Mom? Mimkyualre's new attack!
Purple's POV
"Jearn!" I cried as he dodged another attack. This had been going on for a while. Jearn would be kind and caring, sometimes saving me, Blake and Max. But then he was a whole other person the rest of the time. Which would be what, you may ask? Trying to kill me. That was what happened the entire weekend. Not during the week, where Blake and Max could help. On the weekends. I was worn out by the time I got away from him. I collapsed on my bed. I was going to look horrible tomorrow. I glanced at the clock and groaned. 5:30 am. That made it worse. If Chelsea was still with them, then this wouldn't be happening. I sat up and changed into some fresh clothes. I didn't bother to brush my hair. (There's a secret to that...) I then left, grabbing an apple on my way out. I got to school with 5 minutes before class. I tried to sleep for those 5 minutes. That wasn't the case.
"Wow... and I thought I looked dead in the morning." I turned to see Kevin, Nate, and Cameron all standing there. I smirked.
"You do. You win." I put my head down. There was a chuckle.
"You're bad at this." I stood up and flipped out my Children's Guard ID.
"Watch it." Kevin snarled as him and his friends left.
At lunch...
I had my head down on the table when Blake and Max sat down. I sat up. Max blinked.
<Are you good? You look tired.> I smiled.
"I'm ok... I just didn't get a lot of sleep..." I felt pain in the back of my neck.
"Really?" I hissed.
"You didn't need it." Marshadow scoffed.
"What is going on?" Noivila whispered.
"Marshadow hit me." I whimpered.
"You'll live." Marshadow remarked.
"Purple?" I mentally cursed. I had zoned out long enough for the other two to worry.
"Sorry... I have a lot on my mind." Max frowned, but let it slide.
After school...
We were going to Jearn's home to discuss precure stuff. I was in the clouds the entire time. Luckily they didn't ask. I went an entire week like this. Don't get me wrong, I was getting better. But by Friday, the others knew something was wrong. I went from tired and lost to panicked and on edge. I had a good feeling.
Ok... this is the day Jearn can't do anything! I was wrong.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"WINDING ROAR!"
I yelped as I was thrown into a wall. The pain of last weekend returned. I moaned softly as he slammed his foot on my head. He smiled darkly as I whimpered weakly.
"Well, well, well. The great Purple Midori, the one who can't defend himself." I yelped as he grabbed my throat. "You should've disappeared with your mother." I gasped as he let go. I passed out after he left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to knocking at the door. I couldn't tell what door it was. I heard it open and prayed that it wasn't Jearn.
"Purple! You have visitors!" I gulped.
"I'll... be down in a minute..." I trailed off instantly. There was a light knock on the door. Marshadow peaked it's head in and sighed. "I said that I would be down in a min..." Marshadow went over and touched my throat.
"No... no you're not. You're either sleeping on the couch or in the bed. No school for-" It was cut off by a whimper.
"No... anything... but... that..." I kept fading out. "I... don't... want... Jearn... to... to..." I trailed off. Marshadow paused.
"Can I bring your friends up?" I nodded. Marshadow went out. After a moment, there was a light knock.
"Hmm?" I murmured. The door opened to Blake and Max. Shit...
"Purple? Are you ok?" Blake asked, concern filling his tone. I knew that it was an act. Blake was emotionless, except for when he's sick or hurt.
"Yeah... I just..." Max paused. Blake frowned.
"I'll be back..." He stepped out. Max sat down next to me, his hands ready to sign.
<What happened? I heard explosions last week.> I looked down at the ground.
"Nothing... I just-" I was cut off by a soft voice.
"Please.............." I glanced at him. He was looking at the ground. For some reason I had a guilty feeling in my stomach.
"Ok ok ok... I'll talk... I'll talk..." I gulped, holding the screams of pain down. "I... I have been getting smacked around by Jearn... he still wishes for my death..." He paused.
"When did it start?" I gulped again.
"3 weeks ago..." I murmured. Arms wrapped around me. I blinked and looked over. Max smiled at me.
<I'm sorry... I should have known.> I smiled.
"No... you're good..." I paused. "Wait... was that you-" I was cut off by Max putting a hand on my mouth. It was removed as Blake slipped in with a cup of water.
"Here... this might help... I'll be downstairs if you guys need anything." He then vanished downstairs. I sighed.
"You didn't let me finish..." I murmured. Max smiled.
<Sorry... continue.> I smiled.
"Was that you talking?" Max quivered.
<Yeah...> I frowned.
"Then why did you say that you're mute?"
<I... I don't like using my voice... I have 3 kinds of voices, all sound the same. One is a forceful voice, which makes people listen and follow. Another one is a spell voice, which helps me cast. The last one is a pokemon voice, which helps me talk to not just pokemon, but non humans in general. I don't want to trigger the wrong voice, so I go mute and only use them if necessary.> I smiled.
"That's... awesome..." I trailed off. Max frowned.
<If you want, you can stay at my place. I'm fine with it.> I smiled.
"Thanks Max... I'll do that... tomorrow... I'll come to your place..." Max smiled big.
<ok!>
The next day...
I was walking to Max's house when something slammed into me. Pain rushed through me as I yelped. A strong hand grabbed my mouth.
"Don't." My eyes widened. Jearn. I whimpered as he pulled me into an alleyway. "I'll teach you what happens when you try to get away from me." I tried to protest. He smashed my head into a wall. Everything went black.
Max's POV
Purple was supposed to be here an hour ago. I was finishing up with breakfast. Something didn't feel right. I pulled my phone out and texted him. That was when there was a ring at the door. I sighed as I went to the gate. I opened it to see Marshadow floating there.
"Marshadow..." I murmured. It wasn't often that I had to use my pokemon voice, but this seemed serious.
"Purple... Jearn..." My eyes widened.
"Where?" As we were running to help Purple, I was thinking about his condition after I got there.
Mysterious person's POV (Purple's location)
As Jearn was throwing Purple around and Purple's friend was running to help, I couldn't help but giggle at the sight of what was about to happen. I teleported behind Jearn as he held a knife to Purple's neck.
"Tsk, if you're going to be a problem, I'll have to get rid of you." He whipped around and met my eyes, fear racing through his.
Max's POV
"In here!" Marshadow called to me. I was worried about Purple. He could be hurt, or worse, dead. As I ran into the alleyway, I stopped, realizing that someone beat me to it. Jearn was being held against a wall by someone that was hiding in a cloak. Purple was murmuring under his breath, leaning against a wall. Jearn started stuttering.
"Please Llumyal... we can talk about this..." The person snarled.
"You better start running then..." He bolted as soon as the person let go. The person turned to me and smiled. The person pulled off the cloak.
"Hello dear. My name is Llumyal Midori." Purple mumbled something before shivering. She paused. "Can you..." I nodded and went over to him. I started murmuring a soft spell.
Purple's POV
I was starting to think I was dead when I started to hear murmuring. I opened an eye to see Max kneeling next to me. A familiar figure stood over me. My eyes widened.
"Mom?" My voice quivered. She smiled and brought me into a hug.
"Let's get you to a bed..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Llumyal helped me get onto the couch, Max brought the food to me. I smiled at him.
"Thanks..." My vision blurred, indicating that the pain was back. Max frowned and put a hand on my leg. The pain roared to life. I bit my lip, trying not to scream. He sighed as he put his arms out and murmured something. A soft glow surrounded me, eliminating the pain. I blinked.
<You're welcome...> I smiled at that.
"Well... it's good to see that you have people to help you out..." The two of us turned to Llumyal. I grinned.
"Mom... where were you?" She smiled.
"In deep hiding. I pretty much went into hibernation so that Jearn couldn't find me. And it worked... except that he went after you and the other two..." I stood up and hugged her.
"I missed you..." She sighed.
"Same." Max smiled.
<You two...> There was a light giggle in the room. I frowned.
"It's probably not a good idea to go back home..." Max paused.
<Maybe if we talk to Blake, we can build a house here and make this our base!> I smiled.
"Yeah... we'll talk to him tomorrow..." I murmured, trailing off. Max grabbed my hand and helped me to my room.
The next day at school...
I yawned as we stepped into the schoolyard. Max giggled.
"Stop... that was the most amount of sleep I've had in weeks." He smiled.
<I know... but I think it's cute.> I looked at him in surprise as he ran over to Blake. I shook my head, hoping that was my imagination.
"Hey Blake. How's it going?" He smiled.
"Great... what about you?" I shrugged.
"Pretty good..." Max paused before explaining the plan we had discussed. Blake smiled.
"That's a great idea."
After school...
We were walking home from school. We decided that we would wait until we had the base and my new house built before anything happened. The ground started shaking when we met up with my mom.
"Kids get inside!" We turned to see Jearn and Icelit standing on a building. A large monster had appeared. I glanced at my mom.
"No... you get back. Let's go guys!" The other two nodded as we raced forward. Marshadow appeared next to Jearn, distracting him. Me and Blake pulled out our poke-wands and Max pulled out his poke-bell.
"PRECURE ON!"
***
A bright light surrounded the boys. Inside the light was a pearl, silver, green, and blue background. Noivila and Mimkyu appeared between them. Smoke covered Purple's body and his outfit appeared. Water did the same for Blake. Max hugged his chest which made his outfit appeared. The boys ran a hand through their hair, which changed it. Max rang the bell, which changed his hair. The half-staff and quiver appeared in front of them. Max's weapons appeared next to him. Their poke-wands were put into sheaths on their backs. Max's bell was put into a pouch on his belt. They grabbed their respective items and landed.
"River of the Shallow Mind! Cure Dewott!"
"Speed of Chance! Cure Noivern!"
"Here and now! Pokemon Precure Duet!"
"Stories and Dreams Combined! Cure Mimkyualre!
***
"Curses... Skater!" The monster raced at them.
"PANELICAL!"
The monster screeched to a stop in pain. Dewott jumped up to fight with Marshadow. I pointed an arrow at the monster and smirked.
"SHOCK WAVE!"
The monster hissed as electricity raced around it.
"Dewott!" Dewott nodded as he landed next to me. Mimkyualre ran over to us.
"Precure!"
A small pokeball appeared in front of us.
"Dream Toucher..."
The pokeball started to glow.
"Feather Mercenary!"
A blast fired at the monster. It circled the monster, calming it.
"Happy..." Icelit hissed.
"I'll be back..." She then vanished. Jearn had also disappeared. The three of us deformed and went over to my mom.
"You guys did great!" She turned to Marshadow. The two hugged. "It's good to see you!" I smiled.
"Hey!" We turned to see Noelle running over to us. I introduced her to my mom, who was happy that I had a group of friends. We went inside Max's house to start planning the base.
