have lurched downward as Luffy, Eevee and Dragonite began crashing in to the walls. But Dragonite regained her flight and followed the movement of the whale

Until she saw two people with big bazooka guns.

However, the pull of gravity from the whale's movements made the people fall out

"The sky!" Wait. Why was there a sky inside the whale!? but then Luffy spotted the ship. Her crew was alright!

"Hey! So everyone's okay?" Luffy said on Dragonite.

"Luffy! Eevee! Youre alright!" Usopp said.

"Looks like the whale calmed down." Sanji said as the two other people were rescued as well.

"Seems like it. Now. . ." Zoro said idly turning around. "We did save you guys for the time being, but who are you?" Zoro said questioning the two people Luffy rammed into earlier.

"Mr. 9, they're pirates." The blue haired woman said to her fake crown wearing companion.

"I-I know, Miss Wednesday. B-but if we talk to them, they should understand. . . Perhaps. . ." The man trailed off after glaring at all their even stares.

"You thugs're still around." Said the old man Crocus from up on the platform in front of the door Eevee, Luffy and the two suspicious people came through.

"-Huh?" They all said minus the two weirdos.

"-Don't make me say this yet again! I won't let you lay a finger on Laboon as long as I'm alive!"

"Who's that old man?" Asked Luffy. 'Laboon? does he mean the whale?'

The trainer was looking from the man to the two people in front of her then back up to the old man.

The woman began to chuckle rising to her feet she picked up one of the bazookas that the captain had seen them with before. "Even if you say so, we can't leave."

"Taking down this whale is our mission. . ." The man said mirroring the woman and also picking up his weapon. "We won't let you interfere with our whale hunting this time!"

"Whale Hunters?" Luffy said to herself.

They positioned their weapons ready to fire. "We'll open an air vent in his stomach! Let's go, baby!"

"Dragonite! Intercept!" She shouted.

The Dragonite used Extreme Speed to help the old man and deflected the cannons with Protect.

"Ah! A Dragon! I thought they were myths!"

"Where did it come from?!

"Sorry, but I can't let you do that." Yukiko said as Luffy was back on the ship. "He is protecting the whale after all."

"But why should we protect it, it ate us!" Nami exclaimed.

"But we almost attacked first." Luffy countered.

That broke Usopp out of his daze. "Yeah! Now, that you mention it. . ."

"We were the one's to attack first. . ." Sanji trailed off.

"HA! Ha! Ha! Stop this unless resistance!" The woman sneered.

"If you want to protect the whale that badly, go right ahead." The man mocked. "We'll turn it into food for our town!"

The two continue to laugh at the old man. Until Luffy had had enough. She walked over to the two cackling hyenas, grabbed both their heads and smashed them together. Knocking them out instantly.

"Luffy. . . ?" Usopp questioned awkwardly.

"I dont tolerate animal cruelty."

"But you have your Pokémon battle..." Usopp said only for Luffy to glare at him.

"Most Pokémon want to battle to get stronger; they live by survival of the fittest, but they team up with trainers to do so. This is different." Luffy said making Usopp shut up.

"I thank you for saving me." The man, Crocus said.

"Your welcome, but, who are these guys?" Nami questioned.

"They're thugs from a nearby town. They're after whale meat." Explained Crocus. "A whale of Laboon's size could feed the townspeople for at least 2-3 years, so. . ." Crocus told them all. "It's the world's largest Whale, it's called the Island Whale, which only live in the West Blue." Crocus said staring off into the distance. "I won't let them have him as food. There's a reason he keeps hitting himself on the Red Line and howling at Reverse Mountain."

"It's loneliness, right?"

Crocus turned to look up at Luffy. "Yeah, how did you know?!"

"Ive been around numerous animals all my life. I have figured what it expresses in their voice. I heard pain and loss." She said softly. It was almost unbearable to listen.

"What happened? Did he lose his family pod?" Usopp questioned.

"No. He's a whale with a human heart. And he's been devotedly waiting for a certain pirate group. . . For 50 long years. . ."

They all listened with bated breaths as Crocus told them about the promise made to Laboon and the heartache caused by it not been carried through.

Apparently Laboon was separated from his pod as a baby but he was found by a nice pirate crew and stuck with them until they decide to journey into the Grand Line. Laboon had to stay with Crocus until they would return.

But they never did. Whether they just abandoned the Whale or died on the Grand Line, Crocus does not know.

But Laboon, despite the 50 years, refuses to believe it.

So he rams into the mountain as if to go look for them.

Luffy felt sad learning of this. She had many Pokémon who were abandoned by their old trainers or the latter passed on, so she knew what Laboon was going through. But she could tell that this whale still has hope.

Luffy decided to chat with Laboon.

The others watched as Luffy was actually talking to him, and decided on something.

"Why don't we have a battle? You can see how strong we are." Luffy offered.

Laboon looked at her and gave a squeak in approval.

Luffy smiled as she got Wailord out to everyone's surprise, he was about as big as Laboon.

"Whoa! Luffy didn't say she had a whale too!" Usopp shouted.

"Hope you are ready, Laboon! Wailord, start it off with Mist!" Luffy said and a dense fog emerged around the battlefield.

Laboon could barely see through it.

"Alright, Heavy Slam!" A direct hit!

The fight between the two whales was intense! However, Crocus could tell Wailord was more experienced.......after a while.......Laboon looked exhausted, while Wailord had some bumps but could still fight.

"It's a draw." Huh?

"See? I'm strong." Luffy said with a smile.

She was giving Laboon a new reason to hope.

Laboon teared up and bellowed, but this time, instead of loss, his cry was one of excitement.

"Looking good!" Luffy praised Usopp's handy work. "This is our rematch promise! So until we come back, Don't go hitting the wall and rubbing the mark off!"

Now Laboon sported the Jolly Roger of the Strawhats, which covered the entire front of Laboon's head, masking most of the scars.

"YOSH!"

At lunch, she let Wailord stay out to play with Laboon.

"Hey what happened to those two?" Usopp asked as they put away the paint.

"Oh those two. They must've run off." Nami said airly. "I wonder who they were anyway. . ."

"Weirdos." Zoro said.

"Just forget about them their not important." Luffy said.

Nami nodded in agreement.

The captain went to the kitchen to gather the drinks and food she got for Sanji to make. They included Golden Pinap juice, Master classic Bocadillo, Snow Cloak Ceaser Salad, Spicy and Sweet Tropical Curry, and creamed, strawberry, and chocolate malasadas.

(I know about the Log Pose, but since Luffy told Nami about the Log Pose before, I'll just make that Mr 9's log was destroyed in their escape.)

"Golden Pinap juice, Master classic Bocadillo, Snow Cloak Ceaser Salad, Spicy and Sweet Tropical Curry, and creamed, strawberry, and chocolate malasadas. Thanks for helping me make them Sanji." Luffy said as she grabbed a salad and some curry and a malasada.

"Anything for you, Luffy-Chama!" Sanji said as he also gave a salad to Eevee.

"Good news. Once we are finished with lunch, we can head off." Nami said as the Log was ready as she grabbed some curry.

"Great! Its a good idea that Luffy told you about the Log Pose or we would be in trouble." Usopp said.

As they ate, Crocus told them about the seven magnetic fields that were starting points for all those who travel over Reverse Mountain. And how, in the end, they all lead to the last Island Raftel.

"In all history, the only person known to have confirmed it's existence. . . Was the Pirate King. The island is legendary."

"Raftel. . ." Nami said.

"So it has to be there then... the One Piece!" Usopp exclaimed.

"Who knows. Thats the most prominent theory, but no one has been able to reach there."

"We'll know once we get there." Luffy said, taking a sip of her juice and petting Eevee who was eating a malasada.

As Luffy was getting her Pokémon back in their Pokeballs, she had let Laboon and Wailord say goodbye to each other.

However, the two troublemakers from before came back and wanted a request of all things.......

"Whisky Peak?" Luffy asked.

"What's that?" Usopp asked the two.

"Thats where we live. . . uhm, sir." Replied the crown wearing man.

"What happened to your own ship?" Nami glared down at them.

"Its busted." The woman said, trying to sound cute.

"Isn't that a smart thing to ask, Mr.9, after trying to kill the Whale?" Nami frowned.

"So what are you guys?" Usopp interrogated.

"I'm a king."

"Liar." Nami deadpanned tugged on his cheek.

"We can't say." The blue haired woman said as if just the thought of revealing their identity was painful.

"But we want to go back to the town." The fake king was back on his knees pleading. "We don't want to be secretive, either, but. . ."

The woman finished the rest of what Mr.9 was going to say. "But the motto of our company is ''mystery'' Its our rule. . ."

"We just can't tell you anything about us."

"Sounds shady." Sanji said blandly watching the two flinch.

They bowed even lower. "Pacing confidence in your character, we're begging you."

"Don't do it. No matter what they say, they're dishonest people." Crocus warned.

After a little chat though........

"You can ride with us." Luffy told them.

"HUH?!"

"Did you say Whisky Peak? Let's go there."

"What?"

"Hey, are you serious!?" Usopp spluttered. "We're troubling ourselves taking these shadowy people?"

"Whats the problem? Don't worry about the small things." Luffy said calmly. Not at all bothered by the concerns the others had regarding the two before them. "Besides if they do anything, we can beat them up. Right, Eevee?"

"Eevee!" Her partner chirped.

"I see. . ." Sanji said taking a drag of his cigarette.

Turning back around Luffy sighed, "Now, shall we get going? Now I've made a promise with the Whale. Let's get ready to set sail."

"Who on earth are you?" Miss Wednesday asked Luffy, who was in the middle of stretching.

"Me? I'm. . . the woman who'll be the first Queen of the Pirates."

She watched the two look at each other and snicker, but that got Dragonite to use Chilling Water on them, getting them wet and cold.

"Hm, Dragonite. Keep an eye on them then. Make sure they don't pull any funny moves." Luffy said as her Dragon Pokemon nodded, and the two people quivered in fear.

"Have a safe trip!" Crocus waved.

"See ya, Laboon! I'm leaving now!"
