"See brocko, I am always travelling,don"t have that much time and even when I am home I seem to have 0 amount of time for love,she is always the one around me,begging for time and I feel guilty for disappointing her every time"
"That's totally bull of an excuse Ash,you know it's in your hands...you can mend it easily ,then why such a horrible act?It's not like you are the same wandering 10 year kid,you are now the pokemon champion . Everything and nothing is your call in your life!
Whether you wanna travel or want to be at home ,it's your call. You aren't required to wander about aimlessly .You are only needed when the whole pokemon league starts,that too when the winner of the league starts his challenge journey , for freaking shouting out even then you might have a month or so, the winner challenges Elite 4 ,only if he defeats all 4-he gets to battle the current champ ie you....if not you are at rest even during the league and you are telling me you don't have a single month, a single week once in a blue moon to give it to Misty?"

"I do Brock, I have given given her whatever time I could and it came to be known as just 3 weeks in 1.5 years . Is that good? Did I live up to her expectations?"

"I uh was just bored,since I became Poke master I had nothing new to do,I somehow missed the journey days,the fun , everything"

Heck we do but can't travel around aimlessly just for fun or to relive that fun ..whatever you have said till now doesn't justify you breaking up with that poor girl madly in love with you, whatever I've heard till now suggests you were at fault not her

"They told ,told me Misty is very different-she is very commanding and has a temper and she uh will dominate me everytime,will make me waste my time, will make me feel guilty for small petty issues,and she being the way she is she wouldn't care I was a Master when we go public she'll still treat me as a kid she met and saved ages ago. She will run me down for not making up for dates,she will be uncomfortable with the attention I get from girls and will feel jealous and left out and she'll fight with me for it ,she'll ruin my everyt-----"

Ash stopped from his self amusing blabber just when he noticed Brock ROFLing on the floor
"Oh my mew ......Hahaha oh ash hahaha you're a genius Ketchum" Brock said in between fits of laughter

"What's so funny Brocko ? Here I am pouring every bit of my love story to you and you are busy rolling on the marble floor "
And now Ash was getting impatient so he ordered Pikachu to thunderbolt the spiky haired lightly

But wait ,where was Pikachu?
He was right beside Brock laughing himself off along with Brock

"Pikachuuuh 😰 you too ! Traitors😡" Ash murmured

On this both Brock and Pikachu straightened up
"Look Ash you're one hell of intelligent ,must say
All the things you mentioned ,did you experience even one of them with Misty ? Did you ever hear her run you down in public ? Yes she loves bossing over you but ever since this relationship begun ,has she lost her temper anyhow in public or private
Has she ever used emotional drama the other girls do ? Heck no
But how would you know it ? You were busy processing whatever shit some people wanted to instill in you
Do those people even know misty ? No
But you do ,even before me
Ash,Misty knows where to draw the line
She knows when you require her as a bestie and when as a girlfriend
In fact Misty has handled it way too maturely than I ever hoped for
For that I'll pat her on back
It's you who needs to know when to switch on the boyfriend mode and when to off the best friend one
She's brave enough to put up with you till now
If you continue this ,you'll lose her as both girlfriend and best friend or should I say you already have

'Pikachu' Ash called & stood with expressions of a horrendous criminal
What have I done ? I knew her way better than those people and their rumored stupid trash
I should have rectified it a lot earlier

"OK buddy let's leave we have to make it up to her anyhow"

To his luck ,Misty was still in his house helping Delia with dinner arrangements
She was chopping vegetables while he came in

"Hi ,hi misty" he said nervousness written on his face

"Hi Ash " she said without glancing at him

"You're still here ? I mean don't you have to go back ?"
Great way to go Ketchum he mentally slapped himself

"It's pretty late and I definitely can wait till tomorrow ,unless you want me to leave right now "

Shit he muttered sadly that's not what he meant

"No ,I um no need to--- uh ,you can stay till you feel like" he replied
"Don't worry I'll leave morning itself
If Mrs K hadn't requested me to stop for dinner I would have left in evening " she added

"Not that way Mist,I don't mean to pinpoint or hurt you ,You belong here more than I do ,you've been here in my absence ,always in support of mom " he said trying to make amends

"That's all Ketchum? thank you for letting me know how much I did and you're repaying me by letting me stay infinitely" Misty answered sadly
This being said,their eyes locked for some seconds when she looked up

"Misty,are you done chopping it ? Even if not then come in garden ,it's beautiful" Delia shouted from the arena
"Yes Mrs K ,I am done ,just there in a moment ". she answered back
'Pikachupi ' pikachu spoke and climbed up her shoulder
"You wanna come too ". she whispered petting his fur
'Pi' it exhaled

Misty went out leaving Ash alone
What she saw in the garden ,made her smile widely
All of Ash's pokemon and hers' as well were out there ,enjoying themselves in a mini poke party

The cool wind making them even more happy
This atmosphere is what they never get in pokeballs
Delia might have arranged for it,she thought

Then she saw Ash coming ,she knew they had to inform Delia about their break up
So before Ash did speak ,she walked over to Delia and hugged her and whispered

"Umm Mrs K ? I need to tell you that Ash is no more my boyfriend ,he broke up with me this morning "
"What ??" Delia asked eyes widening in response

"Wait that's not true mom " Ash spoke
"It is Mrs K , no need to hide it Ash " Misty countered turning to Delia

"Excuse us mom " Ash said dragging Misty along to where their pokemon were

"What're you doing Ash? Stop behaving like a kid for once
Mrs K is mature unlike you ,she can handle it ,she will accept it " Misty yelled irritated

"No ,what if I say forget what happened this morning Mist " Ash asked hoping

"What ? Are you serious ,this morning was horrible due to our ugly Split up .
You come & break up and I obey and now you say forget it ? Break up means permanently splitting up ,you and me are no more responsible for each other
Whatever thing between us has to end when you say break up
You do realise it or you don't? " Misty said trying to make him explain him being the numbskull he is

"No,I don't want you to be free of me ,of pikachu or of my mom I wanna have you forever " Ash replied his tone begging yet firm

"Ash ?? Stop making up for a thing which never mattered" Mist said almost choking

"The breakup ? " Ash asked stupidly

"No the relation Ash ,it never mattered ,hardly existed and I am glad you decided to end a no-substance tie up "

"No mist,listen first I am stupid I broke up just Like that
I am a dumb case misty ,I have been ignoring you thinking you will be the one causing me trouble but instead I was the one causing you emotional distress.
Please don't leave , please don't let a nutcase be one for the whole life time "
He said holding her hands And on his knees

She levelled up to him
"What do you want Ash ,you're saying this now ,what if your mind changes you ask me to leave again in morning ?" Misty asked her tone coming to normal
"You have to stay Misty,in this house " Ash blurted

"Not about house dumb ,about your life !" Misty groaned

"No not from anywhere Mist.Wherever Ash Ketchum is, you always need to be near " Always "
He added touching forehead to forehead ,nose to nose

"You're dumb,stupid,idiot,moron,you've made me cry so much " she said beating him on chest
"But you'll stay right, mist ? " he never stopped her from the beating

"Of course, I will ; to make you payback for your deeds you impatient dummy " she grinned

"Thanks Mist" he said earnestly kissing her

Delia smiled from the corner and pikachu ran from her to jump on Pikapi and pikachupi

Misty retired for the night after dinner and slept with pikachu as he insisted so
And ash slept to the other side of them
