"Noooo..."

Blake busted out laughing as Purple groaned.

"Blake... this isn't funny! I have to go to all of the classrooms on the 2nd floor and up... for a week!" Purple cried. Blake snickered.

"Ok... so the 7th floor I can understand... but the 2nd floor?" Purple whimpered as they walked into the schoolyard.

"Hey Purple! Where's your sister?" They turned to see Emerald waving to them. He was with Z, Velvet and Silver. Purple cursed under his breath before answering.

"Home sick." Emerald nodded before talking to his group. Blake glanced at Purple.

"How long are you going to keep doing that?" Purple grimaced.

"You mean the excuses?" Blake nodded. "Until they come back... or someone calls BS on me." Blake smirked.

"Well if you're going to keep going... then so will I." Purple smiled.

"Thanks Blake..."

After school...

Blake and Max were walking home to work on a project. Blake felt a tap on his shoulder. He glanced at Max, who had his hands ready. Purple and Blake knew sign language, so Max didn't have to write long sentences on a piece of paper.

<Are we going to your home or mine? You never said.> Blake grimaced.

"Mine... don't expect a loving family. Expect... a group of weirdos..." Max paused.

<Ok...> The two boys arrived at a gate in the abandoned part of town. Max recognized it due to his place was nearby. Blake unlocked it and opened it, letting Max go first. He then closed the gate and led Max through the tunnel. The tunnel led to an opening with a large tree in the middle. Water surrounded the tree.

"Blake! Is that you!" A voice called out to the two boys. Blake smirked.

"Yeah! I have a friend over for a project! We'll be in my room if you need anything!"

"Ok!" Blake smiled at Max as he brought him over to a small dock with a boat at it. He then, after they crossed the water, led Max up to the farthest door and brought him in.

"Sorry about that. I don't live with my actual family. I live with a bunch of friends from school." Max nodded. Somewhere in the middle of the project, Blake's phone rang. He groaned at that. "If that is my dad, I'm going to repeat myself for the last time." He went over and picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Blake!"

"Purple? What's going on?" He heard a loud crash on the other side of the call. "Don't tell me..."

"Yeah... monster..." Blake grimaced.

"I'll be there in 2 minutes." He hung up. He then turned to Max. "I'll be back. Purple's being an idiot." Max nodded and Blake grabbed his pokeballs. After he left, Max pulled out his own pokeball. Out popped a Flabébé.

<Follow him.>

Blake arrived out of breath.

"Purple, I swear-" He stopped when he saw the scene. He should've kept the call going, because the monster was on top of Purple, who was unconscious. Blake couldn't see any injuries, but that was also because the monster covered most of Purple. Blake could only see a hand. "Purple!"

"How cute..." Blake immediately looked up to see Guard smiling at him. "But you won't last either." Darkness surrounded Blake before he could say anything.

Oh no! Max's mind was running at a hundred miles when he saw what was happening. What do I do now?

"Excuse me?" Max glanced up to see a small creature looking at him. "Do you know where Blake went?" Max looked at the ground.

<He went to go help Purple with something... but...> The creature's eyes widened.

"Do you want to help them?" Max glanced at it and nodded. "Do you think you can repeat after me?" It asked, hopeful. Max smiled faintly. "Take this poke-bell and try to say 'Precure On!'" Max gulped as he took the bell and mouthed.

"PRECURE ON!"

Nothing happened at first. The creature looked at the ground, defeated. Max frowned and looked at the bell. He smiled. He tried again, this time ringing the bell as he mouthed.

"PRECURE ON!"

A bright light surrounded Max. Inside the light was a pearl background. Several lights surrounded him, changing his clothes and hair. The bell went into a small pouch on his belt. An item appeared next to him. He grabbed it as he landed next to the creature.

"Stories and Dreams Combined! Cure Mimkyualre!

He smiled at his new appearance.

"Come on!" He nodded as he jumped after the creature. He was able to get in front of it, his hands moving.

<What is your name?> The creature smiled.

"Sorry. My name is Mimkyu. And you are?"

<Max.> They got to the scene. Max's eyes widened. Purple was still under the monster. Blake was in the grip of another monster.

"Ugh... more cures... Armory! Fire!" The monster that had Purple fired bullets at Mimkyualre. He jumped out of the way and casted.

"CANROAR!"

The attack caused the monster to disintegrate. Guard vanished with a hiss. Mimkyualre then turned his attention towards the monster with Blake. Blake was mumbling something under his breath. The monster spit out some kind of powder, which was easy to dodge.

"STAORRINGER!"

The monster disintegrated, dropping Blake. Mimkyualre caught him before landing safely on the ground. The other person simply vanished. Blake's eyes fluttered open.

"What..." He blinked at Mimkyualre, who smiled and put him down. "Thanks..." Mimkyualre smiled then went over to Purple. Purple was pale. Mimkyualre shook him.

"Thank you..." He murmured. Mimkyualre helped him to his feet. Blake went over and got Purple on his back. Mimkyualre smiled before deforming. Blake's eyes widened before he smiled softly and carried Purple home. Max asked Flabébé to grab their project. Blake fixed up Purple's injuries. They sat in Purple room while he rested.

"So you're a precure too?" Max glanced at him, confused. Blake smirked. "I'm Cure Dewott and Purple's Cure Noivern." Max nodded. A soft murmur escaped Purple's mouth, something about heights, which made the two boys giggle.

<Blake?>

"Yeah Max?"

<Two things. One: are there other cures?>

"Yes... there are 7 others... they all went missing a couple weeks ago... don't tell anyone. Me and Purple are hiding the fact that they were kidnapped." Max nodded.

<Two: how did you get the place you live at now?> Blake smiled.

"Me and my friends all worked together to get it. We wanted the place next door as well... but it was a no..." Max paused before his hands started moving.

<Well... Let's get this project done.>
