Misty's POV:

  I'm so glad that I finally found the courage to break up with Gary recently. He was really starting to get on my nerves while also violating my personal space so I know I'm better off without him.

  I do feel a little lonely, but at least I gave my best friend Casey by my side. She also had to go through an break up with her ex-boyfriend Ritchie too so we were single pringles together.

  But one day, there was a talent contest at my school. Me and Casey worked together to put on a small play, but in the end, the winner was Melody and won with her beautiful singing voice.

  She's a really popular girl at my school, and although I'm not normally a fan of thise types of people and think they're snobby and rude, I actually really liked her as a friend.

  But then that all changed after hearing her sing, I was starting to crush on her. I mean she was very pretty too.

  Although I did only recently go through a break-up, when I wasn't around Casey, I would start to hang out with Melody. She was really sweet and I always got blushy when I saw her smile.

  After a few weeks, I decided to ask her out. She said yes and we started dating.

  When I told the news to my best friend, she told me she was happy for me, but deep down I could tell she was a little sad. Maybe it was because she wasn't dating anyone at that time or maybe it was because I was starting to spend more time with my new girlfriend than her.

  I wanted to say something, but then Melody whisked me off whenever I would try and speak with Casey. My girlfriend was trying to block me off from everyone other than her... but I couldn't see it at the time...
