Pokéshipping - Ash & Misty

Misty had basically taken over gym leader duties. She figured she would have to do it alone, with only the gym trainers as company. It gets boring waiting for challengers most of the day. That was when Ash returned from the region he was traveling at the time.

"Hi, Misty! I haven't seen you for a while!" Ash said. Misty allowed herself a smile.

"A lot has changed around here," she said, stepping down from platform she was standing on. "I'm now practically a full time gym leader."

"Wow, that's so cool!" Said Ash. He seemed genuine, too.

"But that means we can't hang out." Misty said, shaking her head. "Guess I won't be seeing you this break."

Ash pondered the problem for a while. Suddenly, he smiled.

"I know! I can hang out here with you in the gym! Maybe I can help out with pool maintenance or something!"

"That's not a terrible idea! Who knew you actually had a brain in there?" Misty said jokingly. Ash smiled again.

"I'm just glad I'll still have a chance to spend time with you!" He said. The two friends spent the rest of the day catching up on what happened while they were apart. Misty felt whole again. She had missed Ash more than she was willing to admit. What she didn't know was that Ash felt the same way.
